Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Prayer leader Cindy…
Good morning, everybody. Thank you for coming. We gather together today to bring glory to God. How happy are we today? It’s a happy, happy, happy day. We stir ourselves up, Father, in the things that you have promised and said that are ours in Christ Jesus.
Reinhard Bonnke used to ask, “Are you happy?”
I remember when Reinhard Bonnke was here; he would talk about God and how great He is. And he would say, “Are you happy? Are you happy? Are you happy?” So Let’s get happy today.
God is coming back for a glorious church..
Because God is coming back for a glorious church without spot, without blemish, and super happy because we earnestly long for that day, for His appearing every day and all throughout the day. And that final day in which He’s coming back to be glorified and marveled through His body here on earth.
The Lord is coming back for a cheering section!
I was meditating on this the last few days, and the Lord gave me this thought. He’s like, “I’m coming back for a cheering section. I’m not coming back for a busted and broken-down church, but I’m coming back for…
A happy church!
A joyful church!
An eagerly expecting and earnestly longing for the appearing of our Savior church!
Not so we can just get out of here, but because that day has been appointed for His glory so that the whole world can see how good He is through His church. Shining bright as the sun, shining bright as the sun. So we run our course with joy.
How do we receive every promise?
We’re to live by faith. And how do we receive every promise? With joy unspeakable and full of grace, receiving the end of our faith. Are you getting discouraged for the long drawn-out season of the promise and the receiving of the promise?
Prayed…
We thank you, Father, that we have a way to expedite things today.
We enter your gates with thanksgiving and your courts with praise.
We get into our place in heavenly places.
Thank you, Father. Thank you for all that you’ve done.
Thank you, Lord, that your plans are good. Not to harm us, but to give us an expected good end.
What is happening on this earth is only a means and a way of becoming more established in your goodness.
Thank you, Lord, for dead things falling off today as we just resist the temptation to grumble and complain.
And we remember that we enter your gates with thanksgiving and your courts with praise.
And this is the day that the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad therein.
Question: What did David do when his mighty men wanted to stone him?
What did David do when all of his mighty men wanted to stone him and all of his goods were stolen?
Answer:
He stirred himself up in the Lord. And then he inquired, “What would you have me do?”
One word from God gives you the fuel in your engine to go in the way that you should go, in a thankful and a praising kind of composure because God’s glory’s coming through.
Today is the day appointed for glory.
The eternal purpose is that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God might be made on display
It’s a wise thing to thank God.
It’s a wise thing to praise God.
Because He is good, and He is great, and He’s mighty, and He has planned it all out.
And He said, “Only believe and you will see My glory.”
We believe to see the goodness of God in the land of the living.
We believe for you to refresh us and lift us.
There’s a lifting. He even lifts our heads and our arms when they droop down.
And we remind ourselves, Father, that in you, we can…
Storm through troops
Climb over mountains
Leap over walls.
Because it’s the Greater One in us.
And you bring the increase.
Holy God, holy God. Childlike faith. We delight ourselves in you, and you give us the desires of our heart.
Desire of the King. And no word from the King is without power of fulfillment.
So we get happy because we get words from God that have power to fulfill.
And it’s not by might or power, but it’s by His Spirit, the Greater One living in us.
Thank you, Father.
Question: So how grateful are we today?
Jesus said that the glory He had before the foundation of the earth, He’s giving to us in His Spirit.
That’s the hope of glory that we set our hope wholly and unchangeably on at the appearing of Jesus every day.
Only be of good courage, for I have given you all power and authority.
So lift up your eyes and look unto the author and finisher of every good thing.
And I will lead you through the valleys into the higher places because I actually lift you up.
Cindy shared…
I said this once when I was in Kaye’s prayer group. I thought, “Oh, I don’t know if that actually went over well.” But I said, “You know, God has many ways of getting up that mountain. And sometimes it’s a rocky, craggy kind of way. And then, of course, He gives you hind’s feet so that you can do that. If you’ve ever seen a mountain goat, they’re having so much fun just on the edge. And they’re not caring. They’re not worrying about anything. They’re just dancing and leaping. And so that’s good.
But I said there’s a gondola too, and I want that gondola. And I remember somebody in the group said, “I wish I had that.” And I could tell she’s just like, “Poor dear.” You know? But these things do sound a little simplistic. But I know the Lord gave me that. And I know that I’ve done a lot of craggy, rocky climbing. But I am seeking for the lifting.
Prayer leader Kaye…
We are in the kingdom of heaven. He said, “The kingdom has come to you.” Didn’t He say that? The kingdom of God has come to you. We are in the kingdom. Okay, now what does that look like? It’s pretty good. It’s gondolas. It’s the presence of God giving life to everything. We are in the kingdom today. Today! We are in the kingdom.
We are to tend our gardens…
I’ve been studying Genesis and it starts right off with giving man the garden. And saying, “Take care of it. Use your authority.” Okay, so I have a garden out back, and do I trample through it? Do I look at those flowers and say, “What stupid flowers those are”? No! I tenderly care for that garden. I pull the weeds out. But I’m not cursing it. I tenderly care for the garden.
We’re in the kingdom. We have the Son of God raining on us and coming up and surrounding us and His peace and love. Like, what more do you want? We’re in the kingdom!
The Lord wants us to extend our gardens into the neighborhoods…
Now, let’s let it come forth from us and surround us, surround our neighborhoods. Adam was told to tend the garden and multiply. I think God wanted that garden to grow out, to go further than where it was, to bring the garden out more onto the planet earth.
And He wants the kingdom in us to come out and go into our neighborhoods and go into our area. When you drive through your neighborhood, it’s your area to bring the kingdom to. I live in Brooklyn Park. So I walked through it last night with my husband, and we were taking authority of evil. But I don’t have to be angry when I take authority. I can walk in the power of love when I take authority. And I can love those homes. And I can love those streets. And I can love all the people in Brooklyn Park and let that power of God flow through me and move out the evil. By the power of love. Love is the greatest. We’re in the kingdom. It’s time to be happy.
Prayer leader DJ…
And when you say the kingdom, what did Jesus say? The kingdom of God is within you. Within us. He said it’s not over there, over here. It’s not eating or drinking. But the kingdom of God. What is that? Love. What is the kingdom of God? Love, joy, peace in the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Lord.
What a day! All these guys are saying it. Some say outside, the weather is hot. But the Lord says, “My weather is different.” The climate. The Lord reigns and the son shines—S-O-N. The Lord reigns, and His son shall shine this morning, even with this excessive heat warning.
Prayer leader Cindy…
1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
And so we can be happy even if things look like they’re not going the way they should be, because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
And faith works by love.
