Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
[The first few minutes of Morning Prayer did not record…]
“… and only God to make sure that the His kingdom comes and that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Now I thought this verse was timely for me this morning. It just resonated in me. But it’s from Isaiah 62:6. It says in the Passion, “Jerusalem, I have stationed intercessors on your walls who will never be silent, day or night. You, reminders…” One translation says “you remembrancers…” In other words, essentially, the essence of prayer is that we are reminding God of His promises. Reminding Him of what He has already said He wants to do in our lives, in our state, in our nation, and in the world. So it says, “You reminders of Yahweh, take no rest and tirelessly give God no rest until He firmly establishes Jerusalem. And makes her the praise of all the earth.”
God said to keep Him in remembrance of what He said He would do…
So today, let me encourage you to keep God reminded of what He said He would do in His Word for you, for that set of circumstances that you’re in, for America, for whatever situation He’s assigned for you to pray about. We’re to remind Him of what He said He would do. Keep Him in remembrance.
Prayer is the key that unlocks…
Now, there’s something else. I don’t remember where I even got this from, but it has to do with prayer: Prayer is the key that unlocks.
And it says this…
“Prayer is the key that unlocks the resources of heaven so they can be released on planet earth. Prayer is what pushes back the kingdom of darkness. That’s why Jesus said, My house shall be a house… not of good preaching. He said, My house should not be a house of good programs or good singing, not a house of great spotlights and productions, not a house of great cafes, although we should enjoy our cafes and lattes. Jesus said, at the end of the day, My house better be called a house of prayer. That begins with this house. The one you presently occupy.”
In other words, your body, your life. In other words, your household as well, where you live, the address that you reside at, this church. Pastor Lynne has made it very clear, and hopefully, your pastor as well, that you shall be… better be, ought to be… a house of prayer.”
Now, let me share with you one more thing…
I’ve read this maybe in times past. But it’s a word that came many years ago through Brother Kenneth Hagin in regard to the importance of prayer. And I think it’s good to kind of stir ourselves up regarding it. Luke 18:1 states that men, women ought always to pray to not grow weary, lose heart, faint, or give up.” Why is that? Because God endeavors to follow through on what you prayed about. But He needs us to keep Him in remembrance.
Brother Hagin writes this about praise…
“As the enemy would endeavor to steal from you the blessings of God. The enemy would endeavor and would and will invade your homes, your lives, your marriages. But to be forewarned is to be forearmed. Intercede against the powers of darkness.”
Pastor Ken interjects…
I’m going to inject this. Make no mistake about it, prayer is not just a useful and productive and effective tool for you and me to receive what God intends for us to take into our lives that He’s prepared for us, but it’s a powerful tool. It’s the opportunity to exercise and function in the powers of the coming world yet in this time.
Why do I say that?
Because the Bible’s very clear that the same power that raised Christ from the dead in the resurrecting work of our Lord dwells within us and prayer connects with that power and both assigns and releases it into situations so that change can come.
There’s far more power that is in you and me than we recognize…
I don’t think we quite realized just how endowed with authority and the right to the use of that power that we are. There’s far more power that is in you and me than we recognize. There’s far more authority to dictate conditions within our realm. This earth realm. Your life realm. Your household realm. Your physical realm. There’s far more authority to deal with things than we give God credit for.
Jesus said all power in heaven and earth has been given unto me, therefore, go in My name. And implied in that is in His authority. Over sickness, over disease, over every form of demonic entity. But the key is for us to recognize that, acknowledge that, and step into that today. You don’t have to wait for Sunday or “some day.” But today is the day of His salvation. Today is the day of answers.
Faith is attracted to movement…
When you move in the spirit, when you make a faith decree, when you lift up holy hands in worship, when you bind, when you loose, when you practice the habit of gratitude, when you take that step of faith even though there are still many unknowns and you don’t know how exactly it’s going to work out from your natural standpoint, faith and the power of God shows up when we move with the Spirit. I believe that’s why you’re here this morning.
Brother Kenneth Hagin goes on to say this…
“Don’t stop in your praying because things seem to change just a little bit. Keep on interceding until the full answer materializes or the entire burden lifts.
Don’t settle for 75% victory.
Don’t settle for 90% or even 99% victory.
Settle for nothing less than a 100% victory and deliverance from darkness.
So that’s a word of encouragement to some of us today…
Don’t pause because content that you’re enjoying on social media that’s conveying the testimony of breakthroughs and revival happening in certain places around the world. Don’t let that cause you to back off. No! We should be encouraged all the more to pray, to intercede, to stand in the gap. That’s what intercession is. It means to stand and represent God’s plan in the midst of what isn’t right and what isn’t happening that God intends to happen.
Prayer accelerates the plan of God…
So we should be encouraged actually when we see things breaking loose, revival breaking out, progress in your situation, all the more pressed down on the accelerator of prayer. Prayer accelerates the plan of God and the promise of God through to victory—100%.
He goes on to say…
“And the end of the age is coming upon this generation. And as a result, the powers of darkness and the forces of evil are rampant as never before. They will be increased in intensity and velocity. And even many Christians will see and look upon these things and say, Well, there’s no use. I guess I’ll throw up my hands in futility and say, Well, I guess it’s all over. We’ll just have to hold on and pray that Jesus will come shortly. For the Devil is about to take over everything. But thus saith the Lord, in this day, I am searching through the body of Christ to enlist soldiers in the army of prayer.”
Come on now. You’re in the army of prayer if you’ve decided to show up to pray in this chapel or on one of our platforms streaming this morning or today.
He said…
“I will raise up a new band. I will raise up a new army that will know how to intercede.” Or you could say, “to stand in the gap.” You could also say “to represent God’s plan in the realm of the spirit, in the midst of nations, in any given situation.”
He goes on to say…
“Who know how to intercede against the powers of darkness. And the light will dispel the darkness and the truth will set men and women free. And the prayer of intercession will break the bands that bind men’s minds and spirits and bodies. Yes, there are those that will learn to take their place and in a hurry. It must be in a hurry. It must come quickly. It must be that they learn and enter in quickly to stand against the forces of darkness and evil that will come against the land, that will come against the church, that will come against your home, that would seek to disrupt and destroy all that is good and that is God and that God has endorsed.
“But the hand of the Lord is upon those who will listen and the urge of God (or the unction of God or the Holy Spirit) is on those who are attentive, and the Spirit of God will help you to pray. After all, He is our coach in prayer. He is the spirit of prayer. Do not try to do it yourself, though there must be labor on your part. At the same time, rest in Him and let the Spirit flow through you like a river, like a mighty wave. Let it flow through you. Give vent to those innermost groanings and let them escape your lips. Take time to get alone and wait. Sometimes not even saying anything, but on the inside of you, there’s an agonizing of flowing out of your human spirit by the Holy Spirit to the Great Spirit, the Father of spirits. And you shall be sustained and you shall be kept. And you and your family and your home shall remain sure and steadfast. And your children shall grow up and be strong and stalwart in the Lord. And they shall have no fear. But you shall intercede for your neighbor here. You shall intercede for your friend over there. You shall intercede for those in the church that have not come to the knowledge of the truth and making sincere prayers or intercession on their behalf.
“So the light will shine. The work of God will go forth. And the work that is to be accomplished in these next few days and years that are just ahead of you will surely come because you were faithful.” And that’s what the Spirit of God is saying.
And he goes on to say…
“Now I want you to close your eyes and lift up your hands and say it and mean it from your heart. And don’t just do it because I’m telling you. Say…
“Lord, I’ll be one of those that will enlist in the army of the Lord and in the army of prayer warriors.
I’ll be faithful.
I will be faithful in prayer.
We’ll be in whatever place you set us in.
But most of all, we’ll be faithful in prayer.
We set ourselves and make a decision this day that we will be one of them that the Spirit of God can depend upon.
Lord, you can depend on us.
Oh Lord, blessed Holy Spirit, you who does live within us, you can depend on us.”
He goes on to say…
“You are to be commended that you recognize the Spirit was endeavoring to move. And so learn to move into your place of prayer. See just ahead, there are some great and glorious things, some marvelous things… In fact, if it were told to some of you, it would be difficult for you to accept. Your mind at this present stage would not allow you to accept it. But just ahead in the realm of the spirit, there are some great and glorious and marvelous and wonderful things. In fact, all of those adjectives don’t really do it justice or don’t really describe it. They do not even begin. That is just the tip of what is really to take place. But that cannot take place without you as an individual taking your place in the realm and arena of prayer.”
Prayed…
And so, Father, we thank you this morning for your great plan for us, for the church.
We realize, Lord, that your intention right now is that the church and that us as individuals would catch our invitation, would receive the invitation, which is going out wide and far.
And that invitation is for us to not just observe and stand on the sidelines of this great plan unfolding even in this generation and time in our nation, in this church, but that we would become integral parts of your great plan.
Integral not in just running our race individually, but integral in binding and loosing integral and standing in places of chaos and confusion and bringing order and bringing purpose and bringing healing and bringing the miraculous to bear.
So, Lord, we just lift up our hearts today and we say here we are.
Send us!
