So in verse 10, we see there is heartfelt joy when we seek the Lord and it’s something that is increased when believers get together in the house of the lord—joy. And what does joy do for us? It brings strength to keep on going doing what He has called us to do. In verse 11, we see we are to seek the Lord and His strength. We receive strength as we come together in the house of God. And then it says to yearn for and seek His face to be in His presence continually. I like that because in His presence, meeting together in the House of God, it should be and it is a continual increase in us to help us to do what He is calling us to do. Each one of us is called to a specific work. So each one of us in order to fulfill the call… It’s right and it’s God’s will and His purpose that we join ourselves together.

We can take this as an example here in the chapel. We have the opportunity to come before the Lord, lift up our voices in one accord, worship Him, honor Him, magnify Him, praise Him, pray by the Spirit, and pray out His will and His purpose here every week day. It’s such an opportunity. We have opportunity in His presence for one hour in the morning to set off our day in the right way. Isn’t that right? I know there are things that we lift up individually before the Lord but corporately… I remember Mark Hankins said there are things we cannot do individually that we can do corporately, and he was taking about prayer. Hallelujah.
