Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Good morning. Welcome to morning prayer.
Let me just share a couple scriptures with you. You know as we’ve been taught so well around here, Pastor Lynne has reminded us through the years that God’s Word is our foundation for prayer. And it is our springboard. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, by the words of Christ in particular. And that faith allows us to pray effectively.
Psalm 139:17 says…
“How precious and weighty also are your thoughts toward me, Oh God. How vast is the sum of them.”
So it would be good to know that the Lord is thinking of you today.
Psalm 91:15 says…
“He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him.”
Matthew 6:6 says…
“And also when you pray, go into your room and closing the door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”
So expect some rewards this week if you spent some time with God.
Luke 18:1 says…
And also, Jesus told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray to not turn coward, faint, lose heart or give up. How’s that for some encouragement in prayer today.
Ephesians 6:18 says…
“Pray at all times on every occasion, in every season in in the spirit with all manner of prayer and entreaty. To that end, keep alert, watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all saints.”
Quotes about prayer from well-known authors…
Now let me read you a couple of quotes by well-known authors in times past, great men of old… about prayer in particular.
R.A. Torrey once said…
“Our whole life should be a life of prayer. We should walk in constant communion with the Father. There should be a constant looking upward toward God. We should walk habitually in His presence that even when we awake in the night, it would be the most natural thing for us to speak to Him in thanksgiving and petitions.”
Steve Houl (sp?) said back in 1991…
“Prayer is a special place in which to live. Prayer is a special place where your heart to Me you give. Prayer is a special place where you seek Me for plans and purposes and what to do. a walk that’s higher. Prayer calls things not as though they were. Prayer is knowing your prayers are heard. Prayer should not be burdensome to you. Prayer should be an opportunity to fellowship with Me and enter through. Walking through another door, going into another place where it’s full of glory and full of grace.”
Pastor Ken commented…
I like that. Right? You’ve probably heard me say that prayer is your opportunity to reach into another realm and bring it or implement it into this realm.
Steve Houl continued…
“For prayer is what causes things to change in people’s lives. A special place, orders from headquarters running your race, setting the pace for things to come.” I believe that’s what we’re going to do this morning. We’re going to set the pace for things to come. “Spending time in prayer, getting things done.” I love that.
R.A. Torrey…
Then R.A. Torrey also once said in his book, The Power of Prayer, “This then is the way to come into the presence of God. To be sure that we have come into His presence, first come by the blood. Second, come in this Holy Spirit, looking to the Holy Spirit to lead us into the presence of God and make God real to us.”
R.A. Torrey also in that same book said…
“Oh, there is a secret of becoming much like God, remaining long alone with God. If you won’t stay long with Him, you won’t be much like Him.”
E.M. Bounds…
And then finally, E.M. Bounds in his “Complete Works of Prayer,” which I highly recommend… great book. He writes, “God shapes the world by prayer. Prayers are deathless.” In other words, they don’t die. “The lips that uttered them may be closed in death. The heart that felt them may have ceased to beat, but the prayers live before God and God’s heart is set on them. And prayers outlive the lives of those who uttered them. Outlive a generation, outlive an age.”
Pastor Ken adds comment…
But I would add to that: but make no mistake about it. God will get His way. And He will fulfill those prayers.
Prays…
Lord, we just remind you of the prayers for America that have been prayed by our founding forefathers and mothers who come before us, who prayed, who prophesied, who labored in the things of the spirit and in ministry and in their lives to make freedom possible in this country.
We just remind you of those prayers and those prophetic utterances that have come forth over these last 200 plus years right here in these United States of America.
And we pray, Lord, may those prayers be deathless.
And may you hover over the prayers that have prayed long before we got here that have yet to be fulfilled.
And we pray, Lord, fulfill them, promote them, prosper them, establish them.
Yes, in our nation for this time, in this generation, we pray in Jesus’ name.
Prophetic word concerning Minnesota…
And one more thing I want to read to you. I read it a while back, but it was a prophetic word given over Minnesota in particular.
It says this…
“Minnesota, Minnesota, Minnesota…”
Pastor Ken adds commentary…
And I will interject here. If I remember right, this came out of a time of prayer by a group of people somewhere else in the country who were praying over each state. And this is what they got from Minnesota.
“Minnesota, I have called you to rise and soar.
Come up out of a time of being stuck in the religious paradigms of the past, frozen in time.
Yet holding great embers of fire within you that I am stirring and shaking to burst into flames.
For in days gone by, you have seen glimpses of revival, glimpses of awakening, and glimpses of great hope.
But I say to you today, Minnesota, you haven’t seen anything yet compared to what I have prepared for you in the days ahead.
I have seen and I have heard the cries of My people.
Many even soaking the carpets with their cries for revival and reformation to come to their land.
I’ve seen and I’ve heard.
And I shall answer in mighty displays of power and might.
Watch and see the fires of awakening arising out of Minnesota.
The fires of awakening rising out of Minnesota.
And a great move of My spirit shall commence, that will sweep the land.”
Let’s not forget…
the other prophetic utterances that have called out Minnesota to be a glory hotspot, that have called out and named Minnesota to be an ignition point for holy Pentecostal fires. That may start here, but then will spread from the north to the south, from the east to the west.
I don’t know about you, but I am unwilling to see my state of Minnesota, or wherever you’re from, whatever province or state or nation, I’m unwilling to see it go quietly into the night and be taken over by the powers beneath.
No, no. Let’s stand up today in the spirit and in our intentional faith and say,
No, no, ‘No, Devil, you’ll not have your way here in Minnesota.
We say, No, you will not have your way in Washington, DC.
No, you will not have your way in these United States of America.
No, no, no in Jesus’ name.
Prayer cont…
Father, we lift up this prophetic intention right here that we just read this morning about Minnesota.
And together we unite and contend across digital platforms in this chapel this morning.
And we say “yes” to your plan right here in Minnesota.
We exercise our authority and we plead the blood of Jesus over St. Paul and our state capitol.
We plead the blood of Jesus over this great state of Minnesota this morning in Jesus’ name.
And we pray, Father, for a holy and a God-ordained shifting now in our leadership in this state, a supernatural shifting and reset in the atmosphere, in the outlook, in the spiritual environment.
We say “Be disrupted by the hand of God.”
We say “Angels, be dispatched and released to disrupt what the enemy has sought to establish and to perpetuate.”
We say, “No you don’t, and no it won’t. In Jesus’ name.”
For we loose angelic resources and hosts to disrupt and to back off.
And we command darkness to go from this state, from our very capital in St. Paul.
To the north on along the Canadian border to the south from the St. Croix to the Dakotas, we pray, Lord, may the atmosphere change and the stage be set and may angels be active to stir the waters once again, that glory would flow, that holy fire would ignite and swell and flow and spread from this north star state?
From this great state of Minnesota, we pray today in Jesus’ name.
