Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Hello, and happy Monday everyone. Good to see y’all. Good morning. I’m glad to be with you. If you guys don’t already know, my name is Ken Olson. I’m one of the pastors on staff here at Living Word.
Excerpt from personal journal…
Today I want to share one thought with you really quick. I went back and read this in my journal, simply this: “When you truly experience Jesus in your life, it’s impossible to maintain the status quo.” Isn’t that true? I mean, ultimately, when we get together to pray, I’m not here to do my deal. I always look to Him. I say, “Lord, what do you want to do?” It’s not the Ken Olson deal. It’s not yours or my agenda here today. It’s, “Lord, what do you want to do? What do you want to accomplish? What do you want to do in us? What do you want to do through us?”
Our heart is “we want to experience Jesus. We want to welcome His presence.” Because if we’ll experience Him, if we’ll welcome Him through His Spirit, then we will be changed. And the change that’s produced in us will bring change around us… through our prayers, through our lives.
Excerpt from Nancy Dufresne’s book, “The Supernatural Prayer Life”
And, I started reading an excerpt from Nancy Dufresne’s book, “The Supernatural Prayer Life” last week. I ended about halfway through what I wanted to read. But let me pick up again on this passage in 2nd Corinthians 4:18, which Paul says, “Look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal…” Or you could say temporary. “But the things which are not seen are eternal.” In other words, long lasting.
Once again, Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your mind (your thoughts) on things above, not on the things that are on this earth.” I don’t know about you, but that’s been a theme in my life even recently. I seem to be drawn toward eternity in some ways. I’m focusing on things that are to come. Yes, I still have to function in this natural realm, you as well. But God wants us to lift our eyes and see that our help comes from His throne, comes from our relationship with Him.
And Nancy goes on to talk about how there’s no limits in the unseen realm.
“There are no questions at the throne. That’s why we go to the throne. That’s why we respond to scripture, which says, “Let us come boldly to the throne of grace. The throne of grace is a throne of obtaining. It’s the throne where we receive. Oftentimes things that we don’t even know we need, He has ready for us at His throne of grace.”
God is out ahead…
Even today. Amen. We don’t know what’s going to come down the road later today or this week or the balance of this year for you, or for me, or for our nation, or the world. But we do know that God is out ahead of everything the enemy, including the loss of Charlie Kirk here recently. I’ve heard more than one person say that the enemy simply overplayed his hand. And this will all backfire in his face. And it is. Amen!
Revival is progressing and advancing…
We believe that revival is progressing and advancing and multiplying in our nation and around the world. We’re seeing that. We see that reported on. You won’t see it in the legacy media, but you’ll see it on social media, right? You’ll see it reported by people who are honest and share it in their feed online and Facebook on YouTube on Instagram.
Revival is multiplying…
As we’ve been praying for some time now, God is pressing down on the accelerator of His purpose and His plan. And whatever comes next, whether the enemy’s futile attempt, or a promotion, understand that God is your equipping. He is your sustaining force and supply. He is your and my everything. The Bible says, in Him we live and move and have our being. We are His offspring. We’re His sons and daughters.
It goes on to say in another passage of scripture…
We’re complete or find our fullness in Him. So just know today as you just turn your attention toward Him, even for a few minutes now here at the outset of a new week, at the outset of a new day, just have an expectation that God is downloading into your soul the grace, the empowerment, the wisdom, the positioning, the divine timing that’s necessary for your next steps, for what happens later today, for what happens in December or the beginning of 2026.
Aren’t you glad that we connect with and have relationship with someone who is outside of time and space, who is in the future somewhere—“been there, done that, bought the t-shirt and has come back to tell us about it”—
So that we can succeed
So that we can overcome
So that we can walk in His fullness
So that we can transact His purposes and His power in and through our lives?
There are no limits at the throne. There are no limits when you journey to know Him. And Nancy reminds us of that in her book “The Supernatural Prayer Life. “There are no limits in the unseen realm.” And she goes on to say, “Jesus not only revealed God’s realm to man, showing its utter dominion over all things in the natural realm.”
Jesus is the door…
In other words, if you’ll choose to function as a supernatural being in relationship with a supernatural God, an all knowing, all powerful, all gracious God, then that will trump anything going on in your natural realm. But He made a declaration, Jesus that is, that invited change into every person’s world. When He declared “I Am the Door.” Jesus said, “I am the door. No man comes unto the Father but by Me.” He was letting us know that He is the door between the two worlds. Now there is to be a free exchange between the two realms, between heaven and earth in other words. Prayer, seeking Him, your faith allows for that exchange.
Do you see that this morning?
You may feel depleted, but guess what? The Lord has a supply that’s going to lift you up today. You may have fallen in some way in your life, but unlike the woman in the infomercial, you can get up. You know “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.” Sorry, is it too early Monday morning? Well, guess what? The Bible says you can get up because the Lord has already prepared a fresh supply for you today to go another day.
Somebody needs to hear this, this morning…
The Lord is saying you can go another day today. That’s all He is asking you to do, is to go another day, to turn your attention to Him one more time, to believe again, to take hold of His supernatural hope and with that hope, see the outcome getting better in your situation.
See America being lit up with the holy fire of heaven.
Seeing what happened with the Charlie Kirk situation now become a seed that produces revival, that produces change. Amen.
What was there… 60, 70,000 people in the stadium in Glendale, Arizona, yesterday worshiping, including the President and the Vice President and many notable leaders in our nation worshiping. Yes!
Plus there were 20, 30,000 or more people outside! And then there are people meeting around the country. So clearly God is up to something. Make no mistake about it. Don’t let the enemy talk you out of it. And if He’s doing something in our nation, then he must be doing something in you and something in me. Don’t stay in a low place. Don’t remain in the status quo.
“But, Ken, I messed up” or “Ken, this didn’t work out.”
That’s okay. Take advantage of His grace. That’s why His grace, His forgiveness, His mercy is available—not so that we can attempt to do some sort of religious penance because we don’t feel we’re good enough or we made a mistake 10 years ago. No. Take advantage of His grace. You hear me often talk about that. Use it for what it is, a chance to start again. Even if it is today or even if it’s 10 minutes have elapsed and I need to start again.
Well start again!
The Bible says His grace flows and His grace swells and increases to swallow up our mess ups. Even though we mess up even more, guess what? Don’t run from Him. Run to Him. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. He gives more grace to those who humble themselves under the mighty hand of God. Choose to humble yourself. Say, “Lord, I receive your mercy. I refuse to beat myself up,” or “I refuse to focus on the status quo. But I take advantage of your overwhelming flow of mercy and grace and supply.” Amen.
You don’t have to figure it all out…
You can choose to trust in His nature and trust that He’s your Heavenly Father and trust that He holds you in the palm of His hand, as the scripture reveals. And that your name is ever before Him. That, in fact, He catches our prayers. Even prayers you prayed in days before, months before, years before. He catches them in a vial and there are living things that ever live before Him. So maybe it’s not that He didn’t hear you or you’re not good enough, or not consistent enough. Maybe it’s that prayer is still living before you and He’s waiting for the right time.
Just continue to believe
Continue to expect
Continue to let Him anchor you in hope
That change is coming your way today.
Oh, that’s a word for somebody this morning—Hope and change are coming your way today.
