Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Good morning. Welcome to morning prayer!

Isaiah 64:7…

Let me share with you a couple of reflections before we pray. I want to read a couple of passages of scripture to you. The first one’s found in Isaiah 64:7. It says “And there is no one who calls on your name, who stirs himself up to take hold of you. For you have hidden your face from us and have consumed us because of our iniquities.”

Many years ago, brother Kenneth Hagin pointed out that implies that if somebody would have stirred himself up and prayed and sought the Lord, change would have come and judgment would have stayed.

Ezekiel 22:30…

Similarly, in the book of Ezekiel 22:30 it says, “So I sought for a man or a woman among them who should make a wall and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land” [or your country, or your family, or your spouse or your children or grandchildren. You insert whatever the case might be] “stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land that I should not destroy it. But I found no one.”

I read those just to be reflective and maybe a reminder of just where we’re at on God’s timetable of events, which is somewhere near the end. We know that, right?

Ollie from the UK…

And I was thinking of those passages because I was thinking about this young man I heard about. I was watching some of his Instagram reels the other day. His name is Ollie. He’s from the UK and he travels throughout the UK or has been anyway, simply on the street. A young man, probably in his twenties preaching the Gospel and praying for people right on the street. But daily is persecuted, harassed by the police, hauled off, told to go because it’s not okay to preach the Gospel, I guess, in the UK anymore.

But he has persevered and feels a sense of urgency and need to do this. And he said that he eventually started praying and seeking God, almost like the Apostle Paul as to where he should go next, which led him to Amsterdam. Where he began to preach and share the Gospel there right on the streets.

A desire to make a difference…

And I was just really impacted by his ministry, just watching a few reels. And it reminded me of something that’s on the inside of me that’s just been coming up periodically, which is this desire to make a difference, to live worthily and accurately and as God is directing me and make a difference in this generation. Because without a doubt, we live in a time of great consequence, of great importance. And what we do now is significant. Because we’re at the culmination of all things as the book of 1st Peter says.

I want to use my life purposefully.
I want to redeem the time.
I want to truly make a difference in somebody else’s life with my gifts, with my time, with my energies, with my faith, with my practical engagement, with my prayers.

Terri Savelle Foy…

It can make a whole lot of difference. Because make no mistake about it, revival is unfolding. Terry Saville Foy said that the other day. She’s in Italy, ministering to pastors and ministers over there, and she said, “Don’t let the legacy media fool you. Revival is happening in Europe.”

We may not see it here. You may not be firsthand in the middle of it. You may only be hearing about it. But make no mistake, God is calling us to continue to pray about it, to advance the purposes of God through Living Word, through our daily tasks and agendas and what He’s called us to do. We live in days of great consequence. We don’t know how much time we have left. The Bible says we only have today. So how will you use today? I’m glad we can start it through prayer.

Prophetic word about Minnesota…

I read this yesterday in prayer and it bears repeating. But it’s a prophecy that came from someone, a year or two ago. They said “Minnesota, Minnesota.” In this prophecy, they were seeking the Lord through prayer. A group of people in another part of the country.

“I’ve called you to rise and to soar, come up and out, and from being stuck in your religious paradigms. Out of a frozen time yet holding great embers of fire within you that I’m stirring and shaking to burst into flames.”

Prayer for Minnesota…

Let’s just pause right there and pray for Minnesota. Can we do that?

Father, we call Minnesota out of a frozen state spiritually.
We call Minnesota out of the past and into the present and into a new day in the name of Jesus.
We call Minnesota out of where she has been and into a place of revival and awakening in the name of Jesus.

This prophecy goes on to say…

For I am stirring and shaking to burst into flames.
For in the days gone by, you have seen glimpses of revival, glimpses of awakening, and glimpses of great hope.
But I say to you today, you haven’t seen anything yet, Minnesota, compared to what I have prepared for you in the days ahead.
I have seen and I have heard the cries of My people.
Many even soaking the carpets with the cries for revival and reformation to come to their land to come to Minnesota.

Watch and see the fires of awakening arising out of Minnesota.
And a great move of My Spirit shall commence and sweep the land.”

Prayed…

So, Father, we thank you this morning for great fires of revival and awakening, sweeping this great state we call Minnesota.
We pray, Father, for a fresh baptism of Pentecost upon Minnesota, upon our cities and our churches.
We pray, Lord, take out the old and install the new things that you intend…

For us to be a part of
For us to witness
For us to experience as followers of Jesus up.

Open up! Open up!
We pray for an opening up of the way in Minnesota, an opening up of the way right here at Living Word.
Prepare, prepare and make ready our hearts, Lord.
Position us, transform us, change us, cause us to be in the right position now for what you intend.

Heidi Baker…

About a year ago, Heidi Baker shared these prophetic words that she got in the spirit about the United States. She said, “I was groaning and realized I was groaning for America. I started seeing a vision, and in it, God was showing me His glory. He was showing me suffering like I’d never seen before. I said, ‘Lord, the people in America don’t want to hear this. They don’t want to see it.’ But He said to me, ‘Are you going to tell them or not? Who are you? You said to Me that you would go anywhere and say anything that I instructed you.’”

This is the Lord talking to Heidi.

I replied, “Lord, I’m sorry. I will go. Since you have asked me to do it, and laid your hand on my life to do this.” I was seeing in the spirit, severe shaking. But I saw His glory. All I can see is that we had better fix our eyes in Jesus. This is not a time for playing games.”

It’s time to stop “playing church”

Or what I was kind of thinking in my spirit this morning was, this is not a time to be found “playing church.” This is the time to wake up. This is the time to live fully surrendered, to embark on a journey, an adventure. Like Phil and Fern Halverson’s book from many years ago: “Adventures in the Holy Spirit.”

This is the time when we can’t depend on what we’ve experienced up until this point. Because what comes here on out is unprecedented. And will require a new level of dependence on God the Holy Spirit, a new level of prayer, a new degree of faith where we actually have to live by faith.

The Bible says we’re to live by believing and not by seeing. I would imagine if you’re like me, we probably hate to admit it that we live more by seeing than we do believing at times. It’s just easy to do, right? But God is saying, “I have a fresh path. I have a new way, a higher way, a way of grace, a way of faith, a way where you make your way through your prayers.”

You pray something out, you walk it out, you pray it out, you walk it out… day by day, one day at a time. Surrendering your heart, giving your life to Him. One moment, one hour, one day at a time. He is taking you somewhere. He’s taking us as a church somewhere. Somewhere good.

Don’t get it mixed up because the media is reporting another breakout of chaos of some kind or death or destruction that will come. Jesus warned us, right? Even before He left the earth. He said, “Make no mistake about it. Don’t be surprised. You will experience and encounter chaos.” There will be trouble. There will be tribulations. We’re in that hour, but we don’t have to fear. Because we’re called to walk by believing, by faith and not by sight. And to remember that He’s with us through the end of the age.
From one season to the next season in this ministry and in your life. He’s right there. He’s still got you. He’s still got us. But He is requiring us to lean into Him a bit more. He is requiring us to engage our faith and the spiritual aspect of our lives on another level. Because what got you to this point will not get you to the next point.

“Oh, that’s a good word.” Well, I’m glad you agree. It is a good word. It is truth.

All we have is today. I want to make it count. The Spirit of God wants to make your life count, wants to make our prayers today count. Wants to make what we do this week throughout this ministry and our campuses, online and in-person count. Because lives hang in the balance. Destiny’s yet to be fulfilled. Bodies are yet to be healed. The creative intention of the Spirit must come from that realm to this realm in this generation. There’s just so much more than what we can see. So He’s inviting us to trust our partner, and our friend, and our helper, and our comforter, our strengthener, and our advocate, our coach in prayer and in life on the inside with every step we take… to not take the next breath for granted, to not take the next interaction with your friend or your coworker for granted.

I like to say that the Father in whom we find ourselves fathered by our Heavenly Father is the most purposeful being in all the universe. And He calls us to live like Him—purposefully. But my Bible says worthily, accurately. And I would add to that… on fire!

Heidi Baker goes on to say…

She was seeing shaking in America and that we need to fix our eyes on Jesus. And that this is not a time for playing games. There is darkness increasingly covering the earth. Huge darkness. But the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. In other words, His presence. You better be found in His presence today, in the secret place today.

Last time I checked, my Bible still says we’re to live and be propelled through life and whatever we do, no matter how small or practical it might be from the secret place. Pastor Lynne always reminds us, as in over the years that you weren’t just redeemed from something, you were redeemed to something. And that something, firstly, is a place in Him to live and dwell and move and have your being in Him.

Heidi finishes by saying…

“There is darkness increasingly covering the earth. Huge darkness. But the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Hold on and stay in your lane. Remove the judgment you have toward other parts of the body of Christ.” Or you could say another person, maybe in your family, maybe somebody close to you that you’re holding a grudge or something you don’t want to let go of. You need to let go of it.

And finally, she says…

If you have judgment and refuse to let it go, you are going to be missing a huge piece you need to have or must have in order to move wisely forward in these coming days.”

Let me read one more thing to you here that is something that a reflection I had that maybe goes a little bit along with this. It simply says this…

“If you will spend time to pray about what God puts in and on your heart to spend time with Him, things will change for you. Healing in every area or arena of your life will result. Things will begin to fall into place for you, and blessing will knock on your door. Not prioritizing your prayer life will eventually leave you outside of God’s will and potentially exposed to the enemy’s attacks. Prayer is not a work to get God on your side or a means to convince Him that He should bless you. Instead, it’s an act of obedience that unlocks His unlimited reservoirs of abundance, purpose, and blessing.”

Kenneth Hagin said…

Kenneth Hagin said this numerous times through the years before he went to heaven. “The greatest thing you can do is learn to pray. Because if you know how to pray, there’s nothing you can’t receive from God.”

And I would add to that, there’s nothing you can’t do for God.

So this is our means. This is something I feel like God has just… and I know I feel like I’m a stir-er upper. I feel like that’s part of my gifting. But even the last couple days, I just can’t get beyond the fact that, “Oh my goodness, God wants us to be fully awake, to be fully on fire.” Let me level that up and say He wants us to live with a sense of urgency, not where we’re freaking out kind of urgency, but urgency like “I need to get into my prayer place this morning. I need to get time with God today. I need to do what I feel prompted in my heart to do by the Spirit right now.” Rather than, “I’ll get to that later. I’ll jot that down. Maybe I’ll get to that on Thursday or something.”

No! This is an hour of great consequence. Where our timing and our responsiveness to Him is all important. We just have today. The scripture reads, “Teach us to number our days, Lord.”

Another passage in the New Testament says, “Redeem the time.” It means buy it back, meaning it’s scarce. Even if you’re young, it’s scarce. We may only have a few days left. We don’t know. So it’s important to get it right with Him. It’s important to surrender to Him. It’s important to make that faith decree about your family or that situation or whatever He drops into your heart that you feel, “Ugh, I hate seeing that in that nation,” or, “I hate seeing that in our society.”

Well, that may be the Lord nudging you and winking at you saying, “I need you to pray this out. I need you to declare this. I need you to stand on My Word and contend for I want this to occur.”

I’ve been thinking more recently about how I want to live to help God get His way. That’s why we should live… to help God get His way, not just in our lives, but everywhere we go.

So just let your heart be stirred this morning…

Let fire erupt on the inside of you. Clearly, God is igniting revival fires in London, England, and the UK. People are spontaneously worshiping in Rome, Italy. In the most random places, people are going down into the seashores, along the coast of different nations to be baptized. Football teams are gathering for prayer before and after and continuing sometimes for long periods of time to pray for one another and to proclaim the name of Jesus.

I don’t want to be caught playing church when this is breaking out. I want to be right in the middle of it. And that starts with prayer. That starts with my devotion. That starts with the decision we’re not going to just defend the status quo as a church or as individuals. We’re going to rise up and we’re going to stir ourselves up as the passage in Isaiah says and not go quietly into the night, not let our nation go quietly into the night. No. We’re to go into the light.
