Welcome, everybody, to morning prayer. Thanks for coming to just sit at the feet of Jesus and love on Him this morning. He’s worthy of all of our affection, all our attention, and our devotion belongs to Him.
Pastor Folu asked if anything was on my heart, and the Lord’s been reminding me… He’s really good at encouraging. Winter is hard for me. I don’t know if anybody else struggles with that. I’m going to try not to cry. No sunshine and cold. Also not seeing things that He’s spoken to you can just get long. But He’s sweet. And one of the devotionals that I read is called “I Hear His Whisper.” And this one’s from a while back, but He keeps bringing it up and having me read it. So I’m going to share it and I hope that it will encourage you, especially going into a new year with to-do lists and things that seem heavy. But to remember what He’s placed inside of you.
You Are My Warrior…
So it’s called, “You Are My Warrior.” And it says, “My armies are battle ready and prepared to fight on your behalf. Step out in faith and watch the miracles break forth. Have I not equipped you? All who rise against you will fall. And those who disgrace My name will be set aside. But your calling is to move forward in faith and bring defeat to the forces of darkness. Give yourself to me wholeheartedly and the glory within you will shine so brightly. Darkness will tremble. Your radical obedience will catapult you into My strategic plans that release your breakthrough.”
Your radical obedience…
And that just stuck out “your radical obedience” like He sees whether we feel like it or not.
“You are unstoppable. You have the backing of heaven and the favor only a child can have. If you could see the angels that have been released to you, you would never be intimidated by the enemy. I have given you everything you need to overcome. Beautiful one, you are My warrior. You are strong and courageous, anointed and treasured, cared for. You are more capable than you know, and you are surrounded by angels who are ready to slay the giants with you.”
And that was based out of Psalm 103: 20–21. And that’s the Passion translation. And it says, “Bless the Lord, all the messengers of power for you are His mighty heroes who listen intently to the voice of His Word to do it. Bless and praise the Lord, you mighty warriors, ministers who serve Him well and fulfill His desires.”
So I hope that this can help your hearts and remember what He has placed inside of you. And at times, I’m like, “Are you sure?” But to remember that as Pastor Trina taught me, if He’s called you, He’s equipped you. So just remember that.

Hello. Pastor Folu asked me to just share what God has placed on my heart for this year that we’re in, 2024. And thank you for that word. The thing that jumped out to me was “radical obedience.” And then your singing about how sweet it is to trust in Jesus.
When I was sitting there, I was like, “Radical obedience? What is that?” It’s not doing huge things. It’s doing things when we’re afraid. It’s radical to get up and do something when we feel so weak, but those are the times that His strength is made perfect and our radical obedience to step out in those little spaces where we don’t feel equipped. But we are equipped. We’re totally and completely equipped. He places desires in our heart and we kind of maybe want to dismiss them because “Now I don’t feel equipped for that.” But it fits there. It’s just an indication that you’re equipped.
And even in those shaky places, Lord, you’ve showed me time and time again that if you step out, great and awesome things come. The Spirit of glory comes. Anything that comes to keep you from stepping out to bring a reproach upon you, whether you’re doing it to yourself or feeling it from those around you, that Spirit of glory is resting on you. So I’m just wanting to encourage you this year to step out in areas that you’re feeling weakened. But you have a desire from that desire. You have to know there’s a completion and His glory is okay.
The verse that I was thinking about was “It’s not to be compared with the glory that’s about to be revealed in and through you.” That’s Romans 8. So there is a reward and it’s Jesus. And that reward is Him being displayed through you in greater and greater ways as you step out in the faith of the Son of God, that desire that you begin to entertain. And it’s like, “Yeah, I think I can do that.” Because you’re fully equipped to do it.
And so in 2024, I get the Word “fullness.” And my friend, Amelda, saw an open vision of a gas filling station, solid gold. So the word 24 karat gold came into my heart. And then DJ on Friday started talking about the fact that there’s 24 hours in the day. And I thought, “Well, that’s pretty good.” Could we give every hour of the day to our Father? Could we have a full life, fully consecrated, fully trusting Him. We have a sweet life in Him. It is so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His name, to trust Him.
There was a time in my life when I thought I trusted God, but my heart was crying out and all of the circumstances around me weren’t bearing to the Word that I was standing on. I know the Word, I confess the Word, but I’m not seeing the fruit of it. And it’s discouraging. But I cried out to God. And I said, “God, help me.” And one day, He showed me. He pulled back the curtain and something dropped in my heart and it came out of my mouth and I said, “I don’t trust you.” And before that, I would’ve argued how much I trusted God.
But to trust God is to give up your striving and your self-effort and will, and just trust Him in those places of weakness. Because in those places of weakness, His strength is made perfect and the Spirit of glory is on you. And you learn to humbly walk with God and to never ever give place to fear.
So I declare over 2024 that it is a full measure of trusting in you that we can embrace the process. That before it talks about suffering for Jesus, but it’s not in those areas, Father, of not feeling equipped, not feeling like we have what it takes. But we just thank you, Father, that it shall not be, or it should compare to the glory that’s going to be by degree every day of this 365 days of 2024 fullness in Jesus’ name.

I love the way Pastor Folu follows the leading of the Holy Spirit. And it’s a joy to be in prayer and be underneath his tutelage. He asked me to share something, and I see now why the Spirit of the Lord is bringing some things together. We talked about trust. Sing this song “tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, to take you at your Word, to acknowledge the place that your Word has in my life.”
Trust in the Lord…
He says in Proverbs 3:3,5–6, “Trust in the Lord. Trust in Me, with all your heart. Don’t lean on your own understanding. In 2024, would you choose not to lean on your own understanding? Will you choose to follow Me? If you make that choice, I will lead you in the path that you should take. I will direct your steps. I will make your paths straight.
In the Passion translation, Proverbs 3:5,6 reads, “Trust in the Lord completely. Do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart, rely on him to guide you and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him and whatever you do…”
Let me change that and make it first person. Jesus is saying, become intimate with Me in whatever you do, and I will lead you wherever you go.”
As Cindy talked about living radically, I’ve been going through the Sermon on the Mount. And He says there are a lot of radical things like walking in kindness, walking in love. In other words, trusting in these radical ways when they seem so contrary to the culture.
In today with Matthew 5:39, I’ll just pick it up from the Passion translation, middle of the verse. “But whoever insults you by slapping you on the right cheek, turn the other to him as well.” And there’s a little note in the Passion translation in the cultural setting of the days of Jesus, to slap someone was the greatest, insulting physical blow you could give a person. It is more radical to respond with kindness. This robs the oppressor of his ability to humiliate.” Wow.
So Father, we choose to trust in you and we find a sweetness in trusting in you. If we choose to live radical and demonstrate your love, your kindness, your goodness. We love you, Lord.

Great and wonderful and marvelous things are happening in the spirit world and the natural realm, but most especially in the financial realm. For it is a great breakthrough for God’s people financially that will listen to Him and listen to His Word and realize the power of biblical prosperity. There are going to be financial wars that you are going to win.
The word of the Lord, 2024.
And so, saints, as you can hear what the Spirit of the living God is saying. And so two things that the Lord has given me for this year. Financial realms in terms of finances for members and staff of Living Word like never before. And then the other thing He gave me for this year is the glory. So let’s talk about this financial thing for a little bit, and then we’re going to pray about it.
Something happened to me on Saturday. If anybody told me that something like that would happen, I would say it’s not even possible that something remotely like that could ever happen. One of our church members comes up to me on Saturday, she has a checkbook open. She said, “Folu, how many thousand should I write this check for?” I said, “What are you talking about?” She said, “Well I want to give. So should I write it for 5,000, 10,000, 20,000?” I said, “Whoa, whoa. I mean, that’s between you and God, how much you should write your offering for.” She said, “Okay, alright, I’ll just write it for $10,000.” I was like, “Wow.”
And then on Sunday, one of the usher leaders was telling me about how back in December or last month, he said he was expecting a bonus of some kind, but he was surprised when he was given a $10,000 bonus. So one of the things that these two people have in common, direct proportion to what the Spirit of God said here. It’s for God’s people financially that will listen to Him and listen to His Word. It’s not for everybody. It’s not for every Christian.
And I started thinking about it and I said, “Lord, look at what you’re doing right out of the gate. I mean right out of the gate of the new year.” And guess what this dear usher leader did back in December when this happened? He said the way the Lord led him, he took part of that $10,000 that he was not expecting that much. And he went to Target and started blessing people, started buying and paying for people’s stuff.
Saints, Living Word is a big giver. And who is Living Word? You! So, saints, the word of the Lord has gone forth about this year, about the financial realm, and I’m just imploring you to be expecting… to be expecting. Because God is bringing it forth. And it’s going to come from channels that you don’t even expect. Now, this dear friend that gave this $10,000 on Saturday, here’s what happened to her. Why she has all this money. Her mom went to heaven back in November. So I just happened to run into her on Saturday night in November. And we had small talk but I’m looking at her face and I see that her countenance is a little fallen. I said, “What’s wrong?” Because she’s usually a very cheerful person. She said, “Well, my mom went home to be with the Lord today.” I said your mom went to be with the Lord today and you’re at church! She said, “It happened this morning.” I said, wow. She said, “I know where she is, so why not come and worship the Lord?” I said that’s pretty amazing. And so when the mom passed, she was expecting some money. And here’s what she told me. She said she was so surprised with all the money she got. She said the first installment was $160,000. Exactly.
So the Lord is going to be showing up big… big for us this year. Living Word as a church has a lot of projects, a lot of projects financially. So as the Lord blesses you with all this money, He is going to direct you and I where to give it. And one thing that our senior pastor has said and I really appreciate it, “The bulk of our giving should be done here.” And that’s a true statement.
And in line with this word, the Lord gave a word about prosperity to Living Word specifically when Brother Jesse was here back on 8/25/18. I’ll read part of it. And here’s what the Spirit of God said through Brother Jesse at Living Word on that fateful day.
“And then not only will this place be known as a place of wealth, but it will be known as a place of the distribution of blessing. And I will give revelation not how to finance poverty, but how to eradicate it.”
Once again, many times the Lord deals conditionally and it says here, “And if you believe Me and do what I say to do, I will begin tonight, saith the Lord. And then not only will this place be known as a place of wealth, but it will be known as a place of the distribution of blessing.”
And then the Lord said this. I mean, you really have to put on your spiritual eyes to receive this because in the natural, you’re like, what? He said this to brother Jesse, that same word. He says, “And I’ll make it the wealthiest church and people will come thinking they’re just going to get wealthy, but they’re going to get saved and they’re going to get humbled. And I will make it the wealthiest church.”
Father, we thank you so much for this wonderful word specifically about Living Word, about where you have called us to.
Father, you said that you will make this church the wealthiest church and people will come thinking they’re just going to get wealthy, but they’re going to get saved and they’re going to get humbled.
So, Father, we pray for that right now. We believe your Word. And we say “Word, come forth in Jesus’ name.”
Thank you for the prosperity of your people, of the members here, of the employees here, like never before. Money just showing up in different ways.
