Jerre shared…

Do you remember when our youth pastor went on a fast of not speaking? I asked him afterward, “What fruit came out of doing that? Did you get a revelation?” He said, “We’ve been using the name of Jesus wrongly, sort of flippantly.” He got a revelation of the name of Jesus and the reverence we are to have for it. He understood that when we speak that name, even utter that name, we are to understand the power in speaking it and to give it proper reverence. So, Lord, forgive us if we’ve used His name lightly. We purpose to whenever we speak that name, we speak it the way it was intended to be spoken—with honor and majesty and power and glory, with a deep abiding appreciation for the name of Jesus.

Brother Ray asked me to read this out of Herald of His Coming. You can get this either by hard copy or online. I liked this article about prayer entitled “Pull The Ladder Up” by Charles H. Spurgeon.

A pious lad who had no place at home to pray, went to the stable and climbed up into the hayloft. But very soon someone came up the ladder and interrupted him. The next time he took care to pull the ladder up after him – a very useful hint for us. It would be well, indeed, if we could so completely pull the ladder up that neither the devil nor the world could invade our sacred privacy. “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly” (Matt. 6:6). Select, then, the fittest time and place that your prayers are not hindered.

I have a different interpretation of that right now. The secret place, we’ve all got one and it’s not up here [head], it’s down here [heart]. Last week, we used Romans 8:14, “for all those who are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.” So this morning I looked up something in Brother Hagin’s book, How to Be Led by the Spirit. I want to be led to the secret place all the time. I got a little “revvie” on that. In 1st Thess. 5:23 says, “May the God of peace himself sanctify you through and through separate you from profane things, make you pure, holy, consecrated to God and may your spirit and your soul and body be preserved, sound and complete and found blameless at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Brother Hagin talked about something concerning spirit, soul, and body. He said this passage in 1st Thessalonians that…

“Paul begins with the inside, the innermost part of man, the heart of his being, which is his spirit, and comes to the outside. Yet most people misquote this verse. They say, “body, soul, and spirit.” Why do they put the body first? Because they are more body-conscious than spirit-conscious. Natural things mean more to them than spiritual things. So they put physical things first. Sometimes we are more mental-conscious because we live more in the mental realm. But man is a spirit being. We need to be spirit-conscious. Spiritual things will become more real to us the more spirit-conscious we become. If we are going to be led by the Spirit of God, we must become more spirit-conscious, or we’ll miss out on the whole thing. God’s Spirit leads us through our spirits. Put spirit first. Become more spirit-conscious, more conscious of the inward man. Realize that you are a spirit being and that you become a new creation re-created by God in Christ Jesus. It will help you grow—spiritually. Many years ago I began to think like this and at first I would say it to myself out loud: I’m a spirit being. I have a soul. And I live in a body. Saying that helped me become more spirit-conscious. It helped my faith, because faith is of the spirit, or the heart.”

Demonstrations
That’ll move it more in the right way
Not being satisfied with the status quo
Numbers, different kind of numbers
Increase, increase, increase in the numbers
Bend the Church
The spirit of faith and prayer
Not leaning so much on that but moving over into and leaning and trusting totally in You
Let it go… let go of it!
There’s got to be a turnaround in that
There’s been some cooling off but there must be some steps toward the fire, into the fire
That’s the desire of the Spirit
In other words, stoking the coals, stirring things up
There’s got to be a show, there must be a revealing, an uncovering
See it, expect more of it, and move further into it
Open, open, open… bigger, wider… we press for it and call for it and expect to see it
We apply some pressure there
To the specific and key places and at the right time
More operations of the Holy Ghost
Something that would never move, we declare “movement, motion, opening”
Watching that swing open in Jesus’ name
We’re watching the gate swing open slowly, BUT IT IS MOVING
In some ways, it’s the gates of the cities opening wide
We watch over them as we go forth
We pray every step will be taken now, every word that must be spoke, it would be spoken and heard
We’re declaring utterance but also declaring open ears to hear
Open the ears to hear; they have to hear and know
Taking our seat in heavenly places as we pray
From that place, Father
So from that place, the demands will go and they will obey and they will know that God Himself has spoken

Some things haven’t worked like we thought they would. But it’s not over and it’s not finished for He has finished it but it hasn’t been manifested totally yet until this time. So it’ll be better and greater than it would have, could have been if it would have come then, it’ll come now. But it’ll be a greater breaking through! So we say to the numbers, “Multiply! In Jesus’ name.” Be manifested now, in Jesus’ name. That is supernatural increase!
