Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Heather…

Good morning. Welcome to morning prayer. My name is Heather Sibinski and I’m one of the pastors here at Living Word. Thank you for coming.

Shekinah glory…

I was going to talk about the Shekinah glory. It’s so much better to just experience it than to talk about it. I think I shared this before, but when we went to Israel, we went up to the Western Wall to pray. And that is the closest you can get to where the temple was, where the holy of holies was, where the Shekinah glory, the presence of God in those days dwelt.

And as I laid my hands on the wall, I just prayed, “God, let that Shekinah glory come to Living Word. Not just to feel that manifest or to feel the beautiful things that come along with it, but just your presence, God. Your manifest, tangible presence, your glory, your Shekinah glory. Where no one can sit in that presence and deny that you exist. Let that come to Living Word.”

And that’s my heart cry. That there’d be revival, that that latter rain… I know we’ve been all praying for that and there’s so many different names for it. But really it’s just the manifest presence of God. We have Him in us. He dwells among us, but there’s something different when He comes and dwells in a space like that. The fullness of His presence. And He says, “In those days, I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh.” We are in those days.

Prayed…

And so we hunger for that, Father. For your Shekinah glory, for your manifest presence, for your tangible presence.
Oh, how we’re hungry for that, Father. For your revival rain.
That as your presence falls in our lives, in our services here at Living Word, that people are healed, set free. There’s miracles. That the gifts of the Spirit are in operation.
We just hunger for that, Father. We hunger for that.

Direction…

And if you’re watching online, you pray for your church, wherever that is. For that latter reign, for that revival, for that awakening, for that Shekinah glory, for that manifest presence of God.

Prayer continued…

Oh, how we hunger for it, Lord. We need it. We need your presence. And all our plans and all our things that we have pale in comparison to your presence.
So, Father, we ask. We believe that your manifest presence is moving and sweeping through this building in the name of Jesus.
That the services, that the church, that the body is just hungering for you with such a passion that we won’t be satisfied until we’re fully consumed with passion and fire for you.
That nothing satisfies that hunger but you.
So increase that hunger in us, Father.
Stir up those flames today as the body of Christ that we’re so hungry.
We’re so hungry that every time we come into your presence, we leave changed.
And we won’t leave until we are changed. Until we experience your presence.
That we’re not satisfied with status quo.
But it has to be you, Father, just fully you. Nothing else.
So we give you free reign in our lives, in this church to move as you want to.
To do what you want to, what only you can do.
Flood us with your presence. We are your Holy of Holies now. We are your temples. This church is your temple.
These bodies are your temple, and so we invite you in.
We say, “Take back what is rightfully yours. Come back in.”
Reign supreme over all our own agendas, our own plans, our own worries, our own fears.
You reign far, far, far, far above anything we could ask or hope or dream.
We know, Father, it’s all found in you. And so we thank you, Father, for your presence.
Oh, how we need your presence just to breathe, just to wake up.
We need your presence just to walk in this world today.
Oh, we need your presence just to love our neighbor. We need your presence, Father.
So we thank you, Holy Spirit, you are that abiding, dwelling presence of God.
The cloud by day, the fire by night that lives and breathes and dwells in us.
And so now we give you free reign. Do what you want to do. Take over.
It all belongs to you anyways.
We release our personal motives and we say, “Have your way because your ways are not like our ways.”
And there’s so much better. And we can think of a million ways to make our lives great, to make church great, to make this town great, to make this country great, to make this world great.
But it’s all about you, Father. You can change things in the blink of an eye.
And so we surrender to your presence, to your will, to your way.
And we say, use us.
Alter our thinking. Renew our minds to think how you think.
Thank you, Father, for hearts that are on fire for you.
Sweep in and do what only you can do.
We give you free reign, full permission. Not that you need it, but you ask for it so we give it to you because you’re such a gentleman.
And so we’d give you free reign to do what you want to do because we know it will far exceed any plan that we have.
We continue to believe for your Shekinah glory, the manifest presence at Living Word in our homes, in our hearts, in our workplaces, in the grocery store, in our cars.
Wherever we go, Father, that Shekinah glory abiding, dwelling.
That we walk in and we change atmospheres with your presence.
So I thank you, Father, for just a heightened awareness of the precious presence that we carry inside of us.
That we reference it in a way that’s pleasing to you.
That we carry it in a way that’s pleasing to you.
That we represent you in a way that’s pleasing to you.
Sensitize our hearts and make us so hungry for your presence that nothing else will do.
No television show, no social media, no relationship, no amount of money, no amount of healing in our bodies.
Yes, you’ll give us all those things, but Father, you reign above all that.
That we seek only you, far above everything else that we seek your face.
We seek your heart more than we seek your hand.
Father, we thank you for being with us today, for your presence.
It was so beautiful and we know we take it with us as we go.
We don’t leave it here.
We take it out into the world as we go about our days today, just splashing over on everyone we come into contact with today.
We thank you for that, Father.
We give you all the honor, all the glory and all the praise and Jesus’ name, amen and amen.
