Prayer Summary for Friday, August 25, 2017

Pastor Ray shared…

Last night at church was a classic Kenneth Copeland sermon on “words.” You saw him at the beginning singing. David Ellis travels with him and plays piano for him. Sandy and I came out into the atrium. I just happened to park in the back because there was no room in the front. Pastor Dwayne asked me “Are you parked in back?” Yes. “Could you take David Ellis over to the hotel?” Sure. He gets in and we said, “Thank you for playing. I love how you play with him.” I said, “I would like to hear you sing.” He goes, “Right, like I’m going to go, “Uh, brother Copeland, I’ve got a song.” He said, “Actually, if I said that, he would say, “sing it.” He said he is so gracious. He said “as soon as the service started I knew that the anointing was on him and it was going to be a great service.” He knew it at the get-go. David used to pastor a church in Montgomery, Alabama with Pastor Lynne’s twin sister Lucy and her husband, Keeter, years ago. He’s been a pastor in California. He ministered at Reggie’s church for a couple years. He gets around. But now he lives in California but he ministers with Kenneth wherever he goes and at Eagle Mountain, a lot of times too.

Kenneth’s message on words, when we got home, Sandy turned on the TV and Gloria was on with Pastor George. They were talking about words. Coincidental, huh? She said years ago when their children were young, they were driving somewhere and they had a car that had problems. They confessed over it “This car is falling to pieces.” They kept saying that. She said, “We didn’t know any better then. We didn’t know the importance of our words.” Guess what? They were T-boned at an intersection and that car was blasted into pieces. But they were protected. The children were protected. She was talking about the importance of our words. One way or the other, words work both ways. Negative or positive. She said, “Little did we know that we were confessing over our car that it’s falling to pieces.” BAM! And it was knocked to pieces.

He went over Mark 11 and other things about speaking, but at some point, on the left side of my Bible, I put in here “You’ll never realize beyond your words.” You’re not going to go further than what you say. He addressed that last night by saying, “It’s not what so and so says. It’s what you say.” I found this: “Prayer is not always about asking. Prayer includes declaring. There are many things God has told us to do simply through declaration yet we a lot of times we persist in asking Him to do them. And Paul says it is unnecessary for us to ascend into heaven to bring Christ into a situation. He says the word is in our mouths. So that if we speak it, we’ll find ourselves moving the mountain. Jesus told us to speak to the mountain. This is not praying to God so He will move the mountain. It’s speaking to the mountain. Many times, we’re told to speak to inanimate things and anticipate there will be a change. The key factor is in the fact that we believe that what we say will come to pass.” That’s the key. I printed this off the Message translation of Mark 11.

“Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it’s not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins.” (vv. 22–25)

The Amplified says, “And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. 23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. 24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. 25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop.”

I had this happen when we first started coming to Living Word. There was someone, he wasn’t on staff, but he served a lot in music and whatever. I don’t know, there were some things he would do and I allowed myself to get over into a place of offense. Every time I’d see him, I’d be bugged because of what… I just couldn’t get over that feeling. It seemed like, I don’t know how many times Pastor Mac would address forgiving others and letting it go. I couldn’t let it go. For the longest time, I carried that and it took the power of the Holy Spirit to get over it and let it go. When we do that, it’s worse for us than it is for them. Maybe they didn’t even know they offended us. We can’t hang onto these things. That why it says to forgive and let it go. Sometimes maybe words that are spoken and sometimes … “They didn’t even say anything to me!” We keep moving. I love that we have this whole week of faith-filled word.

I like the part that he talked about that we are the only created beings who can actually speak words. Even the angels don’t speak of themselves. They speak only what they hear the Father say. But we have free will to speak the words we choose to speak. About 10 or 12 years ago, there was a person for some reason I didn’t like them. They didn’t do anything to me. I didn’t do anything to them, but every time I saw him, it would be like,… I don’t want to be around them. They bugged me… for no reason at all! I said, “Lord, you have to help me with this.” He said, “You pray for that person every day.” He was getting my words lined up with His words so my will lined up with His will. Every day I would pray for this person. About ten years later, he moved. By the time he left, I cried. It was like he was a brother. My heart changed so much. And it was over nothing. Something just bugged me about this person when I was around him. So the Lord lined me up with Him by having me to pray for him every day, allowing His words to come through me and my will lining up with His will.

Prayed over nation…

Father, in the name of Jesus and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff, and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them, and let them not depart from Your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by Your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies, and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame. We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our congress, our supreme court, our military leaders, and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority You have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival, and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders, and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual, and devilish to depart and vanish until Your mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy, and prosperity in Jesus’ name, Amen.

I remember prophecies over the years that brother Hagin would declare, “We’re right on the edge, right on the verge, right at the door posts to the glory of God.”

I’ve been singing “Something good is about to happen” for two days. I agree with that. And after the message last night, I said, “That’s right. I’m going to keep singing that cuz I believe something good is about to happen.” Something good in our country cuz like you said, He’s moving people around. Sometimes it looks like, “Oh no, there’s an upheaval.” No, God’s moving things around. I was talking to someone yesterday and they said, “I don’t know that I’m really led by the Spirit.” I said the Word says that if you’re His then He leads you. That’s His job. So most of the time when we don’t even realize we’re being led by the Spirit, we’re being led by the Spirit because that’s who He is. Sometimes we happen to recognize it. We just move along and do what we’re supposed to do and believe He’s doing good things.

Prayed…

Father, we take our seat in heavenly places with You
We look from Your perspective, Your Word which says we say and it shall come to pass
We declare and it shall be moved
Thank You for Your precious holy Word for what You have planned for Your Church in these days
Something good is about to happen
We get onto the good side in Jesus’ name
We turn our hearts and minds to that which is good and we meditate and we consume those thoughts that are good and right
We speak those thoughts over the nation, our leaders, the body of Christ, our family members
Father, You help Your people to control their tongues that the Word would compel them to speak only words that bless
And to remove those things that would curse
It’s time to turn that speaking into that which is good
Turn it away from evil… for that fountain should be a fountain of life
Life goes forth from us into the world
We’re not led by the flesh but by the Spirit
In the name of Jesus, we declare good things are happening today
Good things have been set out for the President today
He’s making good decisions today … the senators are making good decisions … they’re receiving good counsel
They’re taking hold of that good counsel in the name of Jesus
Our pastors, all the ministers of the Gospel, missionaries, preachers, traveling ministers, they’re receiving good things today in the name of Jesus
We thank You that You are for us and not against us
You have created and set a plan for each one of us, Lord, and You have enabled us to complete it.
You have anointed us to walk every step that You’ve assigned for us
Every member of the body is walking in victory today and every day
The time is short, Father, and we thank You that You’re making the most of it
You’re moving everything around where it needs to be… all the pieces into the right places
Every person being moved into position where they can function fully
Light comes to them today… direction comes to them today
We declare over things that need to change… we say today, “Be changed, now and be rearranged.”
Begin to turn and change… be rearranged in Jesus’ name
Things that need to be stopped, we say, “Stop in Jesus’ name and line up with the will of God”
Moving into new territories… new arenas… new responsibilities…
Old patterns that have been established that are not right, Father
We command those patterns to stop… we command them to change in Jesus name… be changed now!
To the right way… come into alignment… line up those ways
Patterns of thinking, in the name of Jesus, you change in Jesus’ name
Come into alignment with the Word of God
Patterns of destruction, we command you to change in Jesus’ name
You stop! In the name of Jesus…
Patterns of corruption, we command you to stop… we call you into a pattern of grace and peace and prosperity
Open it, open it … yes, Father, right at the table… we partake of that table… that table that’s been set before us, Father, in the presence of our enemies… we partake and we sit at that table and partake of Your goodness and faithfulness
Though the darkness is all about, Father, we thank You that we rest at the table
We rely on Your power and glory to sustain
That light dispels the darkness and pushes it back… driving back the enemy
That light increases… we lock shields today and stand against the enemy trying to tear down the body
We stand together arm in arm calling for unity and peace in the body of Christ and throughout the nation
One blood… one blood in the name of Jesus… we are one blood
We come against division, divorce in the body… all division, we stand against you and drive you out
We will not allow division into the body
One heart, one mind, one blood… one blood, one blood in the name
Your blood cleanses… Your blood heals… Your blood mends… that resurrection power… thank You, Jesus, for the blood
A blood washed church… blood washed nation…
We’re not going down… we’re going up
The anointing of God destroys every yoke of bondage
Remove every burden in the name

Brother Copeland said this. “The company you keep has such an influence on your spiritual life. Fellowshipping with godly people will help speed you up into victory while fellowshipping with those who are ungodly will drag you down to defeat. That’s why the Bible has some things to say about your friends. That’s why it tells you to separate yourself from the world. Because evil companions will corrupt you. I’m not talking about ministry. Jesus, Himself, ministered to sinners. You have to mix with them to preach to them and pray for them. What I’m talking about here are the people you choose for friends. If you want to walk in the things of the Lord, don’t choose friends who walk in the things of the devil. People who talk and act ungodly who don’t give God any place in their lives, will put you down. As you rub shoulders with them, you’ll expose yourself to temptation. You’ll get so familiar with sin, it will start to appear less repulsive to you. Sooner or later, you’ll fall into it. So choose friends wisely. Fellowshipping with those who call on the name of the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22. Expose yourself to their love and their peace and let their faith rub off on you.”

My mother-in-law used to say, “If you hang around dogs, you’ll start barking.” Whatever you give your time and attention to is who you will be. Whatever you fellowship with is what will come out.
