Morning Prayer Summary for Wednesday, June 18, 2025

Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Well, hello everyone. Happy Wednesday. It is Wednesday, the 18th of June, 2025 in case you’re taking note. My name is Ken Olson. I’m one of the staff members here at Living Word. And I want to welcome everyone.

Announcements…

Before we get started, let me just share a couple of quick reminders in regard to prayer. Firstly, there will be no live prayer tomorrow. Our offices are closed for Juneteenth, but we will be streaming one of the “best of” morning prayers on our YouTube and online church platform.

Also, no live prayer the first week of July, so June 30th through the 4th of July. So next week there’ll be prayer, the week after no live prayer. Typically that’s one of the weeks we’re off, along with the last two weeks of the year. But once again, we’ll be streaming the “best of” morning prayer that whole week online.

Also tonight is a Worship Wednesday service here at Living Word. I believe Pastor Ashton Harrison is going to be leading the church tonight in our sanctuary. You can join us online if you’re not able to. Please do that. It’s going to be great time of worship.

And then last but not least. I’m going to be leading this Wednesday night service July 23. I’m going to do some impartation and teaching on prayer and then spend a chunk of time also praying on that Wednesday night. So mark your calendars to be a part of that as well.

Pastor Ken prayed…

We declare…

You’re the God of miracles.
You’re the God of the impossible.
You’re the God of the supernatural.
You’re the God of breakthrough.

We decree that today over situations that look hopeless, over our own lives and families and situations, and circumstances that we face.
We declare you are the God of miracles.

We declare all things are possible to him or her who believes. And we say, Lord, we believe and we decree, Lord, miracles are breaking forth on the landscape of our lives.
We declare miracles are breaking forth through the culture of our nation and within our borders and beyond.
We decree that the supernatural-ness of God is unfolding in the land of Israel. Yes, in Jerusalem.

Yes, Lord, even on the world stage, there is a great shaping and repositioning and a molding according to the mindset and the divine providence of Almighty God.

Lord, let that occur in Jesus’ name, in the hearts of leaders in the situations, Lord, at hand on the global stage…

We declare transformations.
We declare supernatural repositionings.
We declare leaders being removed and others being thrust forward into a place of prominence and leadership and decision making in Jesus’ name.

Despite of all the violence, God is not caught off guard…

It’s really clear to me that even though we see the video and the news reports and the reels on social media of dozens of rockets at night, streaming through the sky like some kind of firework display, yet they’re meant for destruction and death, raining down in Israel, reigning down in the Middle East. That despite all of that chaos and what is erupted, even more so in recent days, God is not caught off guard. He is not surprised at the turbulence and the chaos.

Jesus said, “Don’t let your heart be troubled…”

Jesus comforted us through His Word long ago when He said there will be tribulation, there will be challenges, there will be chaos. Don’t let your heart be troubled. Instead, you can choose to be of a person of good cheer. When we recognize that He is the God of the impossible, that He still does miracles. That He is out head of the enemy’s best attempts to create death and destruction.

God is way out ahead of the enemy…

The God of heaven is ahead of the enemy. Way out ahead! In fact, that’s why you and I are here. We’re here, despite the chaos, despite the threat of World War III. We are here. We are appointed. You were in the mind of God, and He decided to create you in the eons of the dateless past. And He decided what you would be and what you would look like and when you would be born and what you would be endowed with as far as spiritual giftings and callings so that you would be here on the footing of the world at this time. So that you might be a part of the solution and part of the answer, and part of the advancing of what God wants to do in this hour in this generation.

He’s called us to be bastions of hope…

He’s called us as a generation to stand out. He’s called us as a people, the people of God to be bastions of hope. Beacons of light, a people who pray. Because prayer is our opportunity to harvest, to reap. It’s our opportunity to engage in spiritual warfare. Whether it’s the prayer of worship, or the prayer of faith. Or for that matter, the prayer of intercession, or the prayer of consecration.

Prayer is an opportunity…

All prayer is an opportunity to engage in spiritual warfare, to not just sit back and take a beatdown by the enemy. Or sit back and spectate on the parade of craziness that the enemy endeavoring to perpetuate in the world or in your life.

The violent take it by force…

There’s a passage of scripture that is key here that I feel like the Lord highlighted it in my heart last night. It’s Matthew 11:12. It says, “The kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force.”

Now, that’s a little maybe unclear. So let me go over to the Passion translation, which renders it a little bit more in a modern vernacular. It says from the moment John stepped onto the scene until now, the realm of heaven’s kingdom is bursting forth.

John the Baptist burst forth to be a forerunner and an announcer that Jesus the Messiah was coming. The heavenly realm is…

Bursting forth to this day with the redemptive work of our Lord since then.
Bursting forth with the announcement that our God still heals, that He’s still Jehovah Jireh, the one who provides.
Bursting forth with the announcement that He still works miracles.

That your Heavenly Father is not a respecter of persons. He’s an equal opportunity employer. He’s an equal opportunity blesser. As long as you take advantage of the redemptive work of Jesus, you are a target for His favor. You are someone that He desires to hold and to possess and to walk in the fullness of His kingdom.

Passion translation…

So the Passion translation of Matthew 11 says, “From the moment John stepped onto the scene until now, the realm of heaven’s kingdom is bursting forth with goodness and with everything that God provided.” What Jesus paid for and provided for us to take advantage of, to not just sit back like religion teaches us and mentally acknowledge, “Oh, I’m in Christ. Oh, I guess I’m forgiven.”

No! It’s bursting forth. The God’s kingdom is bursting forth. It’s like it’s pregnant… bursting forth with His goodness. And we’re here to reap it, to harvest it, to take advantage of it.

And it goes on to say, “And passionate people have taken hold of its power.” You can’t sit back. You’ve got to take hold of it.

I’m reminded of what God promised Joshua. He said, “Wherever your foot would set down on, I will grant you that land.” And God’s still saying that to us today. In fact, I was reminded of what the Lord spoke to me about 2025. That 2025 is to be a year to take ground, to partner with God, to proactively possess the land He has promised. Because His kingdom is…

Bursting forth with goodness
Bursting forth with the miraculous
Bursting forth with healing
Bursting forth with provision
Bursting forth with new hope today, new visions today, salvations today for you and your whole household and your nation and all of Israel.

But we can’t sit back and just spectate. We must step forward and violently and aggressively take what has been revealed to be ours already. There is a grace right now to intentionally and aggressively pursue what God has promised.

“Lord, what should I be believing for right now?”

And maybe it’s just me, but I was out for a walk last night. I just was prompted to pray, “Lord, what should I be believing for right now? Help me refocus my faith in this season.” Because sometimes life just takes over and you get distracted and you get busy and we lose sight spiritually speaking of the vision God has put before us. We lose sight of what He’s spoken over us. We lose sight of what the Word says about our situation that we’re facing or what assignment He has us praying about. It’s real easy.

So we have to course correct on a regular basis. Stir ourselves up. And invite the Holy Spirit. Sometimes the best prayers are where you ask questions. You simply say, “Lord, what should I expect? What should I be believing for in this next season of my life? What do you want me to be watching over in prayer on the walls of the outpouring? How should I be seeing this situation that suddenly erupted in my life the other day?”

God wants us to see through His perspective…

God wants us to see through His lens and His eyes and His perspective, because the battle that we fight is always firstly spiritual. The answers that are going to come through from heaven’s realm to our realm to deal with what’s going on, on a geopolitical level in our own state, here in Minnesota, in your church, in your home, and your finances, the answers are there. But they’re firstly in the realm of the spirit.

The first fight to fight is the fight of faith…

The first fight that you have to fight, the only fight really you have to fight, is the fight of faith. And it’s a good fight because it’s simply a fight to believe. And I like to kind of pull that out a little bit more and say, “It’s a fight to keep your focus right.”

Because faith is all about focus…

What you focus on, you move toward. Faith comes by hearing. It comes by focusing on hearing the words of life, the words of Jesus, the promise of God. That’s what inspires, invigorates, and supports your faith that you might receive.

The Kingdom of God is bursting forth with new realities…

So there’s grace right now to intentionally and aggressively pursue what God has promised, what He has spoken over your life. God wants to see what He’s spoken over your life fulfilled more than you want it fulfilled actually. And it’s not going to happen accidentally or passively. The past, as we just read, says the Kingdom of God is bursting forth with new realities. It’s bursting forth with new provision despite the backdrop of what’s happening in the Middle East or what happened in Minnesota last weekend, or what’s happening negatively in some way in your life.

God is the God of yes…

Despite all that, God’s not surprised. In fact, what He’s saying is My kingdom is bursting forth. My promises are still yes and amen. I’m still, He would say, the God of yes in a post modern phrase. God would still say, “I’m the God of Yes.”

It’s time for the church to be stirred up…

So, church, it’s time to stir yourself up as pray-ers, as believers, as sons and daughters of the most high God. Because My promises are bursting. My Word is still sure. My plan for you is still the same. My desire for your physical condition is healing and restoration in every way.

But for you to harvest that, reap that, realize that, and for that to become reality, we’ve got to see it, stay focused on it, and take it by faith.

With our prayers.
With our decrees.
With our confessions.

So I jotted this down last night…

“You have the promise. You have a vision. You have even a next step, let’s say. Or a dream. So you’re standing on the edge of potential, and it’s time to put your feet on the land and to start possessing it. It is time to cross over Jordan and enter the Promised Land. For we are well able.

Glory to God!
