Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Worship leader…
Good morning, everybody. Always good to be back together, to worship and to pray. And we consider you here with us. Even if you’re joining online. There’s no distance in the Spirit of God. So thankfully, Jesus didn’t make any qualifications when He said we’re two or three are gathered. He didn’t say it had to be in person, right? I think He knew this day was coming where we’d need this digital age. So we are just grateful that you are here with us joining your heart with ours.
Psalm 54:6 in the Passion says this…
“Lord, I will offer myself freely and everything I am I give to you. I will worship and praise your name O Lord for it is precious to me.”
There’s a prayer that goes with it, and it goes like this…
“Lord, unite my will to yours.
Spirit, soul, and body, I consecrate myself to you that nothing will ever turn my heart away.
Remove the barriers I have unknowingly created.
Burn away everything that is contrary to your Holy Spirit.
I want every moment of my life to revolve around loving you.
Whether in worship or in my daily tasks, guide me into a lifestyle of adoration.
I want to be continually aware of you, the beginning and end of all I think and do.
No matter what is happening around me, may I be eternally drawn to your presence.
In you, I lack nothing.
Your very name is power and majesty.
Your presence is peace, joy, and full provision for every situation.
I want to experience the fullness of your love, to worship you in spirit and truth with unrelenting, unyielding devotion.
May everything I do flow from a heart of pure and holy devotion.
I give you the pleasing offering of my life.
Pastor Heather prayed…
We welcome you, Holy Spirit.
So we quiet our minds now… whatever that is, just lay that down now. Lay it down. Quiet your mind in His presence. Slow your pace.
He says, “Be still and know that I’m God.” Be still.
And stillness is the art of being fully present in the moment. So not just a stillness of your body, but a stillness of your mind, of your soul, of your heart.
So picture a lake in the morning and the stillness when it’s smooth. There’s no ripples. There’s no waves.
So picture your soul like that now. Smooth and still. And be fully present in this moment now.
He is the great “I am.” He is now. He is in this very moment. And sometimes we want to race to the next thing, to the next moment, to the next word. But just stay in this moment now with Him. Beholding His presence, His glory, His peace, His love.
There’s so much as we just sit in His presence… and that’s why He says, “Be still and know that I am God.”
And so there’s a knowing in that stillness that He is God and we are not.
And we don’t have to race out in front of Him. We don’t have to strive and try to make ourselves known. We just stay in His presence.
We humble ourselves. We quiet ourselves. And we sit still and know that He is God and He has everything in control. Whether it feels like it or looks like it or not, He has everything in control.
So just release now. Whatever that is, that’s worrying you… that thought that’s occupying your time, that thing that you’re trying to fix… just give it to Him now, whatever that is.
Because as we behold Him, we become more like Him.
Pastor Heather encourages to be still…
So let’s do that now. Let’s take some time here. We’re just going to be still.
As Kathy continues to minister the presence through the keys, you just be still, know that He is God. And listen. Listen for His voice. Don’t rush what’s next. How much time do we have? Just be still and listen to what He wants to tell you this morning.
2nd Corinthians 3:17 in the Amplified Classic…
“Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, emancipation from bondage, freedom, and all of us as with unveiled face because we continued to behold in the Word of God as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor, and from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the spirit.”
So as we just make room for Him, as we sit in His presence, as we behold Him, as we behold His glory, we are transfigured. We’re changed.
Think of how beautiful that is.
Like we’re just beholding Him. And as we behold Him, we’re becoming Him.
We become more like Him just sitting in His presence, just glorifying Him, just making room.
And that’s the key is making room for Him to move. Making time. Making our hearts, making our minds, our souls still in His presence.
We make space for Him…
And I think sometimes, we want the Lord to come crashing in and just fix and do and move. And there are times that He does that. But also there are times where… I would say more so times where we have to make that space. We have to take that time. We have to pause everything around us and still our hearts and still our minds and make a space for Him to move in and behold His presence.
You think of the upper room, what were they doing? They were waiting. They made space in that room. They went to that room, and they sat and they waited and they were in one accord, praying, waiting on the Lord.
And so if you are wanting Him…
Well, if you’re just wanting to experience His presence, first of all, or there’s some things in your life where you are needing Him to move, to change, to do, get in a place where you can make space for Him to move. Get into a space where you can behold His presence, behold His glory, and be changed and transfigured to be more like Him.
Remind yourself that you’re seated with Him in heavenly places. You know all those things. When we can quiet ourselves and get to that place where our eyes are fully on Him and not on the problem, or not on what we need from Him, but just Him, just God, His presence and everything that comes along with it. Because in His presence is fullness of glory. Fullness of joy. Fullness of whatever. Fill in the blank. All those fruits of the Spirit come when we are still in His presence.
Prayed…
And so Father, we thank you. We make room for you in our lives, in our homes, in our days, in our workplaces, in our churches.
We make room for you, but mostly just in our hearts.
Father, we make space in our hearts now. We push out things that are competing for our attention.
We push those things out now and we make space.
We put you back on the throne of our hearts where you belong long.
That space is only for you, Father, nothing else, only for you.
You are our one desire. Thank you, Father, for such a peaceful presence today.
Even now, you’re ministering to hearts. You’re continuing to minister.
You’re showing people now how you’re present, how you’re occupying things in their lives.
You’re in spaces, in places, and you’re doing things, whether they see it or not.
For nothing is impossible with you. Nothing is impossible.
So we quiet our minds and we remind our souls, nothing is impossible with God.
We can do all things through Christ just strengthens us.
We thank you, Father, for just refreshing waves of your Spirit… just washing over us.
Yeah, we receive that. We receive your peace, your refreshing, restoring, reenergizing.
Filling, filling, filling to overflowing.
But in order to fill, there has to be space for you to fill… there has to be room for you to fill us.
So we do that now. We make room. You just clear out the clutter.
And we’re just like that widow that was grabbing all the containers she could to be filled with oil.
So we do that now. We make room. We make our hearts containers, available to you, to fill us with the oil of the Holy Spirit, the oil of joy, the oil of peace.
More containers. Just keep making space for Him.
We can never make too much space for Him. There’s always more.
The Lord says…
How much are you hungry for? Because I’ll meet your expectancy. And then some. But how big is your expectancy? What are you expecting to see? What are you expecting of Me? Where are you making room for Me to move, to change, to come in and to rearrange?
I hear the Lord saying…
“Yes, make room, make room, make room, make room. If your oil feels low, it’s because you’re not making room for Him to pour into you everything that you need. So take inventory now. How many containers do you have in the cabinet of your heart? Are they empty? Are they ready to be filled? It’s time to do some cleaning, some decluttering now. And there’s no condemnation. Don’t get into shame or guilt. You just take inventory now. What are some things on the shelves of your heart that need to be cleaned out? that need to be thrown away? that need to be put away or rearranged?
Maybe you have some things in the most important place that aren’t supposed to be there. Maybe there’s some cares and worries that are taking up space.”
Prayed…
Give those to Him now.
A clearing. A clearing. A clearing. And a making room. Making room.
Places for Him to fill. Making room.
We do that, Father, we make room. We clear away the clutter.
We quiet ourselves and we purpose to make room to be still, to know that you are God and to make spaces and room and places for you to move in our lives, in our families, in our church.
Father, we thank you for your patience, for your mercy is good and it endures forever.
Thank you, Father, for your mercy and your gentle reminders of the Holy Spirit of words you’ve given us, things that you’ve put in our hearts that maybe we’re waiting on, maybe we’re procrastinating, maybe we’re afraid.
You give us grace and you equip us to do everything you’ve called us to do.
Everything you’ve spoken to our hearts, you bring those things to remembrance.
I thank you that your Word is like seed, and it never goes dormant. It’s just waiting to be planted in fertile ground, the fertile ground of our hearts.
So thank you, Father. You remind us of seeds. You remind us of dreams of words that you’ve spoken to us that maybe we’ve just put in a little envelope on the shelf. It’s time to plant those things. It’s time to nurture those things.
So remind us, Holy Spirit, remind us.
And so, yes, we make space in the garden of our hearts for those seeds.
Now those words, those things, those plans waiting to be opened, waiting to be planted, waiting to bloom, waiting to sprout up, waiting to be watered and nurtured.
So we thank you, Father. Bring those things to our remembrance now.
We thank you, Father, for this precious time today.
Thank you for this time. And as always, we give you all the honor, all the glory, all the praise in Jesus’ name, amen.
