Morning Prayer Summary for Friday, May 8, 2020

Pastor Tim…

Thanks for tuning in and welcome to Friday morning prayer. So glad you decided to join us. How good the Lord is to us. He’s a good God and a good Father. Join me as we worship Him this morning.

♪ I’ve heard a thousand stories of … but I heard tender whispers of love in the dead of night and you tell me that you’re pleased and that I’m never alone… You’re a good, good Father… that’s who You are… who You are… who You are and I’m loved by You… ♪

It’s just an amazing thought to think of the God who created the entire universe, all of the world, everything that exists is our Father. We can come to Him as our Father. That’s an amazing thing. To think that we’re actually His children. And He loves us like a Father. And considers us and is mindful of us and provides for us and protects us, takes care of us because He cares for us deeply. He cares about every detail. Everything that we’re concerned about He’s concerned about. He said He knows even the numbers of the hairs on our heads. For some of us, that’s not much of a stretch but you get my point. Ha, ha, ha… He cares about every aspect of our lives. He’s a good, good father and He has only good in store for us. He said I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you are good and not for evil and destruction, but to give you a hope and a future, an expected end. That’s the plan He’s always had for us. He hasn’t altered that plan. He hasn’t changed His mind. He’s not going to go back on His Word. No matter what we’ve done or what the circumstances look like right now, that’s still His plan for us. Good! An expected end. So, you can put your hope in Him this morning and trust Him. Just come to Him like a little child, come to the Father this morning because He loves you and He cares about you and His arms are stretched out toward you. He’s a good, good, father. I want you to look at Him that way and consider Him that way and view Him as such. Run to Him this morning.

Cuz He’s a good, good Father… that’s who He is… and we’re loved by Him… that’s who we are…  ♪

If you have received the Lord as your personal Lord and Savior, you’ve invited Him into your life, that means that you’ve been adopted into His family and you’re His child. So, you can say “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I’ve been bought with the precious blood of the Lamb. I’ve been redeemed from the curse. I am a joint heir with Jesus Christ. Think about that! Seated in the heavenlies far above all powers and principalities and rulers of the dark places… whoo! I’m a child of the most high God. That’s who I am. Say that. “That’s who I am.” I’m a child of the most high God. Whooo! That means you have a rich inheritance. You have privileges. Not only your salvation but healing and deliverance, provision, protection, blessing and favor. Ha! Thank You, Lord! I just thank You for that.

While we’re doing this, reminding ourselves about how good He is, I have a testimony. I want to insert this here. It came to me by email this morning.

“I so enjoyed being able to stream LW’s prayer every day during this quarantine. I’m 62. When I was 15, I was diagnosed with two forms of psoriasis, a skin disease and also a skin disorder. For whatever reason, I was not making the healing connection. But last week, I was walking and praying in the spirit and the only way I can describe it is that I knew something clicked. I knew it was time. I was in faith to receive. Then two days ago, you had a strong unction for skin.”

We were praying over different parts of the body and skin just seemed to pop right off the page. So, we spent time on it. She said, “I received.” She was prepared. Something clicked in her expectation and then the Father healed her. This is from a lady in the southern part of the United States. She said, “Thank you. Love you all so much.” There are so many times when the Father God will set something up, line up some things that we could never even dream up and He’ll get us where we need to be. This lady was online when the word came forth… “Skin be healed. Be restored.” I don’t remember all that we prayed. That’s how good He is. Hallelujah! Let’s sing a little more about Him again.

Pastor Tim…

So good, that’s how good He is… He’s good all the time… everything He does is good… that’s how He works… that’s how He moves… that is our God… He’s good all the time… every day… never changes… He’s good all the time… He’s no respecter of persons… He’ll be good to you… He’ll do what you need Him to do… just believe and just receive… He’s good … we acknowledge Your goodness in our lives… like David, we reflect back on all the many things You’ve done… many blessings You’ve poured out on uskeep on getting better… every day is sweeter… every day is better

You know, Pastor Ray, I thought of something you said last week. This is like a declaration we’re making, like we’re releasing our faith. Even when situations around us don’t look very good and don’t look like they’re getting better…
Pastor Ray…

I was thinking when you were saying that, maybe there are some people online that are saying, “It’s not getting better. From what I can see, it’s not getting better.” But our declaration is what? Every day gets sweeter. Every day gets better! Ha, ha. We don’t know how He does it. We just know He does it. He’s doing it right now.

Heather, would you come up. I want you to testify about how much better it got for some people yesterday.

Heather…

Good morning. I work at Living Word and I started working a couple months ago on the online church. We host services and chat and pray with people. I looked at the reports and yesterday morning it was just off the charts for National Day of Prayer. We had 35 salvations, just on the online church platform. Which is amazing! Pastor Ken is pastor of the online church, and there are many hosts. He mentioned that 8 to 900 people on all three platforms, which is YouTube, Facebook, and Living Word website. It’s a blessing for all of us hosts to pray with people and believe with them, and to see the numbers increase. Especially for morning prayer. Pastor Mac’s services… we stream five times a day. And on Sunday, six times. Be blessed and just keep watching morning prayer at 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. If you miss it in the morning, you can watch it in the evening.

Pastor Ray…

Thank you. Hallelujah! It got really better for 35 people yesterday. It really, really got better. Isn’t that the bottom line anyway? I went to the grocery store yesterday and everyone is all behind plastic. I understand the reason for that. They have dots on the floor to stand. You can’t put groceries on the belt until they clean the belt. This lady is busy spraying the belt and it’s going by. I said, “Do you get tired of doing that?” She said, “Yeah, but you know. I feel like we’re probably always be doing this now.” I feel that way too. There are things that we should probably have been doing before as far as cleaning and watching over what we touch, whatever. Anyway, she cleaned it off and I put my groceries on there and she started checking them. She said something about the virus, and I said, “I believe that thing is defeated and it’s leaving, in Jesus’ name.” It just came out of my mouth. She said, “Amen! In Jesus’ name. It’s defeated.” She said, “No man can defeat it. Only Jesus!” I was like, oh my gosh! She said, “My family in Ethiopia has been praying and fasting for over 30 days coming against this virus.” So, I put my card in the slot. I go to get my groceries and she goes, “Actually the machine didn’t take your card.” So, I had to go back over. Then she began to… it’s almost like she started to preach. She said, “I think the Holy Spirit didn’t have that card work because there are some more things we needed to say.” Ahhh! I left lifted up and when I left, she said, “That makes my day!” Oh my!

Pastor Tim…

You had church in the grocery store! Come on!

Pastor Ray…

Even though she’s behind the plexiglass, the sound came through. The Holy Spirit is working wherever we go… we just have to recognize it. Sometimes like that, things come out. He’ll do the work. Yesterday, I said something about the scripture in Acts 4 and I wanted to read the Word about it. I said some things about that there are three things in the New Testament where the disciples preached the Word. They were filled with the Holy Spirit. And they had faith in the name of Jesus. So took place in Acts 4. Acts 4 toward the last part of it is all answering some situations or a situation where there was a man that couldn’t walk. He was expecting something, and Peter said, “Look at us.” Then he grabbed his hand and pulled him up. That man was healed. He ran all over the place because he was totally restored. It caused some problems for the disciples. Later on, they were arrested and thrown in prison overnight. But the people were “ramped up” because of what God had done when Peter said, “Get up” and the man was healed. So, in Acts 4… at the end of prayer yesterday, Pastor Lynne kind of went over what it means for us to be corporately connected. And the more the better. It’s the anointing.

I remember Mark Hankins said there are some things that we will never be able to do just on our own. We need the body of Christ together. We need all the gifts and the supplies. In Acts 4:23, “After they were permitted to go, [the apostles] returned to their own [company] and told all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.” Get the picture. They’re talking about what God had done. “And when they heard it, lifted their voices together with one united mind to God and said, O Sovereign Lord, You are He Who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything that is in them.” Then verse 26, “The kings of the earth took their stand in array [for attack] and the rulers were assembled and combined together against the Lord and against His Anointed (Christ, the Messiah).” That’s what happened. They threw them in jail. They weren’t happy about it. They didn’t like they were preaching, teaching, and speaking in the name of Jesus. They wanted them to be quiet. They said, “We can’t stop speaking about Jesus so that’s the way it’s going to be.” Verse 29, “And now, Lord, observe their threats and grant to Your bond servants [full freedom] to declare Your message fearlessly, while You stretch out Your hand to cure and to perform signs and wonders through the authority and by the power of the name of Your holy Child and Servant Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage. … And with great strength and ability and power the apostles delivered their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace (loving-kindness and favor and goodwill) rested richly upon them all.”

That is us in these days when we do speak His Word. And then the Holy Spirit confirms the Word. That’s one of the things He does. We speak the Word and the Holy Spirit performs the signs and wonders and the miracles. We can’t do that. But we have the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who performs miracles and we know in the Word, we have been given the authority to use the name that is above every other name. Jesus. Let us not ever use His name in any other way. So, we honor the name. I’m so thankful, Lord. You made a way. We’re going to crank up our expectation more and more and more every day.

Today, there are things that are being shaken. The place where the disciples were in was shaken. But we have in our nation alone there’s a lot of shaking going on. Things are being shaken up. But we believe things are turning around because God said through His Word that He would turn things… use what the Devil tried to do for His own good. Thank You for a turnaround. Like Peter, we can say, “Stand up. Rise up. Take your place. Run if you need to. Shout if you have to.” But do what God has called you to do.

Pastor Tim…

I was thinking about what you said.

He takes what the enemy meant for evil… and He turns it for good. It’s what He does… that’s what our God does… You take what the enemy meant for evil and You turn it for good…

Pastor Ray…

We speak over our economy. While you were singing that, I’m thinking a shift, like a… you said something about minds, and it reminded me of a paradigm shift where some minds have to be changed and see things in a different way. We lift up our leaders all over America, state by state. And we declare the economy is beginning to turn around and go up. It’s not going down any longer. It’s beginning to turn around in Jesus’ name. What the enemy meant for absolute evil is turning around. And we choose and declare life to the economy. Life! We speak life! Victory. Increase. Momentum. Right now in these days. (tongues)

In my spirit, I see people and businesses that are right on the edge of shutting down forever. Right on the edge of bankruptcy. But we say today, “Life! To you and to you, state by state, all over the United States.” Victory. A turnaround. A sudden change. In Jesus’ name. Don’t quit or give you. You will win. What was meant for evil, the Lord will turn it around.

Pastor Tim…

Pastor Ray…

Romans 12:2 says “Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” So, it’s a different way of thinking. It is a shift. “That by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” In Proverbs 4:25 it says, “Let your eyes look directly forward.” We could say, “Forward march!” We’re moving ahead. Then this scripture goes on to say, “and let your gaze be straight before you.” Keep looking forward. I have that so much in just these past weeks that we be no so moved by what we see that we’ve already gone through. But we keep looking to the new. So when we say it’s getting better, we’re not just “la de dahing” along. We are declaring it by the power of the Holy Spirit. Things are getting better. Let’s not quit. Let’s keep declaring what His Word says like you said Pastor Tim. Jeremiah, for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Whooo! Hallelujah!

Pastor Tim…

We lift up our President and pray for those around him and those in his family. We pray for protection in Jesus’ name. And we declare no weapon formed against them will prosper. We say hidden things will be revealed. Lies, inaccuracies, wrong plans, plans of the devil to try to take this nation down… they shall be uncovered. More and more and more. This nation will become more united together in Him. And those things that were promised in the Word, the former and latter rain, all gathered together… a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Like that lady in the grocery store said, “No man can do it. Only Jesus can do it.”

Father, You did it before. You moved in New York city, the prayer meeting that started an outpouring and it went across the United States, a move. Then at Azusa, what you did there, Lord. Many thousands of people that came and their lives were changed. Thank You, Father, for a great outpouring of Your Spirit. We believe for wonderful signs and miraculous happenings. Great turnarounds in Jesus’ name.

Let’s not forget to pray Psalm 91.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.”

Father, thank You for the power of the blood that was shed at Calvary. It’s working on our behalf today so we cover our entire nation with the blood. Our governor here in Minnesota, we lift him up and pray protection for him and direction. We say the Lord is our refuge. You are our most high, our dwelling place and no harm will overtake us or no disaster will come near our tent. Can we sing something right here at the end, Tim?
