Prayer Summary for July 15

All power and authority is in that name, Jesus
The Church needs to rise up and push ahead
A refreshing in You, Lord
Thank You, Father, for the ministry of Your precious Holy Spirit
Speaking to those storms—be calm in Jesus’ name!
We yield to the wind of the Holy Spirit
There is stability and strength in You, Lord

The following commentary to Luke 24:32 was taken out of the Revival Study Bible:

The Road to Revival

After Jesus rose again, He met two unsuspecting disciples on the road to Emmaus. While they did not at first recognize Him, their comment after His communion with them was: “Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”
(Luke 24:32)

We, too, can meet Him on the road to revival. He can do it again. He can also set our hearts on fire. Fresh winds of the Spirit are blowing through the Church. There is a sense of expectancy in the air. Multitudes are yearning for something that will put vibrancy in their souls. Many are coming alive to the claims of Christ. There is a deeper and more pervasive work of God that awaits us, an infusion of holy love that will engulf the whole body of believers and reach into the total fabric of our life and culture. For us to experience a mighty touch of God in revival, there must be preparation. It simply does not just happen. See how John “prepared the way” in Luke 3:1–6:

(1) “In the fifteenth year of Tiberius Caesar’s reign—when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene – (2) In the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the Word of God [concerning the attainment through Christ of salvation in the kingdom of God] came to John son of Zachariah in the wilderness (desert). (3) And he went into all the country round about the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance (of hearty amending of their ways, with abhorrence of past wrongdoing) unto the forgiveness of sin. (4) As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, The voice of one crying in the wilderness [shouting in the desert]: Prepare the way of the Lord, make His beaten paths straight. (5) Every valley and ravine shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be leveled; and the crooked places shall be made straight, and the rough roads shall be made smooth; (6) And all mankind shall see (behold and understand and at last acknowledge) the salvation of God (the deliverance from eternal death decreed by God).”
(Luke 3:1–6 Amp.)

  1. The Challenge (3:1–3): Note that this is at a specific point in time.
  2. The Conditions (3:4–5):
    • Valleys of defeat must be filled to reach a life of victory and power.
    • Mountains of disbelief must be leveled to a life of faith and trust.
    • Crooked ways must be straightened to a life of truth and honesty.
    • Rough ways must be smoothed to lead to a life of peace and kindness.
  3. The Consequence (3:6): The results are revival and salvation. Note Luke 3:16: “He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

Continued Praying…

Thank You, Father, for this day and that we can rejoice and be glad in it
We are so grateful for the anointing of Your Holy Spirit and that He is residing within us
Calling those things forth that You have called and planned for us to do
Thank You, Father, for the days and hours that we are living in
Declaring for enlightenment in the body of Christ
We are moving over into victory, in Jesus’ name!
There is a need, and the Church must rise up and connect to God
Open, open, open!
Things that have been locked up, we command them to be opened now!
Getting out of the realm of the mental and getting into the realm of the spirit
Praying about the mandates—be opened, unlocked, and revealed
Calling for a furtherance of Your plans and purposes, Father
Holy Ghost revelations and understanding!
There is a fresh anointing from heaven, today!
Opening doors of utterance, O God!
We must go, proceed, and accelerate of and by Your Spirit
Loosing angels, ministering spirits, to assist, accompany, and preserve
We lift the forerunners right now in the name of Jesus!
Applying the blood of Jesus over them—no weapon formed against them would prosper!
They are sustained by the blood of Jesus
Paths are being cleared off and made straight
Calling those things to be released by the blood of Jesus
Alignment—lined up according to Your Word
Eyes to the forefront, we will not stumble, O God
You must make it clear upon the tablets of our hearts, Lord
There is a cooperation and collaboration by Your Spirit
A divine connection, bound together and adhering to Your word!
Supernatural insight and wisdom from You, Father
There is a mighty move—the momentum is shifting!
You have separated each and every one of us unto You, Lord
Operating together now, make us one!
Walking and talking together, bound in the Spirit we go!
Calling for wind, fire, and desire!
Church, rise up and be free!
Steady now, get out of the old and move into the new
Thank You that Your anointing is working in and through us
We plead the blood of Jesus over each and every one of Your children
Declaring victory in our spirit, soul, and bodies

A word of the Lord came forth…

“Hallelujah! No weapon formed against us will prosper. We have a sustained press and plan that has been positioned within us. And if we will push out, poke through, do what we know to do, we will go all the way through, uncover some hidden things, reveal some things that have never been opened before. But we must not quit under the power; we must not stop yielding to more of that power in this hour that we are living in. The Church must press through into more of You, Lord.”
