Prayer Summary for Friday, May 27, 2016

Today’s Morning Prayer session was spent in worship…

Pastor Ray shared…

As Jerre started taking us heavenward, I saw family, children, babies. I began to visualize people that I know that went home to heaven and how the Bible talks about them looking over the balcony as a cloud of witnesses. Brother Hagin used to talk about that and say they’re not really seeing all of the different things in the world that’s going on, but they do see spiritual increase in our lives and they do cheer us on. I love that. Last weekend, I was in my car driving so I turned on the radio to a country station. A pastor had an hour-long program and his focus was heaven. He talked a little bit about the Savior, His love, heaven, and then he’d play an old classic country song about heaven. I got so supernaturally lifted just thinking about it and listening to those words. But I kept hearing in my spirit “heaven on earth.” Heaven is true but then it’s also true that we can live heaven here on this earth before we exit. Right?

Because of Memorial Day this weekend with a lot of travel and things going on, I wanted to pray Psalm 91 over us, over the Church and the body of Christ this morning. I wanted to remind you that we’re protected. This is from the NIV.

Psalm 91

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

Four other scriptures from Psalm 92. This is from the Passion Translation.

“It’s so enjoyable to come before You with uncontainable praises spilling from our hearts. How we love to sing your praises over and over to You. To the matchless God, high and exalted over all. At each and every sunrise, we will be thanking You. For Your kindness and for Your love. As the sun sets and all through the night, we will keep proclaiming “You are so faithful.” Melodies of praise will fill the air as every musical instrument joined with every heart overflows with worship. No wonder I’m so glad. I can’t keep it in! Lord, I’m shouting with glee over all that You’ve done for me.
