Prayer Summary for May 10

Pastor Ray shared…

How many times do you see in a restaurant, people come in and sit down at the table and BOOM, they are all on their phones looking at whatever. And there is no connection, and I think that can be true with the presence of God too if we do not take the opportunity to either get away, get with some other people in a group, do something to actually move out of all of the things that are happening, TV, news, phones, all that kind of thing and just purpose in our hearts to be with Him. And then we will be changed. We are always changed.

Scripture focus…

And Moses said to the Lord, If Your Presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here! Exodus 33:7 (AMPC)

In the late eighties in our old sanctuary, I would put some kind of sign in the front. It could be “Jesus is Lord” or whatever but we would have something in the front of the sanctuary and we would change it out periodically. Pastor Lynne called me and asked me to put this scripture from Exodus 33:15 up there. So I read it and said to myself, you got to be kidding. That’s like a paragraph. But I said “okay, sure.”

For quite a while we had that up there. It was interesting to see people would come in and go “what?” They would stand there and read “Exodus… Moses said to the Lord if Your presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here”. (ha, ha, ha.) You know what he was talking about but I just want to read a little bit of this beginning in verse seven:

(7) Now Moses used to take [his own] tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting [of God with His own people]. And everyone who sought the Lord went out to [that temporary] tent of meeting which was outside the camp.

(8) When Moses went out to the tent of meeting, all the people rose and stood, every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses until he had gone into the tent.

(9) When Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the door of the tent, and the Lord would talk with Moses.

(10) And all the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the tent door, and all the people rose up and worshiped, every man at his tent door.

(11) And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Moses returned to the camp, but his minister Joshua son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the [temporary prayer] tent.

(12) Moses said to the Lord, See, You say to me, Bring up this people, but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You said, I know you by name and you have also found favor in My sight.

(13) Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You [progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, perceiving and recognizing and understanding more strongly and clearly] and that I may find favor in Your sight. And [Lord, do] consider that this nation is Your people.

(14) And the Lord said, My Presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.

(15) And Moses said to the Lord, If Your Presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here! Exodus 33:7-15 (AMPC)

I like the picture of a separate place, not just in the camp, but a separate place where he went but especially where the people could go where the presence of God was. I know that prayer is not just about us saying things to God. It’s entering God’s presence. So it’s not just that we are speaking but like Moses did, he entered into the tent and God spoke to him there. I think that the anointing of God is powerful each and every time we come before Him if we can get in His presence. I had this stuck in my Bible, “His presence is the only thing that sets His people apart from everyone else in the world.”

Maybe it would be a good experiment to be aware even more when you are out wherever you are… we do this if we go out to eat. We observe people that are around us. You can tell the people that are different than the people just in the world. And I believe the presence of God on us is absolutely recognizable and people will sense it. They may not know what it is but they will sense something different about us because of Him. Because of Him, we walk in love. Because of Him, we speak in love, we act differently. We should.

Yesterday I talked about a church that had no place for prayer but we have always, ever since we had a building, even before that at the Community College, there were other rooms other than the auditorium where we could pray together. And I felt because of that making a way for us to have a place to come corporately together to pray, that it has made an absolute… who could know the difference that it’s made in this ministry, that our Pastors started it that way, out of a prayer group and it’s always been priority in this ministry. Thank God for it.

There is always a place. We don’t need a building. We don’t need a room. We just need to yield. But it makes a difference in our lives when we can join together as a company of believers, go before the Lord, welcome His presence and in a way like Moses did, make sure we enter into as much as we know, as much as we can the presence of God, just keep yielding to more of Him. I know that’s what He wants. It’s His desire that we be filled and saturated with His presence and in His presence everything we need is there, everything.

Annie led us singing “In You Presence”

Some of the opportunities that we have right now, they may not always be the way they are now. It’s so important for us to put ourselves in places where His presence is manifesting. Things never really always just stay the same. I know God does. He is that same today, tomorrow, yesterday, His Word is the same, He is the same. He doesn’t change but around us in different times in our lives change. So for me, I don’t want to miss opportunities for the times that are available to spend with Him now in this season.

Prayed…

Father, thank You so much for Your goodness
You have given us so much, to enter into
Leading us into more and more of You, enabling us to do more and more for You
We have entered into a spirit of prayer
Another level of expectation!
Internal switches that turn on to Him in the place of prayer
For all that needs to be prayed in these days, we thank You for it
We receive a spirit of prayer
New assignments, calls, and authority to what we’ve been called to do
Unlimited access
Entering into a furtherance of it
It’s a place
It’s a stirring; a stirring up
Numbers, places, positions
Speaking over and lifting them up
Utterances galore—places of grace
A free flow of the Holy Ghost
He is with us always—new dimensions of authority in Him
Mobilization for more
There is liberty there
It’s a better position

Pastor David shared…

I heard Pastor Ray say we circle and then we take it. It’s like prayer goes around. Sometimes it softens up and sometimes we take it by violence with His ability not ours.

A word of the Lord came forth:

It’s loosing some things that were tied up in Jesus’ name. When you said that, I was hearing “change, change, change.” You know how we look and watch and listen and like Pastor Dave said we kind of circle and watch, and just be on the alert for the steps to take. I just heard the Spirit of God inside say “I’ve brought the change and the spirit of prayer has been loosed. So if it’s change that you have been asking and looking and calling for, enter in by faith and take that step through. By faith enter into My supernatural place of change. Do not in your minds try to see but in your spirit just receive it and take it by faith and begin to say within yourself ‘I am changed!’”

So if things have begun to look a little bleak, just declare by the power of God “These things have changed!” For I am the God of change. When I said light be, light was. All the sheep hear My voice and My voice is continually saying “Come unto Me.”

Annie led us in singing…

Because I have saved that place for you when I made you My Bride
I have saved that place for you in My heart
Come to Me, come to Me My beloved one
I find no fault in you because of the blood of My Son
Come to Me, I paid such a price for you to be by My side
I have called you My friend, I have called You My sons and My daughters
And I won’t be complete until I have brought you to My Father
All the sons and all the daughters
There is joy, there is joy in My presence
Joy unspeakable and full of glory
As you are the best part of My story
In my heart you are the best part of My story
Love you, Love you, love you, because I am love
It’s who I am, it’s all I am
Ooohhh oohhhhhh All for you, for you…
I died for you
So come…

Continued praying…

Every time we spend time in Your presence we are changed
One degree of glory to another, always moving up!
We look back and are thankful but we only move forward
In Your perfect presence, we thank You and give You all the glory
Thank You for this day, and for a word from heaven in season to all those we encounter in Jesus’ name. Amen
