Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Prayer Leader Jeannie…

Good morning. We have the most powerful people on the planet here in the chapel. We just want to welcome you to corporate prayer this morning. My name is Jeannie. My husband’s name is Mike.

Prayed…

Father, we just welcome you today. We thank you for the honor and the privilege, Holy Spirit, speak through us, move through us. We acknowledge the tragedy and the tragic loss that the body has endured. And we come together today because His plan is sure. And His purpose hasn’t changed.

Declarations…

How we respond to this is what makes the way. Your plan is short. Your comfort is true. Your comfort is present.

We trust you.
We lean into your love today.
We lean into your plan today.
We lean into your promises today.
We embrace the mystery of contradiction.
We trust you in the middle of mystery.
We choose to trust.
We choose a stalwart, tender heart toward the Father today.
We keep our focus on you and your plan.

He did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind…

He did not give us a spirit of fear. But of power and of love and a sound mind. Why would we be given a spirit of power and love and a sound mind? Is it just to sit around? No! It’s to receive from Him, to receive comfort while we keep moving forward.

Encourage… encourage… infuse with courage.
We declare over the body of Christ… In the middle of hurts, in the middle of mystery, in the middle of contradiction… comfort, comfort. Strength. Assurance.
His plan is good.
His plan hasn’t changed.
Nothing. Nothing. Nothing changes the plan of the Father.
Good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good Daddy.
We just lay it all down before Him.
And we receive your heart for us.
We receive your heart for our nation.
We receive your heart for our generation.
We receive what you already told us.
What did you tell us? Remind us again.
God, you never give us a Christianese platitude… not one time. Not one time! I don’t think you’ve ever told us to “buck up and tough it out.” But you have told us that we do not have a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and a sound mind.
We declare soundness of mind over the nation.
Soundness of mind over leadership.
Soundness of mind at a cellular level.
Soundness, strength, vision, purpose, encompassed in the intimacy of a loving, loving Abba.
The Abba that Jesus cried out to when He didn’t want to finish it. Abba! That’s the ABBA we cry out to today when we feel like we can’t finish this course. Yes, we can. In intimacy, we finish the course.
We finish the plan in intimacy with you, Abba.
I thank you good, good, good, good, good Daddy. Strong loving arms of Abba.

You’re so good. You were good yesterday. You were good in the middle of it all. You’re good in the middle of loss.
You comfort us.
You don’t comfort us to cower in a corner, God.
You comfort us to intimacy.
You comfort us to sonship to kingship.
You comfort us to walk this thing out.
Let hope rise up. Let hope rise up.
The price is too high not to let Him in. It’s too high. If you can only let Him in a little bit, just give Him a little bit.
Good, good, good, good, Daddy.
The mystery of strength.
The mystery of peace that passes understanding.
The mystery that your Word says we have shoes of peace… to stand, to walk, to run.
Shoes of peace that pass understanding.
Thank you. Thank you.
We establish our hearts with you today.
We get established in you today, Father.
We’re not going to waste time.
We’re not going to waste time and keep ourselves from your comfort, God.
We thank you for your plan.
Children of God, you have an Abba. You have a Daddy that knows you.
You have a daddy that knew about yesterday.
You have a daddy that knew about that loss.
You’re the redeemer. It makes us believers. It makes us believing believers.
Because you’ve redeemed us, you make us believing believers.
We walk away from fear.
We walk away from doubt.
We walk away from unbelief.
Okay, we don’t understand. But when the church rallied yesterday, none of those prayers were wasted. Not one. They’re walking out today.

And so we don’t back down.

Jeannie shared…

I’m just going to share a few things real quick. So yesterday when the news came and the church began to rally to pray for Charlie Kirk, I was remembering watching Flashpoint the day before and Russell was on. He’s the pastor of the church in Seattle, and the threat level has increased for he and his family. And his approach was to double down.

Now, I say it with a smile because of who God is. I can’t emphasize enough how important it is that we not back away from receiving comfort and stay in intimacy with the Father. Sometimes in the Word of faith church that gets lost. Sometimes just in a stoic culture that can get lost.

But remember, the thing that got Jesus to do the finished work was when He leaned into the Father. And that’s what we’re doing. We’re leaning into the Father.

So yesterday, I said to God, “Why are we on the docket? You know that we’re kind of dorks.” And He said, Jeannie, “Nobody cares that you’re not qualified.” And it really took the pressure off. So you have an unqualified person here leading prayer with you, just like the rest of you. But you’re still the most powerful people on the planet!

The mystery of the kingdom. We embrace it and we keep our eyes on Him.

So this morning I woke up with, “Oh no.” And then my next thought was “The valley of Ono.” Nehemiah. And when you read chapter six, I would suggest you do it. It will put you in a good mood even with what’s happening today. Now, keep in mind, we are not discounting the pain of the trauma that has just ensued. We’re not putting that aside because we’re going to walk out of here encouraged.

We can receive His comfort and be encouraged because that’s what the kingdom does. You grieve, you mourn, you receive His comfort. You receive joy. You keep moving.

So we’re not “toughing it out” today. It’s just not allowed. I don’t even want to hear that anymore. It is crippling when you’re already broken hearted to be told to be tough. Really?

God told me to be strong and courageous. And if God told me then He supplies me. If someone else tells me, “eh.” If it’s from God, it brings strength. If it’s not from God, it brings shame. Just think about that.

But when we go to Abba in despair, He leads us to the finished work and we can’t despair anymore. Cynicism goes out the window.

The enemy wants to get you into the Valley of Ono…

So I’m just going to do a quick recap of the Valley of Ono. Isn’t it funny? It’s called the Valley of Ono. “Oh no!” And it’s a valley. And it’s exactly where Nehemiah’s enemies kept calling him to go while he was on assignment. The Valley of Ono is exactly where Nehemiah’s enemies kept calling him to go when he was on assignment.

I’m going to say it again.

The valley of “Oh no!” is exactly where the enemy is going to call you to go to get you off your assignment.

So I looked it up. It’s really hilarious how AI calls it a parable. It’s not a parable. It happened.

So the Valley of Ono is in the book of Nehemiah, chapters four and six. We’re going to touch on chapter six today. Nehemiah is working to rebuild the wall, which is a great work. His enemies attempt to distract and stop him. They invite him to meet in the plain of, “Oh no!” A location away from his work. Recognizing this as a malicious trap to harm him, Nehemiah sends back a powerful reply. “I am doing a great work. I cannot come down.”

We cannot come down…

Church, you’re doing a great work. You cannot come down. You can’t. You can cry. You can grieve. You can receive comfort. But because the Spirit of God is in you, because you already know what God has said, you’re literally nearly incapable of coming down.

I’m declaring that over you. I’m declaring that over us. I’m declaring that over all leadership today because you are doing a great work. You are utterly incapable of coming down.

“I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop? Will I leave it and come down to you?” So refusing to come down from the important work God has called you to do, even when you’re tempted or threatened by invitation.

Yesterday was a huge invitation…

Huge! Today you’ll have many invitations to come down. Lean into the Father. Lean into Abba. Just stay on your assignment of intimacy. Just stay on your assignment of keeping your eyes on Him. He’ll bring you through the grief and the sorrow and the confusion. And He will get you to the place of purpose. Because we have come too far to come down.

We also maintain perspective. We recognize that engaging with our enemies on their terms halts progress. Fear is the enemy’s terms. Hedging from truth are the enemy’s terms. It is a part of the enemy’s strategy to do us harm, to do our country harm. We stay with the plan.

You know, I wonder, too, with many of us, it’s happened to me so many times where we can be tempted just to withdraw from God or to withdraw from what He said. Or to wonder, “Okay, maybe this isn’t what He said.” No, it is what He said. And we’re sticking with what He said.

Why should I come down into the valley of “Oh no” and leave my assignment and be with you, fear, doubt and unbelief. There is no good reason other than death and fear and doubt and unbelief.

It’s too expensive.

We stay on the offense. The best defense is victory. We stay on our assignment.

So let’s go to Nehemiah six…

“Now when Sanballat and Tobiah and the rest of our enemies heard that I had built the wall and that there was no breach left in it. Although at the time, I had not set up the doors and the gates.”

Now that is poignant to me. Bill Johnson has as of late talked about gates being places of praise and revelation. The pearly gates, places of pressure, gates formed by pressure. We’re there right now. When we look at this through the kingdom, we can’t help but want to stay on assignment. You’ll be drawn to it when you see it through the eyes of the kingdom.

Neh. 6:2–3…

“Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, Come, let us meet together in one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they intended to do me harm. 3 And I sent messengers to them, saying, I am doing a great work and cannot come down.”

Isn’t that interesting? He didn’t even do it himself. He didn’t have time. He’s like, “No. You go tell him I’m not coming. Why should the work stop while I leave to come down to you? They sent to me four times this way and I answered them the same.”

How many opportunities did you have yesterday to go to the valley of Ono? I would suggest more than four. Maybe 40. Right?

But here’s what’s so cool. The church rallied. Did you notice how quickly we rallied? Well, we’re just going to keep moving.

Verse 5. So the enemy goes to him four times and he stays consistent, but then the enemy tries a different tactic. Listen to this. Sounds very much like today.

“Then Sanballat sent his servant to me again the fifth time with an open letter.” Not even private. Huh? Wide open for all to see. “In it was written: It is reported among the neighboring nations, and Gashmu says it, that you and the Jews plan to rebel…” Name calling. “…therefore you are building the wall, that you may be their king, according to the report. 7 Also you have set up prophets to announce concerning you in Jerusalem, There is a king in Judah. And now this will be reported to the [Persian] king. So, come now and let us take counsel together.”

So basically the first four times didn’t work. So then he creates a rumor, a rumor that questions his motive. And he lets him know that other people in authority that could harm you believe the rumor. And then he’s very cunning and says, “Let’s take counsel together. Let me help you with this rumor.”

Sound familiar? It’s in the Word.

“And I replied to him…” I love this. “No such things as you say have been done. You are inventing them out of your own heart and mind, for they all wanted to frighten us, thinking their hands will be so weak that the work will not be done. But now strengthen my hand.”
