Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Sister Jeannie…

Good morning. I’ve said this many times, and I’ll say it again. The most powerful people on the planet are just right over here. Thank you for coming to prayer.

God’s character…

I was talking to a friend last night and she was dealing with a few things and we were encouraging each other and she said, “Thank you so much for saying that and just speaking of God’s character.” And it just kind of fell out of my mouth. I said, “Well, He can’t help but be who He is.”

And He can’t!

He is who He is and He’s always good and He always comes through. And really, that’s the way He set it up. His word is true. He watches over it to perform it. It is absolutely impossible for Him not to come through for you. It’s impossible!

Defeat with God is impossible…

So if there’s anything that’s impossible, it would be that. Defeat for the believer when the believer agrees with God is impossible. Defeat is impossible when we agree with God. And even today we’re going to kind of talk a little bit and prove in scripture that as long as we stay in conversation with God, even when we don’t agree with Him, we just stay in conversation with Him. He leads us to the right place and defeat becomes impossible, yet again.

Prayed…

Father, we thank you so much that defeat is impossible when we stay in conversation with you.

Gideon stayed in the conversation…

We’re going to reference Gideon today. We’re also going to start with Corinthians. But Gideon, when God came to him, he was surrounded by oppression. And even when God came to him, he said, “What do you mean I’m a mighty man of valor? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” But here’s the beauty of Gideon. He did not stop the conversation. He continued his conversation. His theology wasn’t perfect. I mean, he fleeced God at, I don’t know, however many times. He kept doubting Him; however, he stayed in conversation. And God led them to victory. Impossible victory!

What helped Gideon believe?

In fact, isn’t it just like God to say to Gideon already completely in the middle of the weight of oppression, doing things that he could have done during the day at night because he was terrified saying, “Well, if you really want to know what’s going to happen, go down to the enemy’s camp and see what the enemy is saying about you.” And what I find the most poignant about this story is that was what helped Gideon believe. It wasn’t everything that God did. It was what he heard the enemy say about him. Then Gideon thought, “We’re going to win because the enemy says we are.”

God does not have insecure thoughts about you…

But God in His mercy, God in His goodness, knowing Gideon’s heart, confident in who God was for Gideon… You know God has never one time had an insecure moment about you. Not one time! Not one time has He thought, “Yeah, I don’t know if Jeanie’s going to come through.” Because He knows His ability to get through to me. As long as I stay in the conversation with Him, He always knows how to touch my heart.

Stay in conversation with God and He’ll bring you to victory…

Just stay in the conversation with Him and He will bring you to victory. He will bring you to faith. Doesn’t it say we rely on the faith of God? How much confidence did God have to have in His relationship with Gideon to know that Gideon would go down to the enemy’s camp to overhear what the enemy had to say about Gideon, to overhear the dream that God gave the enemy about the enemy’s utter defeat?

This is Mike, my husband. Have you ever had an insecure thought about me?

Mike: The Lord is good.

Jeannie: That would be a resounding “yes.” Have we survived it? Of course! But God never one time has doubted your ability to obey Him. Not one time. So why would you doubt your ability to obey Him? Could that be pride? Could that be carnality? Yes.

Prayed…

So, Father, I thank you so much for today. I thank you so much for right now. Right now, your goodness, your thoughts toward us, which are thoughts of victory, of strength, of fortitude, of love that is the greatest of all things, which is actually who you actually are, which is love. And I thank you today that as you minister those things to us, we walk out of here transformed and it just leaks out of us wherever we go. Thank you for that Father.

God knows we’re prepared for what’s coming…

So I’m going to kind of pick up where I left off a month ago when we were leading prayer. We’ve been out of town, so it’s good to see everyone. You know what’s coming is what God knows we’re prepared for. God knows we’re prepared for what’s coming. But what’s coming is so far beyond all that we could ask or think that it could be, we will be tempted to believe we’re not ready for it. But we’re not going to give into that temptation.

Seeing God’s character in the story of Gideon…

Just like Gideon. When God came to Gideon, he was hiding. He was oppressed and had been for a long time. And right away he said… I mean, an angel came to visit him and immediately he disagreed with the angel. And then when God told him to take down the altar of Baal, he did it at night because he was afraid. But the story of Gideon has less to do with Gideon and everything to do with God’s character. It never says that God turned away from Gideon. This is that God stayed in the conversation as long as Gideon did.

You have been prepared for what is coming…

And really what’s coming, it’s vital that we stay in the conversation with our Father because it is going to be, and already is, far and above all we could ask or think. What God is up to is something that we’ve never seen before in Living Word, in Minnesota, in the Twin Cities, in your family, in everything you put your hand to… you have been prepared. And when it comes, you will walk it out with Him. But don’t be caught off guard. If like Gideon, you wonder if you’re qualified. Because you’re not! In Him, you are.

We’re going to get in the Word and we’re going to read in Corinthians. And then we’re going to pray it out, and then we’re going to reference Gideon unless Holy Spirit changes His mind or leads us a different direction.

1st Corinthians 2:6 in the Passion translation…

“However, there is a wisdom that we continually speak of when we are among the spiritually mature.” Did you know that’s you? “However, there’s a wisdom that we continually speak of when we are among the spiritually mature. It’s wisdom that didn’t originate in this present age, nor did it come from the rulers of this age.” Are you ready for this? “Who are in the process of being dethroned?”

Have we already been seeing that? Yes! Why? Because we have been agreeing with God. Because we truly are the most powerful people on the planet. Because we hinder the plans of the enemy. And we are entering into a time of acceleration and momentum.

“Instead, we continually speak of this wonderful wisdom that comes from God hidden before now in a mystery. It is His secret plan destined before the ages to bring us into glory.”

God’s plan for you was decided before you were born…

So did you know His plan for you happened before you were even conceived and has been playing out the entire time beyond the monotony, beyond the bills, His plan has been playing out for you the entire time. And just speaking of bills, past due accounts, due dates… Think about this. The only time that Jesus taught the disciples how to pray was when it was in reference to bringing heaven to earth. Isn’t that interesting?

“On earth as it is in heaven…” Bringing provision… heaven’s provision to earth. That’s when He taught the disciples how to pray. So we could be convinced of God’s provision. We could be convinced that it’s on Jesus’ mind, that it matters to Jesus, that God’s provision is our reality.

Declaration…

In fact, I just declare that right now. Heaven’s provision—your reality. Heaven’s provision—Living Word’s reality.

Father, we agree with that. We receive that. We put the pressure of the Word on our reality that heaven’s provision is what we walk in. It’s what we operate in, that you bless the work of our hands. The force of the blessing overcomes every hindrance, every delay, every dismay. The force of the blessing proclaimed in and through and to this present-day reality.

Loaves and fishes reality for the kingdom of God, for God’s people. The gold coin in the fish… supernatural provision that only our prayer language could speak out.

The readiness of the church. We have become so accustomed to keeping our eyes on you that we know what to do. We can see the way through. We can see the way to… on earth at Living Word in the chapel and our government in Minnesota, in the Minnesota State legislature… all hidden things revealed. Evil dealt with. Justice swift, God’s goodness and His plan. Overtaking the land. Resources in the kingdom. Kingdom people… kingdom thinkers… kingdom doers… kingdom partnerships… kingdom favor… the force of His favor. Today.

So many of us have been in a place of… Honey, can you come up here? We’re just going to do a little role play. Okay, put your hands on my shoulders and like kind of press. Okay. So he is like oppression. Okay? He’s not, but he is for now. And I am in like the dark, totally terrified, but I’m doing what I need to do for provision and oppression and here comes the angel of God.

And I’m like, “What? Who are you? You’re telling me…” Okay, sit down. “You’re telling me I’m a woman of valor and that I’m mighty?” Sorry. Could you come up again? And I’m like, “Excuse me, don’t you see this oppression? Where have you been this whole time?”

Okay, give him a medal. Give the man a medal.

We all have areas of our lives like that. Where we look to the oppression and then we hear what God is saying, but we’re like, “Um, excuse me. Don’t you see this? Hello? Don’t you see this?” And God is saying this and you’re like, “eh.”

But here’s what Gideon did…

He stayed in the conversation even though the oppression was getting to him, even though there was some fatigue with the oppression, even it had been going on for a long time. But he stayed with the conversation. That’s what he did.

And yeah, what would’ve been the ideal situation? “You said it. I believe it. Let’s go.” Right?

And by the way, we have all had those moments in our walks with God. “You said it, I believe it, let’s go!”

But then we also have moments of “You said it. Um, I believe it, but I need to keep the conversation going because I’m tired.” Right? But it works out. That’s the deal. His character will bring you through.

Heidi Baker’s coming this weekend…

And she’s had many opportunities to just stay in the conversation with God and rely on Him with every step, with every moment. What is upon us, that will be required. Because the breakthrough that’s upon us will require us to rely on Him even more. It’s not the kind of breakthrough where you can just relax and take it in. It’s the kind of breakthrough that you’re going to be taking more and more ground and crying out for more and more wisdom, more and more energy, more and more strength. And He will carry you through it.

An overcoming, overflowing, abundant supply…

But that is what we’ve been crying out for and believing God for in the chapel. Do you think that when you pray by the Spirit, you’re praying just to get by? Do you think that that’s what your prayer language is praying? Is just getting by in heaven? No! It’s an overcoming, overflowing, abundant supply.

We are in 1st Corinthians 2:9…

“Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine. These are the many things God has in store.” So when this comes, it’s going to be something you’ve never even heard of before. Miracles. Signs and wonders. Happenings. Things you’ve never even heard of before. Things that you’ve never even had discovered before until it shows up. It’ll put a demand on your relationship with God.

It’s time to see yourself prepared for what’s coming…

I am telling you it’s time to prepare. It’s time to see yourself prepared for what He has coming to you, because it is ridiculously massive. And this is not a negative statement. You’ll be tempted to believe you’re not ready for it. That you haven’t prayed enough, that you haven’t been in the Word enough. None of it’s true. Because what is upon us has never been discovered or heard of before.
