Morning Prayer Summary for Friday, November 11, 2022

Brother DJ…

Good morning, everybody. It’s time to praise the Lord. It’s always good to praise the Lord. Today is Veterans Day, 11/11/22. Father, we praise you for this country. We thank you, Father, for all the veterans and then those who died for us. I thank you, Father. We pray for their families. We pray you will encourage them this morning on this good Friday.

Just do it…

I’m driving here from my home. I left early. I’m thinking, I’m going to prayer. Let’s go get some hot donuts! Then I say, “Oh no, I’m going to be late.” I had told somebody that I’ll mail this check this morning. So I’m looking for a mailbox. So I’m going here and there, but time is running out. So my desire to get the donuts, but I don’t want to do it. The Holy Spirit was saying, “It’s not me stopping you to do anything, it’s you! If you want to do something, just do it.”

Thank you, Father. Just do it! Whatever you want to do, just do it.

I have a scripture. This Scripture is so simple and helpful. The Holy Spirit gave me the scripture. “Do not despise small beginnings.” He said, “For who has despised the day of the small things?” When I read this translation from somewhere else, the Lord is saying rejoice. He rejoices in the beginning, start of something.

When I read that, I had huge work to do different things. I put on my different clothes quickly go there to start. Because He rejoices in our starting because He said He who begin a good work in us, He’s faithful to finish it. Do not despise the small beginnings. The Holy Spirit is saying, whatever you desire, as long as it is good and just, just do it. He’ll not stop me to bring the donuts if I desire to bring donuts for you guys. He will say, “Go for it. Go for it!” Anything you desire.

Leave the driving to Him…

Here’s another saying. “Leave the driving to Him.” There is a very old and very wise saying, “You can’t steer a parked car.” The same is true for our lives. We want to know what God wants us to do. We pray, “Should I do it? Should I wear the blue jacket?” The Lord says, “Whatever you desire.” The same is true of our lives. We want to know what God wants us to do, but very seldom does He just lay it out for us. Very seldom. We have to start moving. Step out in faith and give Him chance to steer you.

Do justly…

In Micah 6:8, “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?” And then He said, “Friend, you just need to start walking. Take a step in faith and as long as you are doing the right thing, the just thing, right and just, God will take it from there.

God rejoiced in the plumb line…

DJ was sharing about Zerubbabel. I love to think about him because, the Lord rejoiced when he just started to do something small and he laid the foundation. But from there, he built on that foundation. And how he did it, it said that the Lord rejoiced to see the plum line in his hand. And I saw that one day. I saw roads everywhere across the whole world that people, you know, their foundation in God is sure and established. They know who they are and they start building. And what they do is they take the plumb line. I’m not a carpenter or anything, but that levels things. It’s just so that everything is level and right. So your building is secure and it says that the church is the foundation and the pillar of truth on the earth.

The church’s job is to make sure it is on a sure foundation…

The world is a little bit crooked. They’re building on sand, so to speak. And the church’s job is to get out there and make sure that there’s a sure foundation and that this church is being built on that foundation and the pillars are straight and that building is secure. And it’s a safe haven for those that are a little bit like seasick out there with a… have you ever been into a house where … I’ve looked for houses and almost want to just take a marble with me and then just put it on the kitchen floor and see… “I’m not going to go for this house. It’s just not stable.”

I just thank you, Father, that you’re building your church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Thank you, Lord. You’re giving us light, you’re giving us a sure foundation in your Word, that we meditate on day and night. And from that foundation, Lord, you are building your church individually…. all across the nation… all across the world. And you’re rejoicing because people are taking the plumb line and they’re saying, “Lord, we’re building on.” And doing little things!

And, Father, you know when we do those little things, you multiply them back to us. So, Father, it’s not an overwhelming task to live by faith because you are strengthening us. You’re equipping us. You’re multiplying us.

Your Word is within us. We meditate on your Word day and night that we may observe, that we would be able to see the things that are right … and know that we have a heritage, a firm foundation in your Word established through the righteous blood of Jesus.

Barb…

Exodus 33:12 says, “Moses said to the Lord, You have been telling me, lead these people, but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said I know you by name and you have found favor with me. If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people. The Lord replied, My presence will go with you and I will give you rest. Then Moses said to Him, If your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth? And the Lord said to Moses, I will do the very thing you have asked because I am pleased with you and I know you by name. Then Moses said, Now show me your glory. And the Lord said, I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you and I will proclaim my name, “the Lord” in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

It starts with us…

And that’s where it starts. It starts with us. Every change in our state, every change in our nation, every change in our communities and our families, it starts with us saying, “Lord, you said we’re your people. We’re called by your name. Show us your glory. There’s supposed to be something that separates us, that people can see on us, that they can distinguish us from everyone else in the earth. That when they look at you, they say, “There’s something different about that person. I like that person.”

And it comes with us asking. It’s back to the asking. What are we asking for? Lord, your Holy Spirit is in us. You’re inside of us. Let that goodness and that grace and that peace and that power shine forth, that wherever we go, your glory is manifested in the earth. We are the manifesters of His glory. He has revealed His glory in us, and we continue to ask, “Lord, let your glory shine. Let your glory flow. Let the earth be filled with your glory, because we are in it.” We’re in it. We’re the light. We’re the salt of the earth. And if that salt has lost its savor, Lord, let it not be cast out, but let that that saltiness be restored. Let that savor be restored to your people. Let that passion and that desire for you come above all else. That you would be first and foremost, the desire of our hearts that we would go after you with such a fierce desire, pursuing you as the body of Christ, pursuing you with all that is within us.
