Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Sister Jeannie…

Welcome to prayer this morning.

We were discussing this morning where Holy Spirit is bringing us, and Rob said, “I sense a river.” And I’m telling you, we’re getting in a river of victory this morning!

So, Father, I thank you so much for what you are doing through our voices, through our hands. I thank you that we are being equipped for joy that strengthens, equipped with joy that strengthens vision. And I thank you that you cause us to articulate what it is that you have for us today.

The story of Jacob…

Okay, so we’re going to open up with Genesis 45:26. This is in the New King James and then I’m going to read it from the New Living and the Amplified as well. So this is about when Jacob’s brothers went back to tell Joseph that Jacob was still alive.

“And they told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt.” And Jacob’s heart stood still, because he did not believe them. 27 But when they told him all the words which Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived. 28 Then Israel said, “It is enough. Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

Genesis 45:26 in the New Living translation.

“Joseph is still alive they told him. And he is governor over all the land of Egypt. Jacob was stunned at the news. He couldn’t believe it. But when they repeated to Jacob everything Joseph had told them and when he saw the wagons Joseph had sent to carry him, their Father’s spirit revived. Then Jacob exclaimed, It must be true. My son Joseph is alive. I must go and see him before I die.”

Dream-killers came to destroy the dream…

You know, that’s what’s happening right now. Right? Think about this. God gave Joseph a dream. The dream-killers came to kill the dream. In fact, they even tried killing the one that heard from God. And in the middle of his captivity, in the middle of the thing that the enemy chose to destroy him, he was actually being prepared for that dream to come to pass. And then those that tried to kill the dream were forced to go back and tell others, “Actually, the dream is still alive, and it’s manifested now and it’s working.”

Hope deferred makes the heart sick…

And when the hearers heard that it was still alive and that it was working, even though they were people of God… He was a man of God. Hope deferred challenged the actual manifested evidence that the dream is working. Aren’t we glad that the Word talks about hope deferred? That it makes the heart sick. But desire realized is the tree of life.

You know, even last night when our guest speaker Joseph Morris was talking, he was talking about where we’re at in the coming of Jesus, the shining statement was: He’s not coming back until His glory is massive throughout the earth. So here we are being prepared. Like Joseph. We got the promise. It doesn’t look at all like the promise. Being prepared, continuing to move forward. We see some evidence of His goodness. We hear some good news, and we say, “No, hope deferred says that’s not true.” We see some evidence of His goodness. We hear a promise and our spirit starts to come alive. And we can say, “Uh, no. Hope deferred says it’s not true. I’ve been waiting too long.”

You are in good company…

Let’s read it again. I made you laugh. Actually, it was Holy Spirit that made you laugh. We can laugh about this. Ha… ha… ha. Isn’t it funny that we have allowed hope deferred to cause us to say, “No. The enemy, the enemy…” No. God, it’s coming to pass. There’s too much precedence in the Word. How do we know we’re going to win? Because it’s been so tough. Exactly! Is our enemy acting like someone that’s won? Are they confident? Are they cool and calm and collected? Uh… no! They’re hurrying and scurrying and freaking out. Guess what we’re doing? We’re not going to listen to hope deferred anymore. We have examples. And this was, I’m telling you, like a heart-level hope deferred, crushing, brutal hope deferred praying for the promise. Praying for that promise. Promise comes to pass, and then evil kills it!

But evil never killed it. See, that’s the deal. Think about those times when God promised you something, you knew it was Him, it touched your heart, it made you come alive, and then it looked like the enemy totally crushed it. And he kept reminding you of it, in one event after another would keep reminding you. Even Jacob, when he heard the good news… From what? All 11 of his sons… all of them said, “No, actually, still alive. And by the way, he’s not just still alive. He is taking dominion. He is a boss!”

I mean, it would’ve been enough that he was still alive, but he’s in crutches now. He’s in crutches because he got so beat up and he’s getting his memory back. Because he was so traumatized. None of that! None of that.

Do you realize that? Think about this. Okay? It’s been brutal. And if God’s promises, if His glory comes back, it’s just an eek in a little bit. Maybe it’ll be like the way it was before that I was hoping for.

No…

Well, maybe it’ll come back on crutches. We’ll settle for that. We’ll settle for a limping glory. Or we’ll settle for a glory that at least I’ll be out of debt. Boy, that would be big.

No!

Okay, we’re going to read it again. Okay. Let’s set it up. The ones that were jealous, that were envious. Just like Satan! Actually, before I read that, I’m going to go to a passage that we came across the other day. In Job.

Job 4:12…

This is awesome. This is actually a passage of Eliphaz who is a friend of Job’s. We know about those guys. But he actually is eavesdropping in on Satan. And when we read this passage, it helped me understand more and more what’s going on right now. Job 4:12. Now this is Eliphaz talking to Job.

“Now a word was secretly brought to me, and my ear received a whisper of it.” Does he do that?

“It came to me in a disturbing vision at night.” Does he do that? “When people are in a deep sleep…” Does he try to do things when we’re sleeping? “Fear gripped me and my bones trembled. A spirit swept past my face and my hair stood on end. The spirit stopped, but I couldn’t see its shape. There was a form before my eyes. In the silence, I heard a voice say…”

Okay, I love this. This is what he says…

“Can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone be pure before the Creator? If God does not trust His own angels and has charged His messengers with foolishness, how much less will He trust people made of clay?”

Do you hear the visceral tone of that statement? Basically, what he’s saying is God has no credibility ever since he judged me. How dare God not trust me. I’m an angel.

This is how deceived your enemy is, and this is why he absolutely hates it when you, formed in God’s image which he is not, know that you’re the boss of him. His pride cannot take it. His pride can’t handle it. But this is also why he’s in such a rage, because he is that deceived. He truly believes God is a complete dork for saying to him, “I don’t trust you. You’re out of here.”

Why don’t we decide to believe God?

And know that we have been given authority over the greatly deceived one that absolutely hates us with a visceral jealousy. I’m going to read that once again.

“Can a mortal be innocent before God?” Yeah, a mortal can. Because we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. That’s why. Does he like hearing that? His pride can’t handle it.

“Can anyone be pure before the Creator?” Yeah, I am. Yeah, you are. Because we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. If God does not trust His own angels, He’s trying to discredit God, His judgment, His wisdom. If God does not trust His own angels and has charged His messengers with foolishness, yep, you’re right, He absolutely did for eternity. He did charge you. You are foolish. You are wrong. Do you see this?

So when the Word says, “Draw near to God, resist the devil and he will flee” because when you draw near to God and you’re in Him, he literally cannot handle it because this is where he’s coming from. All of a sudden, him being the liar… like the liar literally flees from the truth.

Joseph is alive and he’s not in crutches…

So going back to Genesis 45, let’s read that again. 45:26. Okay, so think about this. The ones that came out of visceral jealousy, they had to destroy the promises of God. Think about that. And they’re the same ones that now go back to their Father to say, “Oh, by the way, that dream that caused us to be vehemently icky, icky, awful, murderously jealous is actually alive. It’s alive!” The promises of God are alive and operating. Isn’t it just like God for his brothers to have to go back and say it, “Joseph is alive” they told him. And he’s not in crutches. He’s not dealing with PTSD. He’s not blind. That would’ve been good enough, right? But not for God. Not for now. Not for Minnesota. Not for America. Not for the world. Not for His plans and purposes. No! He is governor of all the land of Egypt. Jacob was stunned at the news.

Let us be stunned at what God is doing and believe it and enter into it and get in the river. Let us be stunned at it. Let us let Him astonish us and lean into the astonishment and go with the flow and keep our hands to the plow and not look back.

Hope deferred is being peeled away…

Let’s do that! And let’s help each other do that. Jacob was stunned at the news. He couldn’t believe it. But then think about that. He couldn’t believe it. Hope deferred. Hope deferred is being peeled away. Layer by layer by layer by layer from the church… It’s being peeled away from our hearts. It’s being crushed under our feet by the prince of peace, and we are in our moment today. That situation we call things that are not as though they’re finished. That is the truth.

But when they repeated to Jacob everything Joseph had told them and when he saw the wagons Joseph had sent to carry him, their Father’s spirits revived. Then Jacob exclaimed, “It must be true, my son, Joseph, is alive. I must go and see him before I die.” That’s prophetic! Promises fulfilled before he comes to get us. He is not coming back for a church in crutches. He’s coming back for the glorious church without spot or blemish. That is what is being developed in us right now. We are being prepared for a move of God, like has never come on the earth before. So every time something would come to fool you and deceive you, you remember, this is preparation. I’m just being trained. Thank you for the training. I’m being prepared.

So when things happen that astonish us, that really aren’t the best news… let’s let that astonishment develop in us with Holy Ghost help so that when the astonishing, ridiculous glory, which is starting to come in now, it’s coming in… That we learned to move with astonishment. We learned to move with the amazing.

Let’s just lean into this for a second. Let’s just pray in the spirit for a little bit here, and as we pray, we lean into victory. We lean into blessing. We lean into those things that you have already told us are coming to pass. Hope deferred being peeled away from the way we see things. We put our hands to the plow. We see what you are doing. We jump in the river of what you’re doing. We get in right now. We say you’ve already prepared the way. So we walk in it. We walk in that way prepared. We expect to be surprised. And when we’re surprised, we’re not surprised. Because we are expecting surprises. We are expecting to hear that thing that you were told was dead, is not. It’s alive! And it’s not only alive, it’s prospering. Let’s go! And we say, “Yep, we’re going. We’re going.”

Living Word, I declare over you today, all of these things you endured are just preparing the way… the way is being prepared for glory upon glory, presence, the thick, heavy presence of God that prepares the church. It does not impair us. We are not a church that just hangs around in the glory and then we forget about it when we leave this building. No! We move out. We move out! We engage. We are a church. We are an ecclesia that is standing, that is praising, that is raising the plan of God. The plan of God today… His ways, His truth, His light, His glorious, massive Holy Ghost plan.

And not even a fingernail will be missing from it.

Victory over chaos…

I’m going to read. This is from March 26th. Jane Hammond took over for Dutch that day and it was awesome. The title is “Victory Over Chaos.” “I challenge each and every one of us with the Holy Ghost challenge, that we only see victory everywhere we go. We will not waste what Jesus did. It is an insult to the cross. It is an insult to what He did for us to waste it.”
