Good morning, everyone. Happy Monday. Glad to have you with us in the chapel. My name is Ken, and I’m one of the pastors on staff here at Living Word. We are honored to pray with you this morning. Thank you for your supply of the spirit.
You are significant in the kingdom of God…
Don’t let the enemy talk you out of your significance in the kingdom and in the work of God in this hour. Your prayers, your voice, your faith, your faithfulness speaks and is a supply to the heart and the plan of God. Never forget that.
We are here to shape and effect change…
This world can oftentimes get us to think that we’re irrelevant or just some blip on radar of the world or something. But the truth of the matter is, you and I were appointed to be here to show up now, in this moment of history. As I often say, we’re not called to react to history, but we’re here to shape and affect and change and shift the course of history. And that’s what’s going to happen this morning. Amen.
We have the opportunity to change some things…
We have the opportunity through prayer and us just showing up to say, “Lord, what’s up? What would you have us to do? What do you want to accomplish in us and through us today that the world might experience your presence and your goodness and what you have intended for us?”
And so that’s what’s going to occur this morning. I am convinced of that. If you’re tuning in online right now, or maybe you’re watching this a month later or two months later or whatever the case might be, you have connected by divine direction, by the Holy Spirit, and you’re going to receive something and you’re going to engage in something that’s going to make a difference today, right in this moment, whatever moment it might be.
Those who hunger will be filled…
Well I just want to remind you of a simple but yet profound passage of scripture found in the Gospel of Matthew 5:6. It states, “Jesus said, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…” (I like to translate that to mean “the rightness of God”) “For they shall be filled.”
Some modern translations say “they shall be satisfied.” So it’s really simple, but the truth still remains of the importance for us to hunger and to pray for hunger, and to take action to feed our hunger. The fact that you’re online or in this chapel to pray is an answer to the opportunity to hunger and thirst for the rightness of God.
And I believe your hunger is going to grow right now, even during the next few minutes. But one thing is for certain, God intends for your hunger for the rightness of God, for the justice of the Father, for His purposes, for what’s in His book of destiny for you and others, that you will see that materialize, that become reality even today. Amen. Hallelujah.
Excerpts from Dr. Yonggi Cho’s book, “Prayer That Brings Revival”
And I share that because I want to read a short segment of texts from Dr. Yonggi Cho, who has now graduated in heaven a few years ago. He pastored the largest church in the world. That’s what he was known for. He has a book entitled “Prayer That Brings Revival: Interceding for God to move in your family, church, and community.” I want to read a segment as a point of reflection before we pray and intercede this morning.
Tim Sheets on the frequency of earthquakes…
So if you would just listen in and just let the Spirit of God minister some things to you. I want to say this first though. I know Tim Sheets recently shared some things about a prayer meeting they had in their church in Ohio recently. And about the time they were interceding and worshiping at their church, there was an earthquake reported in Ohio. And there’ve been earthquakes recently showing up on geologic surveys and in many places, including New York and California. And Nevada has had just a flurry of earthquakes recently. Nothing massive, but many that were significant. Three, four, or five on the Richter scale. Certainly on the Ring of Fire in the Pacific has been lit up quite often here recently. And in many other places around the world.
They are signs…
And I believe, without getting too spiritual about it, that is a sign. Sometimes there are natural signs of what God is up to. And we’ve been praying about shakings, right? He is up to not just shaking the earth, but it’s a sign that He is shaking the church, shaking us so that we might awaken. So that the glory of God might come forth in the midst of this generation. Things are more serious and more late than we realize. Hence why it’s so important for us to pray. Amen.
So, I believe God is trying to get our attention today. That He’s up to something and it’s big. It’s not small. It’s unprecedented. And it’s larger than our thoughts can put ideas to. So know that. And that you’re a part of that. So let me read this from “Prayer That Brings Revival” by Dr. Yonggi Cho.
Dr. Cho writes…
“Are you tired of powerless prayers that you hear coming from your lips? Are you ready for the church, your church, to enter into a powerful ministry in prayer so that your neighborhood, city, and state knows the power that resides in your church? If this is your desire, and you will do anything and pay any price, then get ready for God to dramatically change your life and ministry bringing you into a new dimension of power.”
Anybody want a new dimension of power?
I desire that. I don’t desire just to get by or to be some random blip on God’s radar screen. I want to show up and be fully vested and fully able to manifest through my life what I’m called to manifest, what I’m called to bring about. You are called to not just get by and consume, but you and I are called to manifest, to bring forth, to give birth.
Prayer gives birth…
That’s what prayer does. Prayer gives birth. Prayer brings into reality in this earth realm what’s only right now in the heavenly realm. You’ve heard me say it before, but prayer takes from another realm and implements it or brings it into this realm, the seen realm. That’s what God has called us to do in the realm of prayer. Yes, for your family. And aren’t you glad that He does that in your family and in your finances. And it’s okay to ask for those things that you need and to intercede for things that are personal. God is on it. And He’s actively producing the reality of His promise and purpose in your personal life.
There is a destiny to be fulfilled in your life…
But I just want you to know the Lord wants to stretch us on the inside. He wants to enlarge our thinking even so that we realize that we are called to something that is greater than ourselves. There is destiny to be fulfilled in this moment of history. There is destiny to be fulfilled in and through your life this week, this month, in the remaining days of 2025. And there must be an intensity. There must be an urgency… not to strike out on our own and do something in our own ability. But rather by pursuing Him and letting our attention be on Him and letting our desire be toward the Lord and our pursuit and in our hunger. And sometimes that looks like pulling back from natural endeavor and spending time waiting in His presence.
But make no mistake about it. When you let yourself be available to God the Holy Spirit, He will empower you. He will inspire you. He will grant prayers and faith decrees that you will utter, that will set in motion some new things this week.
Can I prophesy in morning prayer…
Starting today on this Monday, September 2025. I’m not trying to be the “hype pastor” here or something. I’m just saying this is reality. God is up to something big and He’s saying, “Hey, do you want to be a part of it? I have an offer. I have an opportunity. I want to work not just in you, but through you. And it’s bigger than just your little old deal.”
“Yes, Lord, I’m available…”
He’s going to take care of yours and my little old deals. But He wants us to open up and say, “Lord, yes. What is it that you want to do in me and through me? I am yours, Lord. I am available, Lord. I am hungry, Lord. I am unwilling to see masses of people go headlong into the flames of hell. I want to see revival. I want to see Gen X awakened and know a relationship with you like I’ve known you.”
Glory to God. Glory to God.
We’re talking right now at this point in time on God’s timetable, God has on His mind is the reaping of the nations and the multitudes. Not just few thousand. But millions and even billions of people that have yet to profess the name of Jesus. That’s what’s on the heart of the Father.
So lift your eyes…
Yours and my salvation is nearer than when we first believed, as the Bible records. Lift your eyes today up off of your problem, off of the insufficiency, off of the trouble, off of the little aggravations and the harassments that attack our souls. Lift our eyes to…
The author,
The continuer,
The finisher of our faith,
The head of the church,
The bright and morning star,
The one who was and is and is to come,
The one who holds you and me and all of the world in the palm of His hand.
God will take care of your deal…
Let’s lift our eyes to Him today and see that there’s something far greater He wants to do through us if we’ll avail ourselves to His Word and to prayer and in the pursuit of knowing Him and in the pursuit of walking out the steps that He grants for you today, and the prayers and the decrees He has you say today in the midst of taking up this high and heavenly and holy calling of prayer and obedience to Him. In the wake of that, without even you focusing on it or trying to figure it out or be concerned or worried about it, God will take care of your little old deal and my little old deal. Maybe it’s not so little because it’s big to us. Well understand it’s big to Him too. And He’s going to take care of whatever that is and your situation.
Let’s lean into Him today…
Call for a sense of urgency. Pray that we would have a noble spirit, one that recognizes and discerns the time and the season that you individually would recognize the time and the season, and the opportunity that’s before you today, that we would grow and expand in our understanding from a standpoint of revelation, and even in our thinking, who we are, what we’ve been called to, what we’ve been assigned to, the real reality of the scope of what God has in mind for us individually, has in mind for Living Word, has in mind for the body of Christ.
God has in mind a fresh outpouring of heaven’s fire and heaven’s miraculous glory for this church, for your church, for this generation. Maybe we’ve had some good days and some good years, years ago at Living Word or in your household or in your church. But God has in mind a whole other generation. So the seeds that have been planted in you and me maybe decades ago, those seeds aren’t meant to diminish or be aborted, but rather multiply within our spirits right now. That we would take those same seeds and pray those seeds of revival and pray those seeds of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the miraculous-ness of encounter with Him. Pray those seeds over our children and our grandchildren, and our neighbors and coworkers, and those in our cities and nations.
Kenneth E. Hagin warned us…
It’s not to stop with us. Kenneth E. Hagin warned us toward the end of his earthly life and ministry and said, “You must take this move of the Spirit. You must take what you have received and what has profoundly transformed you and your journey to the next generation.” And he warned, “Otherwise, it may be lost.”
It’s not going to be lost on my watch.
It’s not going to be lost on your watch.
It doesn’t matter what you feel or what’s presently going on. What’s in the heart of God, that’s what we’re going to pray by faith, regardless of how we feel or what’s presently happening around us in the natural realm. There is a shaking going on in the earth. Volcanoes are erupting. Earthquakes are becoming increasingly frequent. And they already were quite frequent. But it’s already topped that.
It’s a sign!
I believe that there’s a stirring in the earth right now, that what is happening naturally, that are showing up on the radar screens and on geologic surveys and on social media platforms and in the news, it is a sign that something spiritually is breaking loose and is beginning and about to show up on planet earth from a spiritual standpoint.
Make no mistake about it!
The enemy will not have the last say before the breaking forth of Jesus in the eastern sky to catch the church. God will have the final say. His Word will fully come to pass. Yes, for you and yours. But also for Living Word. His prophetic intentions for America will unfold. That’s a prayer right there. …will come to fullness in America. From sea to shining sea. We declare the church of the Lord Jesus Christ will walk out the full extent of her call in this generation, in America, in Europe, in Asia, in Africa, in Central and South America, in Australia, in Canada, in Japan.
Choose to pay attention to the signs…
So just let your spirit, your inner life pay attention today. Choose to pay attention to the signs that are around you. I quoted this, and I need to go back and find this gentleman’s name. But a couple years ago, I was listening to a secular radio show. And he’s an author and a national-known speaker. He said, “We live in a world literally filled with signs.” The world is paying attention to the fact there are signs. How much more ought we as followers of Jesus recognize the signs. It’s not time to coast. It’s not time to live on fumes spiritually. Rather, it’s time to lean in, to pray into the season. You take steps through your prayer life, through your prayer languages.
Let me get back to this excerpt I was reading from his book “Prayer That Brings Revival.”
He goes on to say…
“There is no reason miracles shouldn’t be taking place in your church. There’s no reason sinners shouldn’t be drawn to the Holy Spirit in your church. It has been reported to me that one day, Charles Finney, was part of one of the great awakenings here in America many years ago. It says, Charles Finney’s train passed through Hooten New York. The Holy Spirit fell on the sinners in the community. Men in bars fell on their knees under the convicting power of the Holy Spirit and asked Jesus Christ to save them. Just because Finney’s train went through a town! This was 150, 200 years ago. How much more is going to be and is possible in this time in this generation at the wrapping up or the culminating of all things at the end of this age?
If the Holy Spirit gave Charles Finney such power, should not He give us the same kind of powerful ministry? Finney rarely shared the key of his power. However, a reporter decided to spy on him. The newspaperman finally realized that the source of Finney’s power was hours he spent in prayer.
“I am convinced that in Korea,” which is where Dr. Cho had his church, “we have seen just the beginning of the revival God has promised us. Although it is known throughout the nation that God is working in our church, we have not seen the power of God as we shall in the future if we are faithful. The power of God is not only seen in healings, deliverances from evil spirits and massive conversions to Christianity, it is also seen in the open heaven that is over our country.”
Pray for an open heaven…
“That’s what we need to be praying about for America. An open heaven. What do I mean by this? When a country has an open heaven, there is a freedom and spiritual liberty in preaching the Gospel, the level of faith is high. One does not find a great deal of spiritual opposition in a country that has an open heaven. In some countries, it is difficult to preach because there’s so much spiritual opposition. Satanic forces that oppose the Gospel are strong and there isn’t much faith. This makes it difficult for those of us who minister the Word of God. In Korea, I find it more easy than almost in any other place in the world. When I preach the Word of God, sinners immediately respond for salvation. Why do we have this spiritual atmosphere? The answer is prayer.”
