Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Welcome everyone. Good to have you with us. My name is Ken and it’s good to be with you guys here on this Wednesday morning. I’m looking forward to flowing with you in prayer.

Step out and take that step…

I thought I would start off by reading a couple of passages out of the book of Isaiah. I was reading and meditating on these last night for a while. I just want you to reflect on them as I read them.

One word that I have this morning is just wanting to stress the importance of doing what God has put in front of you right now in this season. Respond to Him in whatever He’s prompting you to do today, whether it’s a small thing or a big thing.
Take that step.
Obey that prompting in your spirit that the Lord is showing you to take.
Don’t delay.
Step out in it.
Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, that intuition, that supernatural prompting, that thought that popped up in your heart as you reflected and meditated in prayer.
Take steps of faith.

They will lead you where God wants to take you. But we must cooperate with Him in those steps. And so I just want to encourage you in that.

Isaiah 54:14 from the New American Standard Bible. It says…

“In righteousness, you will be established.” That’s us! “You’ll be far from oppression.” In other words, far from fear, far from discouragement, far from your enemies. God wants to put separation between you and whatever enemy has been discouraging you or harassing you.

“For you will not fear, and from terror for it will not come near you. If anyone fiercely assails you, it will not be from Me, says the Lord. Whoever assails you will fail [or fall] because of you. Behold, I myself created the smith who blows the fire of coals and brings out a weapon for its work. And I have created the destroyer to ruin. No weapon that is formed against you will prosper. And every tongue that accuses you in judgment, you will condemn. For this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.” In other words, this is your birthright. “And their vindication [that’s ours] is from Me, declares the Lord.”

Isaiah 45:1…

“Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters. And you who have no money, come buy and eat. Come buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why do you spend money for what is not bread [in other words, doesn’t provide sustenance or doesn’t give you life]

Isn’t that true, how in this world and in our lower consciousness or nature, we have a tendency to pursue and be distracted by things that have a really short shelf life. They don’t have the ability to add life or breathe nourishment spiritually into us. They just really take from us and distract us. So much of what the world has to offer falls in that category.

Isaiah 55:2…

“Why do you spend money for what is not bread and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me and eat what is good and delight yourself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to me. Listen that you may live and I will make an everlasting covenant with you.” Aren’t you glad you have a covenant, right? Ratified in the blood of Jesus? Each of us, we have a covenant if we profess the name of Jesus. We have an agreement with God the Father, through Christ Jesus, confirmed because of the shed blood of our Lord. And that covenant speaks of far greater things than the Old Covenant. Far greater things for our future than have occurred in our past.

Aren’t you glad that we have a covenant that speaks, that we can enjoy and experience peace?
We have a covenant that speaks of provision for healing whenever we suffer physically.
A covenant that reveals that we’ve been endowed with a measure of faith, according to Romans 12:3.
A covenant that promises us the presence of the Holy Spirit now until the end of the age, now until we give up our last breath.

Jesus was separated from the Father so we wouldn’t have to experience separation…

Jesus was separated from His Father for a time so that we would not know separation, so that we could always be in collaboration, in relationship, in fellowship, in friendship, in communion with God the Holy Spirit. That alone is an amazing thing. We don’t have to go it alone. We’re not relegated to our own resources or strength, but the Holy Spirit has come to abide and take up a residence or live on the inside of us. So just be conscious of Him this morning. As you’re getting ready for your day, realize that the genius of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, lives inside of you.

The same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us. Let’s have an expectancy today. As we worship, as we pray, as we go about our day, that that power is flowing and available to us.

So often what we find ourselves inheriting in Christ is activated simply by us being aware of it, acknowledging it, having an expectation that we’re going to work with it today. We’re going to walk in it today.

Verse three says…

“Incline your ear and come to me. Listen that you may live.” That’s a key right there. You can underline that in your Bible. “Listen that you may live.” Faith comes by listening, by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, right?

People are not willing to listen…

I found in my years of walking with God and working with people that so often people want change. They want help in their lives, but they’re not willing to listen and be humble enough to listen and respond or put into practice what God is saying to them. Or what another person who’s trying to help them perhaps and speak into their life has to say.

We must submit ourselves one to another…

I found that breakthroughs come to my life in many ways, simply because I submitted… The Bible says to submit yourself to one another. Not just submit yourself to God but submit yourself to one another. And there are people God brings into our lives that have a supply of the Spirit, have something that God wants to give you. But it must come through another person. Because you submit yourself to them.

I sought out the counsel of others…

And I have to say, there have been many times in my life where I was struggling or I couldn’t seem to get the breakthrough, or I needed an answer to something, or I needed to change in some way. And, honestly, I sought out the counsel of other men and women of faith who have already gone the way I want to go. Who I respected or I knew that there was to be an association or connection with them. Maybe from a long distance or maybe in person. And I was intentional about seeking out their mentorship and listening to what they had to say. And there’ve been some times in my life where I took that very literally.

Or maybe I was struggling in some way and I listened to my friend or a mentor or a fellow pastor or a leader in some way. But I sought their counsel and I heard what they said. And even in very practical ways, I would just put into practice what they said to do.

And guess what?

Victory leaves clues…

It brought change to my life. Somebody once said that success or victory leaves clues. And those clues are often in other people. It’s in the Word. But also in other people. And when we submit and humble ourselves… You have to humble yourself. And listen and then obey or respond to that or put it into practice, you’ll see change. You’ll see results.

Yes, we’re grateful when the power of God moves and instantaneously, we experience a miracle. But very often, it’s as we walk with God and listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Listen to the ancient truths of scripture. Listen to those around us who are keys sent into our lives. People, divine connections, pastors, leaders, friends, whoever God has brought into your life, they have a supply for us.

This whole kingdom of God family and operation is not a solo experience or journey. It’s meant to be done together in unity with one another. We all have a supply. We all have prayer to offer. In fact, I’m quite convinced there are some of us today the Holy Spirit is prompting us to pray for someone He’s bringing up in your heart who is faltering or struggling under the weight of a challenge or difficulty or in a balance of sorts, needing to make a decision for life rather than death.

And it’s your prayers that can shift their decision for life rather than death, for blessing rather than cursing. It’s yours and my prayers that actually, as we see in the scripture, a sign and release the power of God to go to work in people’s lives.

For ourselves, we know what the Bible says in James. It says, “If any is afflicted or going through a tough time, struggling or facing adversities, let him [or let her] pray.” Alright, I’m off course here. Let me finish with Isaiah so we can worship. I know you didn’t ask for that, but you got it anyway.

So Isaiah says…

“Incline your ear and come to me and listen that you may live and I will make an everlasting covenant with you according to the faithful mercy shown to David, behold, I have made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples. Behold you will call a nation you do not know and a nation which knows you not will run to you because of the Lord your God, even the holy one of Israel, for He has glorified you.”

Isaiah 55:6 says…

“Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man [or woman] his thoughts and let him [or her] return to the Lord. For He will have compassion on him and to our God for He will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from the heavens and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater so will My word be, which goes forth from My mouth. It will not return to me empty or void.”

In other words, without accomplishing what I desire and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. “For you’ll go out with joy and be led forth with peace. The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you. And all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thorn bush and Cyprus will come up. And instead of the nettle, the myrrh will come up and it will be a memorial to the Lord for an everlasting sign which will not be cut off.”

Prayed…

Father, we thank you that instead of the enemy’s plan, instead of what the enemy has sown, we say those things will not prosper and will come to nothing.
And in their place, we declare that good things are breaking forth on the scene of our lives in Jesus’ name.
On the scene of the landscape out of our nation and our churches and our cities.

Prayer for America…

I just have a sense we’re praying for our nation right now. I don’t know all the words in English to pray, but I know we’re praying for America right now.
We’re making a way for the king of glory to enter and to be magnified in our nation today.
Opening up a new time for the profuse favors of God, abounding and flowing like a river.
These are the days that have been foretold even from of old.
These are the times of the supernatural display of almighty God.
Release it. We pray for a release of it. A stepping now by faith. Prepared and laid in front of us to form a road. A stepping stone. One and then another. Take steps. Take steps, Church. Take steps, son and daughter. Take steps in Jesus’ name, America.

Prayer for the East…

We lift up the Eastern realms and regions. Let there be a holy invasion, even an inundation now of the glory, now of awakening now.
Even that which was previously off limits, we pray, Lord, may those nations now be invaded with new strategies.
On assignment in prayer and on the ground evangelizing, planting churches, preaching the Gospel, doing the work of the ministry.
Lord, send laborers, send emissaries.
Angels go, go, go. Prepare the way in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we pray for a full release now of those called to those places in the eastern nations.

Prayer for the Pacific Rim nations…

Even in the far Pacific Rim realm of nations.
We lift them up to you today in Jesus’ name. Have mercy on them.
Those who are in harm’s way for what’s to come even later today.
Oh, have mercy on them. Alert them, get them out of the way.
Wherever there is an eminent threat, be it an earthquake, or a storm of some kind, we pray those called by your name, your sheep, the sheep of your pastor…. alert them, get them out of the way. Set them in the secret place today.

Oh, we just declare even in advance of it that which comes next will seem destructive on the surface. But we pray and we unite in agreement, Lord, but it will backfire in the enemy’s face. And it will shake some things up in different ways. But, ultimately, it will be for good and God’s way. The shaking. The shaking, the shaking. This awakening, the shaking, the shaking that’s coming. It will awaken. It will arouse. It will prepare the way.

So don’t let your heart be troubled. Don’t fear. Oh no, no, no. It’s clear in the Word of God that the way has been made.
Even through tumultuous days, the way has been made.
I’m just sensing there’s just a whole nother level now of intentionality. A whole nother level of safety and preservation and life and operation… on another plateau, on another level now.
So show us, Lord, lead us. Help us to step into it fully now.
