Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Susan…
Good morning, everybody. So blessed you’ve joined us for morning prayer.
It’s time to get back to our foundations…
As we gather this morning, let’s just lift up the name of Jesus. I have in my heart to pray about foundations, to get back to foundations, back to our roots, back to the truth of God’s Word.
Shout Jesus from the mountains…
Can we say that again about shouting Jesus from the mountains and all that. Let’s declare that prophetically this morning. Let’s declare that over this community. Let’s declare Jesus to our nation because in the name of Jesus, there is power to “change” things… there is power to “shake” things. And we need some things to be shaken, that true foundations would be revealed. We want the foundations to be revealed. We want everything that’s hidden to come into the light.
We declare Jesus this morning.
Jesus, the powerful, wonderful, mighty, greatest name that’s above all names.
We declare Jesus and all that Jesus represents—the authority, the dominion, the power, the beginning and the end.
John 1… In the beginning…
I’m going to read a scripture this morning. It’s going to be kind of a launching pad for praying today about those foundations. And the Lord took me to the scripture this morning. It’s John chapter one. And I’m sure that you know it well. But if you have your Bibles, you might want to open to that.
But it says this: “In the beginning.” This is foundational. “In the beginning was the word. And the word was with God, and the word was God. He was with God in the beginning. And through Him all things were made. And without Him, nothing was made that has been made.”
Foundation.
“In Him was life and that life was the light of men.”
And this hasn’t changed.
“In Him and Him alone is light. In Him and Him alone is life. In Him everything was made.”
He is the foundation!
And we live in a world where other things are trying to be exalted as the foundation. And when other things get exalted and things try to be built on another foundation, you see the course of everything is messed up.
And it’s true for nations. God established everything with a foundation—nations, governments. God has built great foundations. But men with pride have sought to build off of that foundation. And so we just want to pray about some foundations today.
1st Corinthians 3:9–11…
Paul said this about himself. And this is true for us as people in the church. “We are laborers together with God. We are God’s husbandry.” This is 1st Corinthians 3:9–11.
“And you are God’s building.” And you know what? That building has a foundation. The church has a foundation. You have a foundation. Our nation has a foundation. Whether people want to believe it or not—or accept it or not—is irrelevant.
And then it says this in verse 10: “According to the grace of God, which is given to me,” Paul said, “as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation and another builds thereon.”
And this is how it is. God has laid foundations and people have been building. Some have been building on the foundation. Many have been building off of it on their own, right?
So He said, “Let every man take heed on how he builds thereupon, for other foundation can no man lay then that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
That’s it!
He’s the foundation for freedom.
He’s the foundation for truth.
He’s the foundation for our security, for our stability.
He’s the foundation for the world.
People won’t experience the goodness of life and health and freedom apart from Jesus. It won’t come any other way. It “can’t” come any other way.
Not by the wisdom of man.
Not by the wisdom of the world.
And so we’re going to pray some things today about foundations. So let’s pray and remember the powerful name of Jesus. And as we were worshiping and singing today, I just saw myself proclaiming…
Jesus over our Capital.
Jesus over Congress.
Jesus over the White House.
Jesus over governments.
Jesus over elections.
Jesus in the streets.
Jesus in our communities.
Jesus in the churches.
There are churches who have lost their footing and have gotten off of the foundation of the truth of the Word! Right? We’ve got to come back to that. And you see through scripture that when there’s a shaking, you see different times… I was reading about foundations this morning, how there was a shaking to “reveal” foundations. There needs to be light on foundations, where foundations aren’t right and they’re off. That needs to be revealed. The foundation of Jesus is true and right. That needs to be revealed in the world today. People need to know…
There is absolute truth.
There is a way.
There is truth.
There is life.
And it’s found in Jesus.
We can never back away from that truth. Never can we back away. It’s our foundation, right? We’re powerless without that. We have nothing without that!
So, Father, we just come to you this morning. We lift up that name of Jesus. It’s a beautiful name. It’s a wonderful name.
Declarations…
Jesus, we declare you to be Lord… we declare your lordship… over heaven and earth. You are Lord over every nation… over every government… over every king… over every prime minister… over every president… over every leader.
Jesus, we exalt you in this place this morning. Be exalted in and through your church. Be exalted in this nation. Be exalted overall over every lie, over every strategy, over every plan of the enemy.
Be exalted in homes. Be exalted in the workings of our government, in the workings of this nation. Behind the scenes, be exalted.
Prayed…
We lift up that which is behind the scenes. You said, first of all, pray for all men. Pray for those who are kings. Pray for those who are in authority so that we can live a godly life. We lift up leaders around the world, the heads of state, governments, people who are in positions, nations around the world.
Father, we’re lifting them up because it’s your will that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. So we pray for the exaltation of Jesus in the different nations around the world, especially those places that are dark, where there’s gross darkness.
We say, “Let there be light. Let there be light.”
Father, we pray that there would be a shaking. Let there be a shaking that foundations would be revealed. The foundations would be revealed into the light… into the plans, motives, purposes. We call you into the light. That would just hit it under the cloak of darkness… we say, “Let there be light!”
Father, we know that our hope is in you. Our trust is in you. Our confidence is in you. Father, we pray for all of those who are in darkness to come into the glorious light. We pray for the glorious light to be accelerated, increased for the volume of truth to be turned up in the world.
It will not be silenced.
It will be turned up.
For you are the way.
You are the truth.
You are the life.
And only in you is their freedom.
Only in you is their truth.
Father, we pray for the exaltation of truth this morning. May your Word be lifted up. We pray for the lifting up of the truth of the Word. All the lifting up of biblical truth, biblical values all be lifted up high. Be strengthened. Strengthen your voice in the earth… in the church.
Strengthen your voice through the church. We pray for nations to turn to the Lord.
We pray into that turning… turning away from darkness to life, to light… turning away from deception to truth. Turn, turn, turn, turn. Turning a change of mind, a change of heart.
Father, that they would come to you, that their eyes would be opened. Father, we pray for your glorious presence to come upon them, to overshadow them that they would know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you are real, that you are God.
By your Spirit, show up in meetings… in conferences… in conference rooms… in those chambers.
Father, show up with your goodness… your power… your presence.
Make yourself known, Jesus.
Father, we lift up your plan… to reach nations… to reach the lost… for this ministry… for this church… to go into all the world and to make disciples of all the nations.
Father, we lift up the masses… those who are hurting… those who are broken… those who are lost… those who are deceived… even those that might be working against you, Lord.
We lift them up because Jesus died for all and it’s your will that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
Father, we lift that up the mission… the great commission… the preaching… the teaching… the going… the sending… the building… the launching… the church… the gifts… the callings…
Father, all that are involved, like a great network, like a great working together, we lift up that network of believers. Thank you for that net… the net to catch all the fish…
We lift up and pray for the body of Christ that we would rise up and be the voice that you have called us to be, that we would rise up and be your hands, that we would rise up and be your feet.
Many are slumbering. We say, “Wake up, wake up, wake up!”
Wake up to your calling. Wake up to your destiny. Wake up to your part. Wake up to the plan. Wake up to the Father.
We pray for them today that there would be supernatural help and assistance.
Strengthen the church… that we would be the glorious church. We would not be the withdrawn church, not the sleeping church, not the complacent church… but the glorious church! The vibrant church! The alive church! The active church!
