Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Happy Wednesday. I’m glad to see you all here and have answered the call to pray because there is a summoning of sorts in the spirit to pray. And we’ve come to the kingdom of God for such a time as this.

Change is on the horizon…

What an opportunity we have this morning. What a blessed privilege it is to work together with the Holy Spirit. And I just want to say from a prophetic voice this morning, that “change is on its way.” Change is on the horizon. In particular, with those prayers and those strong stands of faith that you’ve taken maybe in your personal world, life, business, ministry, whatever the case is and you have wondered, “Is that going to change?” I would suggest to you that the Spirit of God would say, “Change is on the horizon. Change is transpiring. Change is on its way today.”

Declaration…

And I would declare over you that for some, before the sun goes down, change will show up in your driveway. Change will show up in your family, in your bank accounts, in your body.

God is the original “waymaker”…

The last time I checked, the Bible is very clear that we are called to be a people of faith, to not make our own way, but to find and align with God’s high way, His way that He’s established and prepared. Before we showed up on planet earth, He had a way. He is the original “waymaker.” And He has made a way. Don’t let your prayers diminish. Don’t let your voice flag in volume and intensity. No! Instead, lean in with worship and proclamation of what you know to be true based on His Word and what He’s spoken to you in your heart. It will surely come to pass. And He will have His way. And the Word is very clear that He watches over what He has said to you. And He will… and you can take it to the bank… follow through on just that. That which He’s spoken to you.

So stand strong…

Firmly, resolutely, be immovable, be cemented on the fact that your God is “the” God and He will do exactly what He proclaimed. For change is on the horizon. Change is on its way. Let your heart be stirred. Don’t struggle in your intellect and in trying to find your own way, but let your heart take encouragement from the fact that He ever lives to fulfill His promise. He ever lives to be with us and to follow through on what He said He would do. Amen?

So grow strong in faith, not in fear. But in faith. Let not your heart be troubled, for this is the day that was spoken of that we’re to shine and rise. And, yes, even thrive in the fullness of His plan, in the fullness of His glory, in the dream He is once upon a time dropped in your heart. There’s still time. There’s still daylight that we can work and believe and go with God. So let that be the case today and every day until we meet Him face to face. In Jesus’ name.

He declares “I have made a way…”

Isaiah 43:16 says, “Thus says the Lord who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters.” So He is the way maker. He’s declaring, “I have made a way. I will make a way.” And if you drop down a few verses to Isaiah 43:26, it says this. “Put me in remembrance. Let us contend.” Contend means to fight, to struggle maybe. “Let us contend together. State your case.” What’s your case? What do you want? Jesus said you would have what you say. So what have you been saying?

“Well, Ken, I’ve been having what I’ve always had.”

Well, maybe that’s because you’re saying what you’ve always said. Maybe it’s time to step out, let your flesh be uncomfortable, let your skin crawl a little bit when you say something like, “I’m bold as a lion. I’m strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” Maybe you need to say some things that just flat out makes you uncomfortable when it concerns the plan of God. That “as far as me and my household, we shall serve the Lord all the days of our lives.” Amen? That “I’m blessed coming in and going out,” that “I’m every bit whole from head to toe in Jesus’ name,” that “I will preach the Gospel to the nations,” that “I will pray until I see His appearing.”

Jesus is saying to you to step out of the boat…

Whatever it is for you that makes you uncomfortable, Jesus is saying “step out of your boat of comfort and convenience. And learn to walk on the waters of prayer and intercession and intimacy with the Father.” There’s still more… much, much more, in fact than when you first realize that God had something for you. There’s much more than that. There’s more that He has for you. There’s more that He has for me. There’s more that He wants to do through the church in this hour. But will we believe? I say, yes. So put me in remembrance. Let us contend together. State your case that you may be acquitted.

Testimony of childhood friend…

I was reflecting last night and was reminded of a phone call I got about three or four years ago from a friend of mine, honestly, one of my first childhood friends. We used to ride bikes together along the gravel road that we lived on when I was six, seven years old. I went to school with him. And honestly, I haven’t talked to him in 30 years. And out of the blue, I get a call. I’m at work, middle of the day, he calls and says, “Hey, Kenny. I want to tell you something.” He proceeded to tell me that he found faith in Jesus just the other day. And I thought it was interesting that he called me. I was like, “Why’d you call me? I haven’t talked to you in 30 years.”

Well, I do recall back some 35 years ago, I brought him and a group of my high school friends to Living Word, probably in the early nineties. And he knew I was a Christian. He proceeded to tell me that he was very successful in the printing business and worked for a large company here in Brooklyn Park. And then he got let go shortly after Covid after years of working for this company. So he sold his house in Brooklyn Park and he and his family moved up north to their lake cabin where they were going to live and he was going to start his own business.

And at some point, within a few weeks, he had a seizure at his home where he passed out and began to convulse. And his wife was frantic and called the ambulance. He began to describe how he felt like he was between heaven and earth. He was not present physically. But he could observe what was going on. He was outside his body, and he could see that there was a battle going on for his life. And here’s a guy who’s just newly saved. He doesn’t have Christian language or anything. And so in the best way… I think he even swore at one point. But he began to describe what went on in the spirit realm. During the time he was in that seizure, there was a war going on for his soul. He saw explosions and fireworks and there was this epic struggle. Literally. That’s how he described it for his soul. The forces of darkness did not want to let him go. And what those forces of darkness knew is that while he was out having this seizure and kind of having an out-of-body experience and witnessing this spiritual struggle going on in the spirit dimension or the parallel universe that is all around us, his wife had called the paramedics. They were doing what they could do naturally. One of the paramedics was a woman who happened to be a Christian and she began to pray for him. He came back into his body and the seizure symptoms subsided and she led my friend in a salvation prayer to know Jesus.

He went into the small town where they have their cabin and began to go to church like the next week. And I just thought it was very fascinating how he, not even a Christian at the time, could know outside of his body what was going on in the spirit realm, the forces of darkness that did not want to let him go, did not want him to realize and have what had been already purchased and paid for through Jesus and His redemptive work.

We are in a spiritual war…

And so I share that story this morning to put you in remembrance of the fact that we are in a spiritual war. America, for that matter, is in a spiritual battle. And it may seem like we are losing that battle spiritually in other ways, but I sense to my heart as we worship this morning, there’s still time. Time is still on our side. Change is on the horizon. If we, as the church, as pray-ers, as believers will recognize this marked moment of opportunity to engage with the Father in kingdom work… even just in repentance. As I’ve often said, repentance alone is an act of spiritual warfare. Your spiritual habits of worship and study and prayer in your understanding and in your heavenly language, community being with other like-minded believers. These are armaments that God has called us to use effectively now. The Word of God on our lips, that alone is the sword of the Spirit.

The good news is that we win!

And so I’m not reminding you that there’s a spiritual struggle to discourage you. I’m just reminding you of the presentness of what we’re in as a nation, as the body of Christ, as maybe an individual. But the good news is we win! We’ve already won, right? He’s the one who’s able to always cause us to triumph. If we will choose to cooperate with Him and engage with Him and utilize what He’s put in our hands and push aside the distractions of the age and the pull of our flesh. There’s a battle right there, right? To take hold of spiritual positionings and spiritual things that God has placed in our hands and do what we just read there in Isaiah—contend with the Holy Spirit, the spirit of prayer.

He’s come alongside us this morning. In fact, He’s there coming alongside you every morning and every day to work with us and work through us, to inspire you with words, to prompt your heart with what to pray for and how to pray for it, to guide and to instruct, and to coach, and to mentor us into higher levels of skillfulness and effectiveness in obtaining what the Father has already purchased and paid for and put to the credit of yours and my account and what He intends and what He has envisioned for America, for Minnesota, for the church globally.

God is calling us…

He’s summoning us. Will you hear His call this morning? And every morning? Will you stir yourself up to take hold of Him? Refuse to let your heart sink or be discouraged because you have not seen with your eyes. If the Word said it, if the Spirit said it to your heart, then you will have it. Then you actually do have it. When you pray, believe that you receive and you shall have.

“Prayers and Decrees That Activate Angel Armies” by Tim Sheets.

Now, let me read something to you out of a book entitled “Prayers and Decrees That Activate Angel Armies” by Tim Sheets.

“One way that God answers the prayers of His people is through angels. In Daniel 9:21 and 10:12–13. The Angel Gabriel was sent with an answer to Daniel’s prayers. God assigns angels to bring prayers to pass in the lives of His heirs. [That’s us.] What an incredible benefit. I personally think that is why prayer is fought so much in our churches today. Prayer activates angels more than any other time.”

“What are you talking about, Ken? You mean there’s others that are joining with us this morning?”

Yeah. They’re angels here this morning. They’re angels with you as you go about your day, right? They’re there not to twiddle their thumbs or lean up against the closest lamppost. They’re there waiting to be activated and to follow through and help fulfill the plan of God as we, once again, collaborate with the Holy Spirit.

“Angels attend the prayer time because they are going to get assignments they can begin to work on. Daniel was fasting and praying for 21 days. In Daniel 9 and 10, he needed an answer from God. On the first day, God sent the answer through Gabriel, but we are told that the spirit Prince of Persia, a demon prince, began to withstand, or you could say fight, the answer in the heavens. God sends an answer. But somewhere in the astrological heavens, the spirit prince over Persia starts to fight Gabriel to stop the answer from getting through. The warfare was so intense, it lasted for 21 days. Daniel, with persistent faith, kept interceding. On the 21st day, God commissioned the angel, Michael, sometimes referred to as the Prince of Israel to go down and break up the demon resistance.”

So do you see that right there? You may have prayed and declared and believed that you received, but maybe you’re not seeing naturally. Maybe there’s some resistance there. Maybe there’s some impediments and some blockages that the enemy erected to try to stop so that he can wage a war of attrition on your mind and soul. In other words, wear you down. Try to get you to give up and wave the white flag and say, “Oh, I guess it’s not true.”

No, it’s true! One of the most important steps and habits of prayer a believer can practice is that habit of strengthening yourself. Strengthening and establishing yourself in His Word. He goes on to say…

“Michael went with his angels and prevailed against the prince of Persia’s forces, allowing the answer to get through to Daniel. The answer was available the first day, but spiritual warfare and intercession prayer took place for 21 days.

“In Acts 12:7–10, the apostle Peter was in prison because of his stand for Christ. But prayer was made by the saints without ceasing for his release. The church held a prayer meeting at John Mark’s house. Evidently, the prayer of intercession for Peter’s deliverance went well into the night. Amazingly, as they were praying for his release, an angel was sent to the jail. The angel released Peter from the shackles, opened the prison door, led him out into the city, opened the gates of the city for him and brought him to where the prayer meeting was taking place. For an angel came in answer to the church’s prayer. They cried out for Peter’s deliverance, and angels were loosed to bring it to pass. Heaven’s angel armies are released into the affairs of men as a result of crying out to God.”

Do you see that? Expect that this morning. One thing I feel like God has His hand on this morning in particular is a spiritual battle may be going on in a particular individual’s life, like my friend. Maybe that’s happening with one of your children. There is a spiritual battle being waged against a child, a grandchild, a spouse, a coworker, a neighbor, a parent, somebody in your household maybe. But it’s not going to prevail. No weapon formed against them, we declare, will prosper and every harassing and negative voice will be found to be in the wrong.

He continues…

“Our prayer rooms may not have many in them, only a remnant, but angels fill that room. They are attending to receive assignments. They are there to hear decrees. They can assist. They are attending to bring prayers up before God and minister answers. They are there to minister protection and deliverance. Prayer time releases more angel activity than any other time.”

Prayed…

Father, we thank you this morning for angels in this place today, that where there has been a struggle in a particular person’s life, we pray that angels would be released into that situation. Lord, we pray this morning for angels to be sent on assignment into the lives of those who find themselves in a spiritual battle where hell itself is raging to hold onto them and keep them from the knowledge of the truth.

Sister Jeannie…

A lot of you know that Jerry Savelle went to heaven on the 15th. It is poignant that the last message he preached was all about advancement. So think about this prophetically. “Occupy until you see Me again.” That is what God has for you. Do you remember when you were a kid and you were going to go over to someone’s house and your parent would say, “Leave that place better than the way you found it.” That’s what we’re here to do. We’re in the world, but we’re not of it. But we are leaving this place better than the way we found it.

So, Father, we thank you right now that we are going from glory to glory, from victory to victory. We are advancing.

Another thing Jerry said that was a “punch in the gut” and encouraging at the same time, was that part of the curse is staying where you’re at, never going any further. Do you realize that? See, we are not here to wait for Jesus to come and stay where we’re at. We’re here to advance! We’re here to see and declare breakthrough. We’re here to enforce His unrelenting goodness.
