Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Brother DJ…
Good morning, everybody.
I think Hezekiah said “If fig will not grow, no fruits outside, no sunshine.” But he said, “I will praise the Lord. I will not stop praising him.”
There is no name on heaven and earth given unto us to any man can be saved, but the name of Jesus.
I am laughing because I remember this guy. I was working in the restaurant and we’re talking. I said, “Do you want to get saved?” He said, “From what?” That’s the only question I have for him. Do you want to get saved? He’s “from what?” Then I have to explain to him about what saved means.
Talking about a week ago on Friday when we left from here, this guy walked in wearing a T-shirt and not very clean and very down. You can see the man is down. He’s like broken, not speaking right? He wanted this or I don’t know what I want. You can see he’s broken.
We start worshiping. And then I said, “I haven’t seen you before.” He said, “No, I just came from the hospital in St. Louis Park.” He had a heart congestive failure. And then he said he had kidney failure. Then he had a tape put on his feet around, he had water. His feet were swollen with water. So he had many things going on. I saw the opportunity. I see the fate, the man God sent. It’s not all the time we do this, but I went out with him. I say, “You know what? Today is your day.” He said, “Why?” I said, “You came in the right place because it just happened to be…” I was telling the story here how I got saved, how the song was playing, the change my heart, and he was talking about his heart. And I told the story how I get saved and the how the heart… we’re talking about change my heart.
You know what? To be like Him the heart needs to be changed. Get a new heart to be like Him. You’ll become a giver in place of the takers all the time. We are talking about the heart, and we will be praying for the hearts a little bit later. Healing of the heart.
Anyway, so I shared a little bit and I said, “Let’s pray for you.” He doesn’t know anything about Jesus Christ. He doesn’t know anything about healing. He just came from the hospital. So I put my hand and prayed “In the name of Jesus, I ask you to heal his heart, heal his kidneys, heal his feet. Then he will know that you are the Son of God who came to save, heal, and deliver.”
You know what his name was? I asked, “What is your name?” [sounds like “Machand”] Do you know what that means in the Indian language? Butter! Who made your name Butter? So I pray for butter man.
I don’t have to be dramatic. I didn’t have to jump up and down. I just had to call upon the name of the Lord and put my hand on him and say, “Father, this man is your son. Father in the name of Jesus, heal his heart, kidney, feet, and deliver him from this diabetes water issue and everything else he needs. Save him as well.” He stood there calm and received. And I said, “Make sure you come back and give me the good news.” He say “I will.”
And I saw him in the window. He’s walking to his car. He parked really far away. And I saw him from the window. He smiled like he received a million dollars. No man had ever prayed for this man called Butter. Butter. Thank you, Jesus.
Jesus said to lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Did he recover? Yes. He was not down when he left. He got some hope. He had no hope. Now he had hope that is God. His name is Jesus Christ. You can get healed.
He said you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you. We have that power in us. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you’ll be My witness. Everywhere.
There is the power of the Holy Spirit working through us, in us. I was just driving after I talked to the man who just left. He was about to be in Des Moines, Iowa, by now. I was talking to him over the phone about a business thing and so forth. I said, “You know what?” He said, “I got to go in the donut shop.” I hang up the phone. But before I hang up, I started praying for him. “Father, thank you. Keep him safe while he is driving.” He said he can’t even see it was so heavy rain in Iowa. And I prayed, Thank you, Father. Protect him and all that. Before I go to the donut shop. But that’s another story. So we prayed for him and released him. Guess what? Prayer of the righteous man availed much!
He said, “Thank you, DJ.” I said, “I’ll call you back after church. We have an appointment with God at 8:30 at Living World Christian Center.” Appointment with God. This is the hour… appointment with God right here. Hallelujah.
I was just reading this morning how the Lord say, “Oh He give us all things to enjoy.” Hallelujah.
There’s no condemnation in Christ Jesus. There’s no shame or guilt. “You miss this. I miss that. Or I didn’t get up early. Oh man, I didn’t go to church.” There’s no shame or guilt. Enjoy! He said to rejoice always. I say rejoice. He say, “I give you all things to enjoy.” Hallelujah. And we should enjoy it now. We don’t have to wait for all when our children go on vacation.” “I want to have a this or that.” He said, “Now faith is. Now. Faith is.”
Sister Cindy…
Father, with the blessing from on high, we boldly declare and proclaim that we are the blessed of the Lord. No curse can come near us, can touch us.
That which God has blessed, no man can curse.
We rest in your blessing upon us, so greatly enriching us in everything we set our hands to
Your presence, the veil has been torn from the top to the bottom.
The entrance has been made by the way of the blood of Jesus.
We boldly enter in and declare that we are the blessed of the Lord, highly favored, happy to be envied.
The way has been made… the way has been prepared… every step that we take on this earth, you’ve prepared it before we ever were
You have made every day to be prepared, ready, and filled with every provision from on high, every supply of the spirit, the light of God that increases with every step.
Father, we’re gaining more and more understanding as we walk and live with you, as we learn to live your way.
And fruit appears in our lives… fruit that is to be partaken of … fruit that has seed within it.
Fruit that is low hanging and juicy, and everybody around us is coming to that fruit and partaking and tasting and seeing.
We are your image bearers. We are the ones that carry your presence. We are the ones that carry your seed in fruit form.
Thank you, Father, for all the fruits of our righteousness, which is of Jesus… goodness, kindness, and charity.
I thank you, Father, for the peace of God and for being peacemakers, for the wisdom of God, which is first of all pure, peaceable, full of good fruits and without partiality and without hypocrisy.
We thank you for your ways of being right, your ways of bringing light to every situation that we are always where we are supposed to be, bringing light to every situation. The light in which there is no shadow of turning.
There is just completely everything put in order and made right in the eyes of all that are roundabout.
You came back to this earth when it was in chaos and disorder and you said, let light shine so that there would be order, that everything would be ordered.
You created a garden for us of perfection and love, that we would partake of the right fruit that we would come to know you in the light.
There’s no shadow in that light. There’s no flip side. There’s no other side of the coin.
There’s only goodness in the light of God and there’s only truth and grace
The truth that sets free and the grace that enables us to walk in that truth.
Thank you, Father, for restoring that garden for us, that we might pick up the mantle, that we might go and do what you intended for us to do from the very beginning.
Go out and spread that garden. But it starts within and then it comes without. So the seed of your incorruptible Word, we have become born again by that seed, so we never cease to water. We never cease to come to you, boldly into your presence that you might cultivate, that you might bring to bear all those garden elements in our life that we would be walking epistles read by every man…
That we would be like you, walking out the volume of the book it was written of us.
To do your will, to know and exercise your counsel, to proclaim your wisdom, to make known and to be on display as an image bearer of your glory
