Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

It’s so easy, probably because we live in a physical body that is at times subject to the pressures and the harassing elements of the spirit realm being demonic entities, that war against those who stand for good and for God. And so it can be easy at times in your thinking to play worst-case scenarios in your head, to conform to what the past has told us.

Resist being pressed into the mold of this world…

I’m reminded of Romans 12:2 and what it says in one particular translation. It says, resist being pressed into the mold of this world, its customs and its superficialness. Refuse to be pressed into the mold of your past thinking or your present circumstances that surround you.

The life of faith is an opportunity…

The life of faith is an opportunity to choose a different path than the world, to choose a different path than just what the natural perspective would tell us. Faith is the opportunity to embrace God’s perspective, a perspective that is forward-leaning and hope-filled and expecting good because He is good. God is good. And that is always His intention. In fact, as we were worshiping, it just rose up in my spirit the sense that all of heaven is conspiring to perform and deliver good in your life.

I want to give you a pattern interrupt…

And so this morning, if you’ve been negative or you feel like your life is an exhibition of Murphy’s Law (where everything that can go wrong, will go wrong), I want to just give you a pattern interrupt and challenge you to make a decision with your will and with your words and with your thoughts as you go throughout this day and this week that “I’m going to begin to expect something good is happening.”

In fact, something really good is going to happen today. Something really good is working behind the scenes on my behalf. All of heaven, all of the angels, my prayers, in fact, in all of heaven’s realm are conspiring. In other words, working together to do something good, to cause you to step into a miracle, to experience a breakthrough, receive favor in some way in your life.

Renew, refresh, and refill…

And we can renew and refresh and refill. That’s what the word “renew” in Romans 12:2 means. When it says that we’re to renew our minds, it’s referring to refill our minds. We can condition our minds and our hearts and our thoughts and our perspective to expect something good every day. But it is the work that we must engage in. Receiving from God is easy. But it’s the effort of faith… “labor, therefore, to enter into the rest of God,” the Bible says. That labor is to believe. Faith is that rest.

Adopt a new attitude of mind…

But to rest, you’ve got to adopt a new attitude of mind, as one verse in the New Testament says. Adopt God’s perspective, that it’s not going to be as it was in the past, but in fact, God is doing something new as we’ve been hearing in our spirits and has been prophesied… that God is turning things around even in our nation and in other nations around the world. Where people will grab hold of the promise of God and say, “This is for me.” What you see is not for you. In the natural that is. But what you see in His Word can be, really should be, for you.

You’ve got to take hold of His promise…

But you got to take hold of His promise that you and your household will be saved. You got to take hold of His promise that Jesus bore your sicknesses and carried away your weakness, infirmity, sickness, disease, and even pain. And that by and through the stripes that He took the punishment upon Him that He bore, you were made whole. That is a past-tense promise! In other words, the payment has already been plunked down on the table and the promise and the provision of healing and deliverance and freedom from pain in your body and in your soul and in your mind, has already been paid.

Grab hold of what God says…

So prayer is a matter of taking hold of what God has said about us, about our enemy, about our circumstances, about our futures. Grabbing hold of that, like a bulldog who sinks its jowls around a milk bone. And you grab hold of that promise and you say, “That promise is mine and nothing’s going to take it from me.” That’s where the fight of faith is. That’s where prayers are answered, is when we grab hold of the promise and we pray it and we say it and we declare it.

The enemy comes to question…

But then time passes and the enemy wages a war of attrition and discouragement, and he comes to attack and penetrate our thought processes with, “Well, that didn’t happen for so and so. That’s probably not going to happen for you.” Or, “You messed up the other day, why would God want to bless you with this in your life or answer your prayer?” He comes to question. He comes to insinuate. He comes to hurl like a javelin thoughts to penetrate our minds and get us to relent and say, “Yeah, you’re probably right. Today’s going to be terrible. Tomorrow’s going to be worse. And it’s never going to work out for me. Nothing ever seems to change.”

No!

Give the Holy Spirit permission to arrest you when you’re going down the wrong track in you’re thinking and your perspective. Faith is a perspective that God is faithful. He has been faithful. He is faithful. And He will always be faithful to come through for you. And that you will see His goodness, and you will see the answer with your eyes if you refuse to grow weary in choosing the right perspective.

Faith is choosing to hear and see and say the right perspective…

That’s really what faith is. It’s choosing to hear and see and say the right perspective, to stand regardless if anything has changed in the natural to say, “I’m going to stand on your Word today, Lord. I will refuse to back off because I believe you’re a good God. And you are always behind the scenes conspiring with every resource of heaven to bring forth your goodness in my soul and in my body, and in my finances, and in my family, and in my nation.”

Be like King David…

You’ve got to be like King David and become your own best cheerleader. Cheer yourself on. God the Son Jesus, already came for you 2000 years ago, and He put in a perfect performance on yours and my behalf. He dotted every I, He crossed every T. He fulfilled every requirement of the law so that there would be no “if’s, and’s, or but’s about His intentionality…

To make you His righteousness
To make you His holiness
To crown you with His favor
To call you by the name of son or daughter
To make you a royal priesthood and a holy nation as the Bible says.

His grace is bigger than your mistakes…

Don’t let the little things get you down. Refuse to get hung up on your mistakes and your missteps, because I’m here to tell you this morning… this preacher’s here to tell you His grace is greater than your mistakes and your mess ups. The Bible says that when evil rises against us, that we find ourselves in a dark and difficult season that His grace, in fact, swells all the more to be always greater than the enemy’s greatest weapon. God’s grace swells to swallow up every weapon that was formed against you.

No weapon formed against us will prosper…

Isaiah reminds us that no weapon formed against you or me or the church, including in this end-time hour formed against us will prosper and every voice that rises against us in harassing insinuations of defeat or death or some destruction of some kind, the Bible says will be proven to be in the wrong for this is your heritage. This is your inheritance as a child of the most high God.

Prayer is you being responsible…

So prayer is not just putting your mouth on autopilot, praying in other tongues. Prayer is you being responsible for what you think and what you’re speaking, not just in morning prayer or when you’re with your best BFF. It’s choosing to cultivate and curate a perspective. Faith and prayer is choosing to cultivate and curate a perspective of faith, a perspective that God is at work. It’s going to be all right. I realize I made mistakes, maybe just the other day. But guess what? Regardless of that, His grace is greater, and it’s going to all turn out all right.

The Lord is inviting the church now to get right out on the edge of our seats, where your derriere is barely hanging on… maybe mostly in midair. Your neck is craning and looking and expecting that even today on this day in April of 2025, I’m going to see the goodness of God in my circumstances… in my finances today… in my body today. I cannot be denied. I will not be denied.

Take hold like a bulldog…

The righteous may suffer violence and setbacks at times, but if you have a violent faith, you take hold of it like that bulldog and you will refuse to let go. Whether you’re engaged in a prayer assignment for nations or a situation, or you’re simply endeavoring to put food on the table, God is coming through for you. He would cease to exist if He didn’t follow through with His Word. He holds all things together by the Word of His power.

Choose His Word…

The Old Testament reads He’s exalted His Word high. So choose His Word today. Choose what His perspective is about your what you’re dealing within your body… His perspective about what you’re dealing with in your finances… His perspective about how you’re feeling in your emotions or what you’re seeing in your family or your nation. Choose His perspective. Think His thoughts. Speak His word. Let it replay and wash over your consciousness and your emotions. His Word is able to recalibrate. His Word is able to restore. His Word is able to synchronize even your psychology so that you are strong in the Lord.

The Word of God is medicine…

There’s so many things that are dysfunctional and people’s souls and lives nowadays is because the enemy is sown lies and deceptions and things from the pit of hell. So no wonder we have rampant epidemics of everything you can imagine, including depression and ADHD and OCD and all sorts of trauma that would take enormous months of time to mention. The Word of God is His medicine. The Word of God is our sword. So pull it out of its sheath and begin to start swinging it in your life. The Word of God!

“Get thee behind me, Devil…”

Jesus gave us a template when He was on the earth and He encountered the enemy’s resistance. He said, “Get thee behind me, Devil. For the Word says this.” I’m not sure where all this is coming from, but I believe somebody needs it this morning.

Be your own cheerleader…

You’ve got to be your own best cheerleader. You’ve got to take responsibility. I’m speaking to pray-ers. I’m speaking to believers this morning. I don’t know where you’re at in your faith journey, but God knows. He knows right where you’re at and His grace is greater. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can resist. He is your backbone. You can lift up your head. You can straighten up your back. You can look the Devil in the eye and say, “Devil, how dare you? Take your hands off of me. Take your hands off of my children.”

You can remind yourself today and every day that God has delegated, according to Matthew 28, His authority and power to you. He said, “All authority in heaven and earth has been granted and given unto me. Therefore, go disciple… Go, son. Go, daughter, in my name. Cast out devils. Raise the dead. Heal the sick. Speak in other tongues. Do the work of God.” So take responsibility for your faith.

We have lived far too low for far too long. And the Lord is inviting us to a supernatural experience of His presence and power in our everyday lives in this hour. It’s going to require that.

President Trump’s optimistic outlook…

Listen to this! I heard a story the other day about President Trump and how one commentator… this wasn’t necessarily a Christian. I don’t even remember where I heard it. They were talking about how President Trump has such an optimistic outlook. Part of it might be his temperament. Certain temperaments are much more optimistic and other temperaments are much more critical and they kind of have to work at seeing things from a positive perspective. And I get that. There’s strengths and weaknesses in those temperaments.

But they were saying how President Trump is so optimistic and he’s always expecting good’s going to happen. And they were saying it’s probably because the church he grew up in was Norman Vincent Peale’s church, the “Power of Positive Thinking” pastor. Great book. Written many years ago. But that’s what he grew up with.

The Word of God is a positive book. I’m not saying there are hard things we face. Of course there are. That’s why God has given us the gift of faith and His words that even the Saints of Old who did not witness with their eyes salvation, yet they still died in faith with a positive outlook, even died in faith. And you better believe they’re going to get a reward. Even though they didn’t see the Messiah. They still believed. They still had a positive forward-leading faith. And there was a reward that came with that.

Quiet Revival in the Middle East…

I saw this story the other day, speaking of positive things and good things that are on the landscape on the horizon of even the world stage. I came across this little story about Christian revival taking place in the Middle East. And the story goes, “A quiet revival is sweeping across the Middle East in Iran where there were just 500 Christians in 1979.” That was it. “Where the church was just 500 Christians in 1979, the underground Church has grown to over 1 million believers, making it the fastest-growing church in the world!”

Take that Devil.

This is the kind of faith God’s leading us. He wants us to have this boldness about us. Like, “I double dog dare you, Devil. I know where I stand.”

Article continues…

“One million believers making it the fastest-growing church in the world. Afghanistan, despite being one of the most dangerous places for Christians, is now seeing thousands turn to Christ in secret. Even in Saudi Arabia where conversion is forbidden, there are increasing reports of native Saudis following Jesus. Many share remarkable stories of vivid dreams and visions of Christ, calling them by name and drawing them to the Gospel. Against all odds, faith is rising in the most unlikely places.”

It’s only the beginning!

And I would also add to that, and it’s only just beginning. The Third Great Awakening is just beginning. But it has begun. Make no mistakes about it.
