Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Prayer leader DJ…
Good morning, everybody. What is today? 25/25. Grace upon grace. You know how many people can use grace. Five is the number of grace. But when I read 25/25. Grace upon grace. Multiply.
Father, we thank you the number speaks. All the creation speaks. Thank you, Jesus.
John 3:16…
I was driving by and I saw a big sign this morning. It’s a football NFL team. It says John 3:16 on Highway 169. You see, a lot of people don’t know what John 3:16 is. We know because we know Him. We know, because we know He said, “For God so loved the world, He sent His only begotten Son. Whosoever shall believe in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
His grace is sufficient…
So the numbers speak. Can you believe that somebody put on the billboard, John 3:16? Just to show people what is that meaning is. Thank you, Lord. His grace is sufficient. Paul said “His grace is sufficient for me. When I’m weak, then I’m strong” because His grace is sufficient for me and you.
He gives grace to the humble…
When Pastor Otey was preaching on a Wednesday night, he said, “His grace is sufficient for me.” He said He gave grace to the humble. And we are humble because we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord. And He will lift us up! This morning, He’s going to lift you up. He’s going to lift you up. He’s going to lift me up. And He will lift us up if we humble our ourselves.
Anyway, Pastor Otey said…
“Do you want more grace?” You know what the answer that he gave? “Then get more humble.” It’s so easy to get more grace! Just get more humble. He said one time years ago, “You know what just stuck with Me.”
It just stuck with me to remember the one word from Pastor Otey. “If you want more grace, get more humble.”
Stay humble and walk in love…
I remember I was meeting a friend of mine. We had arguments with the business or something, and I was ready to argue again. And so was he. And when I got to Caribou Coffee on 169 where I saw this sign this morning, John 3:16… We met there. We were meeting there and the Spirit of God said, “Stay humble and walk in love.” Stay humble and walk in love.
You know, that changed me. My whole argument was gone. And I was filled with the love of God for that man. And guess what? In place of arguments, we did business. Because we stayed humble and walked in love. Thank you, Jesus. Isn’t it good? Stay humble and walk in love. It’s not that hard.
Jesus humbled Himself…
You know the Bible says Jesus humbled Himself… He gave His life for us. He could have called down legions of angesl and take care of the business. He had a humble attitude. We have a humble attitude. He gives grace to the humble. Hallelujah. He gives grace to the humble, grace upon grace.
Moses was the most humble man…
We are talking about grace and humility in worshiping Him. The Bible says Moses was the most humble man on the earth. Can you believe that? There are millions of people living in that time. He was the most humble man upon the earth. How could it be possible? He received grace from God and He was a humble man, strong in the spirit, but humble in his heart and attitude. He was so humble. One time his brother and sister talked bad about him, criticizing him. And you know what happened to them? Leprosy!
He was the most humble man. If we humble ourselves, He has our backs. Stay humble and walk in love. Let no jealousy… He said to get rid of jealousy. Get rid of bitterness, jealousy, anger, malice, backbiting. Just get rid of it! Who can stand against jealousy?
King Saul was jealous…
Now we’re talking about jealousy. Jealousy caused King Saul his kingdom and his life. I was reading about how it happened. Jealousy came with little things. It’s the little things… What is that saying? “It’s the little foxes that spoil the vine.” And yeast. “A little yeast destroy the whole batch of dough.”
Little things!
So what happened, Saul loved King David because Saul was tormented by an evil spirit. And he was looking for somebody who can play anointed music. So the suggestion was to call somebody who can play anointed music. And that’s a truth. The Bible says that when David played the harp, the evil spirit would leave Saul and the Spirit of God will rest and refreshing came upon him. Anointing on this music.
God’s music, the worship songs, have anointing. I have three hours of music. The same song going out for three hours. People come back in three hours. Are you listening to the same music? Oh yes. Because there’s anointing on the worshiping on God’s Word.
David’s harp playing was anointed…
So King David was chosen to play harp music. And when he played the harp, the evil spirit left King Saul. And he loved David and said he wanted him to stay with him. And David became a warrior. Then he killed Goliath with the stone. But he was a shepherd first. From shepherd to king. Who can do that? Only God can do that.
And guess what?
Today you’re here watching this morning, He’s got the same plan from shepherd to king. He said, “But I’m 80 years old.” So what? 80 years old? You know, Caleb… The Spirit of God on Caleb was so strong, Joshua and Caleb. And guess what? He was 80 years old when he asked the Lord “Give me the land.” He didn’t say the plain land. He said give the mountain or the rough places. He said, “I still have power and might flowing in me, the power of the Holy Spirit. I’ll take it on.”
Do you have the spirit of “I can” or “I can’t.”
So he was 80 years old when he started. You know what? He had the Spirit. You know the Bible says he had a different spirit. Different spirit. Like we have the Holy Spirit. We have the Spirit of God upon us. He had a spirit of “I can.”
And others had a spirit of, “I can’t.” Remember, there were 12 spies. And out of 12, 10 of them said, “I can’t.” Or “We can’t.”
Joshua and Caleb said, “We can.”
But two of them, Joshua and Caleb, said, “We can. Let’s go at once.” They said, “We don’t want to even wait. Let’s go.” Because they had the Spirit of God upon them. I call it the spirit of Caleb. They had a different spirit. Like us. We have a different spirit. We can’t give up.
“Oh, but I have a cancer. I have a growth. I have a tumor. I have kidney issue or that. But we can’t give up. We have a different spirit because the Word of God says “by the stripes of Jesus Christ, we are healed.” So that means we can be healed, we will be healed, we shall be delivered in Jesus’ name.
So anyway, he had a different spirit. “I can” spirit. The Bible says, “I can do all things in Christ who gives me strength.” The New Testament. He had, “I can” spirit back thousands of years ago when the Holy Spirit was not speaking through the world. But we have that different spirit already. We can do all things through Christ. We can!
