Before we go further, hello and good morning, everyone. Whether you’re with us digitally on one of our platforms online or in this chapel this morning. Good to have you with us. My name is Ken and I will be your flight attendant, as I say, for prayer today.
Isaiah 52…
I want to read Isaiah 52, at least parts of it to you. And I ask that you would reflect on what I read found in Isaiah 52 from the Passion translation.
It states…
“Wake up, open your eyes, beautiful Zion.” Now Zion is representative of Israel, but it also is a representation of the church as well. That would be us.
“So wake up, open your eyes, beautiful Zion. Put on your majestic strength. Jerusalem, the sacred city, put on your glory garments. Never again will the unclean enter your gates. Arise, shake off your dust.”
Come on now. Somebody needs to shake off some dust this morning of what the enemy’s been doing in your life or where you’ve been maybe. You need to shake it off. Taylor Swift didn’t come up with those lyrics. They’re in Isaiah.
“Shake off your dust. Sit enthroned, Jerusalem. Break off your shackles of bondage from your neck, you captive daughter of Zion. For this is what Yahweh has to say. He said you were sold for nothing. Now you will be redeemed without payment.”
Why?
Because Jesus took care of it for us. He did pay a high price so that we could receive His mercy and His grace, and maybe a fresh start today without cost or without a price. It’s free. While grace is free, it cost Jesus everything. So the best thing we can do to honor and worship Him and the high cost that He paid is to freely receive today.
Freely receive a fresh start if you need that.
Freely receive an endowment and a fresh invasion of His presence into your soul, into your perspective, into your home, into your life.
Freely receive the healing anointing today.
Receive freely…
I know this is a prayer meeting, but guess what? The anointing that heals, the anointing that inspires us to praise, the same anointing that will bring healing and deliverance, so receive freely the gift of healing for your mind, for your soul, for your body, for whatever situation you’re standing for today. Receive. Just say, “Lord, I receive freely.” I know it costs Jesus everything and He paid the ultimate price, but as a result, I can freely receive what is needed for my life.
It goes on to say…
“For Yahweh says long ago, My people went down to Egypt and lived as foreigners there. And for no good reason, Assyria oppressed them. And now what have I here, says Yahweh? Indeed, My people have been taken into bondage without a cause while mocking rulers howl and every day, My name is continually despised, says Yahweh. Therefore, My people will know the power of My name. And they will know in that day that I am the one who promised them saying, behold, I am here.”
Receive that this morning…
Somebody just needs to receive that word. Behold, the Lord says, I am not only near but He is here in your life, in your situation, in the midst of what you’re going through, that isolation that you feel, that loneliness, that pain, that unmet expectation that you’ve been grappling with, He is right there. And He’s already gone into your future to solve whatever you are facing.
He is here…
“Behold He is here. What a beautiful sight to behold, the precious feet of the messenger coming over the mountains to announce Good News.” How many of you know or are reminded that the Gospel is Good News? Good News. So good, it almost sounds too good to be true. But guess what? It is true. The Good News is true. It is reality. In fact, it is truth. And while we needed Good News when we are far from Jesus, that we might know Him by name and be adopted into His family as followers of Jesus, we need Him and that Good News every day. Never outgrow the Gospel. Good News.
So it goes on to say…
“He comes to refresh us with wonderful news announcing salvation.”
You could say deliverance.
You could say breakthrough.
You could say healing.
The Spirit of God is hovering over you and I today announcing the Good News of the full supply and the full provision of the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus, that it is finished. Concerning your healing, It is finished. The price has been paid. The stripes have been borne upon the Lord Jesus’ back that you and I might receive the virtue and the healing anointing, or power, to minister recovery from what you’ve been dealing with physically, emotionally, mentally, or whatever the case might be.
I just declare that over you today…
The price has been paid in full for creative miracles. If you need a new vertebrae, you need some new tendon tissue, you need an organ to be transformed and to function once again as the Master created it to function. You need cancer cells to die. Well, let them die now in the presence of the Almighty Healer. Jesus’ Good News is that He sent His Word AKA Jesus and healed them. Not just one or two, but all of them, such as should receive freely and acknowledge that He is the healer. He is the great physician. He is the Mighty One who comes to deliver the oppressed, to set the captives free. Those taken captive by sickness, taken captive by oppression, by darkness, by depression, by problems, by many tumults and adversities.
Guess what?
Jesus comes to announce and He’s saying over the church today, “I am here to set you free fully and completely and eternally.” For he who the Son sets free is to be free indeed in Jesus’ name.
You need the Good News…
So I’m just stirring your consciousness and your faith up this morning before we pray. You need the Good News. You need to be your own best preacher, your own best encourager. Preaching to yourself the Good News. That will inspire prayer, I guarantee it. And this is not an infomercial. But I guarantee it, it will inspire prayer. The more you set your attention and your affections on the Good News of Jesus, the Good News of the Gospel.
So He comes to refresh us with wonderful news, announcing salvation to Zion and saying, “Your mighty God reigns.” He reigns. Listen, the watchmen are shouting. You could say the pray-ers are shouting in triumph. Why? Because it’s already been rigged in our favor.
This thing called life
This thing called the plan of God
This thing that God is doing in and through the church.
It’s rigged in our favor…
It’s rigged in our favor because of the Good News that Jesus put in a perfect performance on behalf of some very imperfect people so that we could no longer identify with our imperfect performance and our human frailties and weaknesses, our mess-up’s and our mistakes. But rather we can day by day identify and step into our in-Christ calling and our in-Christ position.
That’s why we can pray with such authority.
That’s why we can make faith decrees.
That’s why we can boldly prophesy out ahead into our future the Word of God.
We are a new creature…
Not because of what we were, but because of what we now are. You are a new creature—a new species that never existed before. Made brand new in Him! And when we step into Him, we have a newfound position, one that is the same as Jesus. We have a newfound possession, one that is the same as Jesus.
So listen…
“The watchmen are shouting and triumph lifting their voices together. They are singing for joy, for right before their eyes, they can see Yahweh returning to Zion, burst into joyous songs, you rubble of Jerusalem.”
Somebody can just say that over the rubble of what you’re dealing with in your life, the rubble of your past, the rubble of maybe your finances or a relationship or a situation. You can just say, “Burst into joyous songs, you rubble of Jerusalem for Yahweh has graciously comforted His people. He has become the kinsman redeemer.”
Oh, I like that.
Be redeemed. You get redemption! You get redemption! You get redemption! We all get redemption if we’ll open our hearts and believe and simply receive. “Yahweh has unveiled His holy arm before the eyes of all nations to the ends of the earth.” In other words, God’s plan is far greater than we give it credit. So believe bigger. Let your prayers be bigger and “hairier” and more audacious. Let them be big, hairy, audacious prayers! Because God has a plan that reaches to the ends of the earth and beyond.
Isaiah cont…
“To the ends of the earth everyone, everywhere will see the salvation of our God. Go, go and leave Babylon behind.” In other words, leave your past behind. Leave that adversity behind. Leave that broken, dark, depressed perspective behind, for today is a new day and God is doing something new.
That’s Ken Olsen’s commentary.
He says…
“Touch nothing unclean as you depart.” In other words, don’t take those negative thoughts with you. Leave those limiting beliefs behind. Any sin, any distractions, leave them on the heap behind you somewhere as you step into the future. You will neither have to leave in haste, nor will you make a frantic escape, for your God Yahweh will go before you. He will lead you each step and be your rear guard.
In other words, He’s out ahead of you, but He is also following behind you to protect you as Psalm 139:5 says protect you even from the mistakes of your past. He’s able to even redeem your mess-up’s, and protect you from your rear guard.
“Look, my servant…” Somebody say, “That’s me.” “My servant will prosper and succeed. He or she will be highly honored, raised up, and greatly exalted. Just as many were appalled at the sight of Him (Jesus, that is) for so marred was His appearance.” In other words, He was so beaten and torn apart by the abusiveness of man, so marred was His appearance like an object of horror, He no longer looked like a man. So now He will startle many nations.” In other words, He’s going to get the nation’s attention.
“Kings will be shocked, speechless before Him. Well they will now see a sight unheard of and things never considered before now fill their thoughts.” In other words, God is going to have His day. It’s already started because of what Jesus has done, but I believe we’re going to see a wrapping up of what Jesus started in this day and in this new era.
Prophecy is unfolding…
As Bible prophecy unfolds day after day, we’re seeing unprecedented things that are getting kings and prime ministers and presidents’ attention. Nations are realigning. Atmospheres, spiritually speaking, that we never thought would be penetrated by the Good News are opening up to the Good News. Awakening is now being deployed not just in America, not just in Minnesota, but on each and every continent, in every nation, among every people group. There is a call going out. Atmospheres are shifting. Awakening is unfolding, as I said. And revival is increasing.
A word from Barry Wunsch…
Let me read one more thing. Somebody shared with me on Sunday night a word that comes from a gentleman by the name of Barry Wunsch. He’s a minister from Canada. And he shared this experience that he had.
He said…
It was our last night in Arizona. And I was sound asleep when I was awakened by my bed shaking from the biggest, deepest, widest blast I’d ever felt or heard. I woke up heart pounding, trying to get my bearings. It was more than thunderous. It was a blast with so much force and power, I knew by the Spirit that it had shaken the earth and the nations to their very core. It had a frequency I had never experienced before.
As it went off, it rumbled through the very foundations and roots throughout the earth. I knew by the Spirit of God that this was the Lord of hosts and this was the tipping point. He had just made a move that no one on earth could ever imagine Him making. It was what we had been waiting for. I immediately thought about the war in Iran and the Middle East and President Trump. But I soon saw this was much bigger than any of that.
After the blast, there was a silence across the earth. I mean everywhere. The Lord had just got the world’s attention. I knew by the Spirit that the Lord had just done something that was like a global wake up. And it was a new day. The peace that flooded in and the hush throughout the nations was incredible. At first, I thought it was just the dust settling throughout the nations, but what I realized was that it was actually a glory cloud settling on the nations, the people, and the land. It was full of new life, that glory. It was full of power and restoration.
I knew by the Spirit that what had just happened was a big part of God clearing the deck. The shutting down of evil regimes and evil kings and dark forces preparing the way for the Lord Himself to release the glory of the Lord, as in Isaiah 60:1–3, which states this: Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
See darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your dawn of God’s glory now is rising up over the horizon of the earth.
There was only one thing who would get the glory and honor for what had just happened. And it was the Lord God Almighty. This had all the markings and scale of a biblical event. I did not get a time or a date, but I did sense it was not far off. As I journaled this out, the Father spoke to me, “Barry, tell My people that I am going to play My hand and I’m going to do things My way in this hour. My people are doing their best with what they have, but I tell you today that I am about to shift the nations like they would never be able to do so. You are going to see a move of My Spirit and you will see the ruined cities and nations restored. I’m going to do My part and I’m going to clear the way for you to do yours. I am going to bring healing and deliverance to the nations, and I shall pour out My Spirit upon my children and they shall come to know Me as my loved sons and daughters. Not through dead religion, filled with works and performance. I have told you before and I will say it again: This is a new day that is upon you.”
