The Bible says to do not be anxious about anything but in all things with prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make your requests be made known unto the Lord. And now will come the peace, which passes all understanding shall guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We’re talking about the soul, which is your thoughts…
We’re talking about taking the thoughts, the soul. He wants our soul to prosper. It’s the mind. No wonder Jesus said, “Come unto Me, those that are weary, tired, bored. Nothing going on. Come unto Me. Those that are not satisfied, but come unto Me. Learn from Me. Sit by Me. Learn from Me. I’m meek and gentle.” You’ll find, what? Rest up here in our souls. Hallelujah.
We come to Jesus for rest…
We all are here watching this morning. We come to you, Jesus, because we want rest to our soul. Anxiety has to go in the name of Jesus. Peace be still. He said, I am God. Do not panic. It’s not over yet. Peace be still! And know I’m God.
Put on the full armor of God…
He said to put on the armor of God, the helmet of salvation to cover the head with all the warfare going on. But the devil said this! “You don’t have enough money. Oh, you’re going to be sick. Oh, this is going to happen. That is going to happen.” But God said, “No.” Train your soul to think. As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is.
Forget not all His benefits…
We bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me. Bless His holy name. Again, He said, bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all His benefits. It’s the soul we are concerned with… worries. He said, “Forget not.” Bless the Lord on my soul. Don’t forget His benefits. Let’s not forget His benefits today.
Bless the Lord oh my soul and bless His holy name. We have to bless the Lord and worship His holy name. Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all His benefits. Who forgives all our sins, your sins, my sins, and all inequity. He heals us from all our diseases. Who redeems our life from destruction. Who crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies. He satisfies our mouth with good things that our youth is renewed as the eagles.
Anxieties will be broken off…
We are be going to worship this morning in words and songs. And all depression, all anxieties built up from the last week or the last month or the last year are going to be broken off because of the anointing of the Holy Spirit on the music.
Our soul must prosper…
In order for us to prosper in the body or financially or other things, our soul has to prosper. He say, “Above all…” What did He say? “Above all.” Above all, I pray you prosper and be in good health even as your soul prosper.
Anxiety. Anxiousness. Fear. Concern. Worry about this. And worry about that. He said, “Beloved, I want My children to have good night’s sleep and rest, peace and rest.” He will do two things. I will lie down first, then I will sleep and peace and rest.
Man in India couldn’t sleep for worry…
I heard this. This guy called. India time is different than here. It’s morning and night there. So this guy cannot sleep in the nighttime. He worries… all night. He said, “I just cannot take this.” He called somebody in India. He said he hired somebody. “Can you take my worries between 6 pm to 6 am?” And they say yes. So guess what? He gave all his worry to them. And he slept between 6 pm to 6 am because somebody else is worrying for him.
We are to cast our cares upon Him…
He said to cast your care upon Him because He cares for us. So he cast all his care on that person who is worried for him now. So he’s free from worry. Can you believe this? It can happen. But that’s why He said to pray for one another. Actually, he was asking, “pray for me that this worry will go away.”
The Lord is our shepherd. We shall not lack. And when the worry and anxiety comes, we say, “The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not lack. I shall not want.” He wants us to lay us down on green pasture. He restores your soul.
He restores our soul…
We are talking about the soul today! It’s right up here in our thinking. He restores our soul. He guides us into the paths of His righteousness for His namesake. Even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we fear no evil because He’s with us, in us, for us. He anointed right here, the head, with oil. He knows the head needs to be anointed. He anointed our heads with oil, that our cup overflow with good thoughts. He said think about those things which are lovely, pure, good report, good health, wealth.
We are to put our trust in the Lord…
So what should I do about the worry? fear? money? Oh, put your trust in the Lord. He said to commit all your ways to the Lord. And what will He do? He will direct your path and my path. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him. And guess what will happen? He will direct your path. He will give us peace. The peace that passes all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Anxiety will build…
Anxiety. Anxiety. Anxiety was building this morning. I was about to leave my house to come to prayer when I see my truck had a tab expired. June. It’s July in August and now I cannot drive the truck. So anxiety. I start getting late. So picked up my car and drove up. Now the time’s getting shorter. The Spirit of God said to me earlier, “If you want to control the time, you got to get up early. Otherwise time will start controlling you. And that brings anxiety.”
He said to put on the full armor of God. The days are evil. Put on the full armor of God. Sing like never before. We have to sing like never before. Like never before, we have to read the Word. Like never before, we have to pray. Like never before, we have to attend church. Because the days are evil, so put on the whole armor of God. The helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith, sword of the spirit. And be ready for a war against anxiety.
Bless the Lord and all His works in the whole Psalm 103. Bless the Lord oh my soul.
The Lord wants you to have a good night’s rest…
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty to the pulling down the stronghold of the enemy. Vain imagination who is mighty through God, pulling down the wrong defeated failure sick thoughts, which does not let people sleep. But the Lord says, “I want you to have good night’s sleep.” So all we’re watching. You are here this morning, you are going to sleep tonight. Sleep! Rest!
Give your worries to Him…
“But I have this worry.” Don’t give it to me. I don’t want it. Give it to Jesus. I don’t want it.
And pray in the spirit with all kinds of prayer for all the saints. He said, you don’t know who’s going through what. He said to pray like this. “For this reason, I kneel before the Father.”
