The following prophecy was given by Brother Kenneth E. Hagin in 1980:

The End of the Age

The end of the age is coming upon this generation. The powers of darkness, the forces of evil are rampant as never before and they will be increased in intensity and velocity. And even many Christians will see and look upon these things and say, “Oh, there is no use,” throw up their hands in futility and say “Well, I guess it’s all over. We’ll just have to hold on and pray for Jesus to come shortly because the Devil is about to take over everything.”

But thus saith the Lord, “In this day, I am searching the body of Christ to enlist soldiers. I’ll raise up a new band. I’ll raise up a new army who will know how to pray against the powers of darkness. And the light will dispel the darkness and the truth will set men free and prayer will break the bonds that bind men’s minds and spirits and bodies.”

Halleluiah, glory to God.

Yea, there are those who will learn to take their place hurriedly. It must be hurriedly; it must be. Quickly it must be that they learn. That they enter in quickly to stand against the forces of darkness and evil that will try and come against the land, against the church, against the home, that would try and disrupt and destroy and that is good and all that God has endorsed.

But the hand of the Lord is upon those who will listen and at the urge of God in the spirit to those who are attentive, they will pray. The Spirit of God will help you to pray. Do not try to do it yourself.

Though there must be labor on your part, yet at the same time rest in Him. Let the Spirit flow through you like a river. Like a mighty wave, let it flow through you. Give vent to those innermost groanings. Let them escape your lips. Take the time to get alone and wait. Sometimes not even saying anything, but on the inside of you there is an agonizing. There is a flowing out of your spirit by the Holy Spirit to the Great Spirit, the Father of spirits. And thou shalt be sustained. Thou shalt be kept and thy family and thy home will be sure and stand fast, and thy children shall grow up strong and stalwart in the Lord, and they shall have no fear.

The following excerpt is taken from Vessels of Fire & Glory by Mario Murillo:

E.M. Bounds said, “What the Church needs today is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use – men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men – men of prayer.”

The following excerpt is taken from E.M. Bounds on Prayer by E.M. Bounds:

Prayer: The Prophet’s Link to God

Elijah learned the lesson of prayer, and he graduated from that divine school before Scripture mentions him. Somewhere in the secret places, on a mountain or a plain, he had been alone with God as an intercessor against the debasing idolatry of Ahab. His prayers prevailed mightily with God. He was certain that his prayers were answered.

And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him. And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? Art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son? And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him down upon his own bed. And he cried unto the Lord, and said, O Lord my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the window with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son? And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the Lord, and said, O Lord my God, I pray thee, let this child’s soul come into him again. And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and revived. And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house,  and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth. And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord is thy mouth is truth.
(1Kings 17:17-24 AMP)

Elijah’s prayer entered a region where prayer had never gone before. The awful, mysterious, and powerful regions of the dead were invaded by the presence and demands of prayer. God’s answers to Elijah’s praying kept the woman from starving and brought her son back from death. Surely no sorrow is like the bitterness of the loss of an only son.

Elijah faced these conditions full of confidence. There was no hesitancy in his actions, and there was no pause in his faith. He took the dead son to his own room, and alone with God he prayed. In that room, God met him. The encounter was too intense and too scared for a third party to share.

The prayer was made to God, and the issue was with God. God took the child, and only God rules the realms of death. In His hands are the issues of life and death. Elijah believed that God took the child’s spirit, and that God could also restore that spirit.

God answered Elijah’s prayer. The answer was proof of Elijah’s mission and the truth of God’s Word. The dead child brought to life was a sure conviction of this truth: “Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth” (v. 24). Answers to prayer are evidences of God and the truth of His Word.

Elijah was dealing directly with God, for true prayer always deals directly with God. Elijah’s prayer was to determine the existence of the true God. The answer, direct from God, settled the question. The answer is also the proof of Elijah’s divine mission and the evidence that God deals with men. If we had more of Elijah’s praying, marvels would be greater than those things we call marvels today. God would not seem so strange, so far away, and so feeble in action. Everything is tame and feeble to us because our praying is so tame and feeble.

Thank You for Your presence, fall afresh on us

Scripture Focus…

The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]. (13) Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. (14) [Growing in grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure [of trust, love, and contentment]. (15) [They are living memorials] to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
(Psalms 92:12-15 AMPC)

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. (2) I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! (3) For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. (4) [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.
(Psalms 91:1-4 AMPC)
