Mary led group in worship…

Pastor Ray shared…

Romans 8:26, “The Holy Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness” or our inability “to know what to pray. For we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the Holy Spirit, what his intent is because the Spirit intercedes and pleads before God on behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will. We are assured and we know that God being a partner in their labor all things work together and are fitting into a plan for good to and for those who love God and are called according to His design and according to His purpose.”

I saw this in brother Hagin’s book, “Tongues: Beyond the Upper Room.”

Dr. T.J. McCrossan, author of Bodily Healing and the Atonement, a noted Greek scholar and university professor, pointed out that the word “helpeth” in the phrase “likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities” actually comes from three different Greek root words. One root word means “to take hold together; the second means “with”; and the third means “against.” So this phrase could literally read, “Likewise the Spirit also taketh hold together with us against.” That means the Holy Spirit takes hold together with us in prayer against the obstacles and hindrances we encounter in life.

Let me give you an example in the natural to illustrate the scriptural word “helpeth.” Suppose I were standing on a church platform, and after the service I wanted the piano to be moved off the platform onto the sanctuary floor. I might tell the congregation, “I’d like eight of you men to please stay after we dismiss and help us move this piano down on the floor.”

What would I mean by the word “help” in this case? I’d mean, “We want you eight men to take hold together with us against the weight of that piano and set it down there on the floor.”

That’s what this word “helpeth” means in verse 26. The Holy Spirit helps us in our infirmities or our shortcomings in prayer. So if we don’t pray—if we don’t take hold first by starting to pray—the Holy Spirit doesn’t have anything to take hold together with us against, because His role is to help us move obstacles!

Pastor Ray continued…

With that in mind, I had it in my heart that instead of praying and confessing anything in English, let’s just begin to pray in other tongues. We have as our directive to start our prayers by lifting up our President and Vice President, the Congress and Senate and all the things going on in our country. I want to increase praying in the spirit, covering things in the spirit. There are a lot of things we know about but there are more things we don’t know about and don’t know how to pray about but the Holy Spirit helps us. We welcome the Holy Spirit and let Him pray through us the things that need to be prayed out this morning in Jesus’ name.

Group prayed in the spirit…

Pastor Ray interjected…

While we’ve been praying, I kept hearing this over and over in my spirit that many of the things that needed to be stopped in our yesterdays have already been stopped, saith the Lord. Many of the things that have tried to come against this nation and many of the things that try to come against the church have already been stopped, saith the Lord. But in your prayers today, by the power of My Spirit, I’m working on the borders of this nation. My son, My daughter, lift up your voices in one accord and let your words be spoken by My Spirit and by My Spirit I will work around the borders of this United States of America. By My Spirit, I’m opening understanding and giving wisdom and shutting things down that needed to be shut down.

Prayed…

We are walking in the spirit… now, now… keys, keys, keys…
