Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today
Pastor Ken…
Good morning and happy Monday, everyone. Good to see you.
My name is Ken, and I’m glad to be with you and we’re going to dive into some prayer this morning. I sense a great need for us to pray about some things in particular today. Perhaps you do too. Let me just share a couple of things to get us started this morning. And I think it’s a really exciting thing that’s opening up in yet another school here in the United States when it concerns revival. CBN reported just a few days ago that there’s a Gen Z awakening that reached a frat house in East Carolina University.
“Revival Is Going On”
And the short article says, “More and more Gen Zers….” So that would be probably late teens, early middle twenties, college age, young adult age. “More and more Gen Zers on college campuses are turning to Jesus. And now the wave of spiritual awakening has even reached a North Carolina fraternity house at one of the country’s top party schools. It’s definitely not your typical place for a night of prayer and worship. But during a recent gathering called ‘The Night of Hope,’ many young people on the campus decided to give their lives to Christ instead of partying and getting drunk together. Scores of young students came together at East Carolina University’s Kappa Sigma house to listen intently to the Gospel. Some say if this can happen at a frat house, it can happen anywhere.”
Revival is happening now…
And I would agree with that. So revival is going on and it’s happening now. That’s good to hear. So be excited about that. And as I said yesterday to the family at Northwest, keep your foot on the pedal, spiritually speaking. Within God’s grace, this is not to be an arduous work or effort but the Bible says we have an unction. Or it actually means anointing or a prompting from the Holy One, a.k.a., the Holy Spirit. And you know all things.
“If you see something, say something”
And so on any given day, at any given moment, if you sense something or you see something, I like to leverage the phrase from law enforcement: “If you see something, say something.” Well, if you see something in your spirit or with your natural eyes, say something to the Holy Spirit. Say, “Holy Spirit, what should I pray about” or “help me to pray this out in my heavenly prayer language that there might be change in this situation, that justice might be brought about, that revival might break out.”
Keep your foot on the pedal…
So keep your foot on the spiritual pedal through prayer and intentionality in the coming days while we hear things like this every day where there are breakouts and breakthroughs in all sorts of even unlikely places where revival is being birthed and hotspots of the glory and fire of God are emerging and igniting. This is not a time to pull back or stand back and simply spectate, but rather to lean in and pray into what God is doing.
Be like the sons of Issachar…
One of the things that I see in the scriptures is that there was this group of people called the “Sons of Issichar.” And in ancient times, they were called and recognized as noble and good because they had a spirit of discernment about them. They were sober. Just like the Bible says in 1st Peter 4:7. It says, “For very well then for the culmination of all things is at hand. Therefore, be disciplined and sober minded.” Be awake, in other words. Be aroused in your spiritual senses. And it goes on to say, “For the practice of prayer” in the Amplified classic Bible. And so the sons of Issachar were awake and discerning of the time and the season that they were in. And they recognized what God was doing. Why? So that they could join Him in what He was doing.
And so that same spirit of the sons of Issachar should rest on us in this hour. What is God doing? Well, He is re-routing some things in our nation. He is sparking revival. He’s endeavoring to bring forth a third Great Awakening. He wants a big harvest of souls out ahead of His return. And so we should recognize that and join Him in that. And that begins with prayer. Of course, in obedience and intentionality. But also… I’ve been saying this lately that in desiring what He desires and helping Him get what He desires.
We didn’t get what we deserved—we got what we desired…
We didn’t get what we really deserved. Instead, we got what we desired, which was mercy and forgiveness and a fresh start. And we get that every day if we need it. And so I don’t know about you, but that has endeared me and caused my love for Him to grow and increase over the years. So the more I journey… because the Christian life is really a relational journey. The more I journey and get to know Him, the more I love Him, the more I want to serve Him, the more I want to say “yes” to Him and help Him get what He desires.
We’ve got work to do…
And what He desires is a world that hears His name and has been extended the opportunity to profess Him as Lord and be engrafted into the family of God. There are, in some recent estimates, 2.5 billion Christians around the world, people who profess to know Christ. But that means that there perhaps are 5.5 billion that have yet to hear the Gospel or have yet to respond to the call of the creator, the Father of all spirits. And so that means we’ve got work to do.
We must join ourselves to it…
Jesus said in John 9:4, “While there is day I must work, for night is coming.” And if you meditate and translate what that means is that while there’s an opportunity, we must engage with it. We must join ourselves to it. The opportunity that the Lord is extending to us.
Will you be awakened and discerning…
Make no mistake about it. There are opportunities in your day to day. There are opportunities in a variety of ways in your future, in the days ahead. The question is: Will you be awakened and discerning as to those opportunities that we get to step into? Because there’s a whole lot more purpose in the spirit through prayer, in your assigned place in life, in your calling. There’s a whole lot more purpose than we have stepped into yet that is yet before us.
The church was meant to be a conduit for God…
If you woke up this morning and found yourself on planet earth than there is more that God has in mind for you to step into, there’s more that He has in mind for you to enjoy, yes, in your life and in your household and family, but also that He wants to bring through you. Because after all, the church was meant to be a portal, meant to be a conduit through which God could pour Himself, His very presence and His very goodness through the church. That 120 who were in the upper room some 2,000 years ago in the heart of Jerusalem, responding to the command of Jesus to wait. They, on that notable day, when the Spirit of God was poured out and Jesus fulfilled His promise to send the Holy Spirit who would become God in the earth. That group of 120 became a portal for the Holy Spirit to enter human kind’s experience and create an opportunity for all those who would profess His name to enter into that same fullness.
Keep your foot on the accelerator…
And so keep your foot on the accelerator in what God is doing in your life and your prayers and your faith decrees. For you personally, don’t settle for a partially answered prayer or for a partial breakthrough or just a hor d’oeuvre of prosperity. God wants your house to be full with the fulfillment of His promises.
Oh, that’s good!
He wants your arms to be laden down with not only His blessings but His purposes. And He’ll give you the ability to carry out those purposes, to pray out those purposes. He’s granting prayers today. Pastor Lynne has taught us through the years that the Lord grants prayers. In other words, He is the mentor and the teacher and our helper in prayer. And He will grant prayers if we will be spiritually awake and discerning of the opportunities He’s extending to us, to grab hold of those prayers and pray them out in the spirit, pray them out in our understanding, and if we have the utterance to do so.
Rabbi Kahn blurb…
So, I want to read something else to you that I actually transcribed. It’s a short blurb from a short interview that Rabbi Kahn did with another fellow minister. And he said this just recently. I think it was before he was going to do a service at I think Perry Stone’s Church. And Perry asked him in the green room, “Rabbi Kahan, what is God saying to you?” Or what are you perceiving and seeing that God is doing that we ought to join Him in? What are you perceiving and seeing that God is inviting the church, the body of Christ to engage in this hour as you travel around the country, as you pray, as you minister?
And without really any hesitation at all, Jonathan Kahn said, “We’re in a volatile time where things could go one way or another quickly. God has given us a window of mercy, a moment in time where He desires revival to rise and flow throughout our nation and world.” And of course, our individual lives. “This is the time to live “all out” for God.”
Come on now! Hashtag and post that in the chat this morning.
“God has called us or given us a window of time to live ‘all out’ for God. If you’re going to live or do something for Him, or live in freedom, or live free for Him, now is the time. We have an open window, a time of opportunity to do everything we’re going to do for God.”
And I would just punctuate that by adding my own commentary. And that is, that yes, the Lord is provoking and prompting us in ways to say, “Hey, this is your window of opportunity, as He said to live all out for Me. This is the opportunity to clean, to prepare, to trim, to fill your lamps, as we see in the gospels. Jesus shared the story of the 10 virgins. Five wise. Five not so much. And it was the five who chose to press down on the accelerator in their spiritual lives, in their place of prayer. Because prayer, make no mistake about it, from a very practical standpoint, is a key practice and habit and discipline that enables us to be filled and remain filled. And in fact, overflow.
And according to what Jesus said, because the bridegroom is Jesus. The virgins are, I believe, the church. And some will be wise and some not so much. But the ones who will be wise, who will recognize that it’s risky in this hour to live empty, that it is wise and prudent and even urgent, in fact. That’s what I sense the Spirit kind of pressing down on. There’s an urgency now to step into that opportunity to pray, to deny yourself little bits of time to just be lazy or just do your own thing.
Redeem the time…
Yeah, there’ll be plenty of time to still do your own thing. But rather to redeem some time today, this week, and to come before the Lord to not just seek His hand, but seek His face, to come before the Lord and to open your mouth. In the book of Ephesians, Paul writes to the Church at Ephesus and says, “Hey, church, be understanding. Be in the know about…” I use my language… “in the know about the will of the Lord for you in your life.”
And then he goes on to say how we do that. By opening your mouths. By speaking out in psalms and hymns and spiritual or inspired sayings, by praying much in the spirit. By making faith decrees. By practicing the habit of gratitude. By being a person who says what God is saying now. In His Book and in your heart, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Martyred Christians in Nigeria…
Now, there was something else that caught my attention that I want to read to you, and then I want us to pray about it. I want to target a particular area of the world. I’ve been hearing about the martyr of Christians in Nigeria in particular and in a number of places in Africa.
Heidi Baker quote…
Heidi Baker gave an interview with CBN just the other day for an article entitled “Thirty Plus Christians Beheaded in Mozambique as Radical Islamic Terrorists Runs Rampant in Parts of Africa.” Heidi commented as she shared this post from CBN, “Please pray for our brothers.” And you know Heidi’s in that part of the world, right? That’s where her home base is for her missions work, her and her husband. “Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Cabo Delgado, where we live.” Where Roland, her husband, has been ministering these last weeks.
“The violence has surged and fallen in cycles for seven plus years. We are still contending earnestly for lasting peace. Sometimes it can be hard to know how much to post about it because we do not want to overwhelm people with hardship. And there is so much good news to share. But our neighbors truly do need your prayers. I haven’t heard about all the details of the most recent attack yet, but likely some of them, or perhaps many of the victims were in Iris’s network of churches.”
That’s Heidi’s network of churches, Iris.
She goes on to say, “Families we know will be mourning. We mourn with them now and I can hardly wait until I’m strong enough to be with them again. May God have mercy on each wounded heart.”
Prayed…
And so, Father, we just lift up those families right now in Mozambique and surrounding areas.
We pray that you would heal and minister comfort and hope and help to their wounded hearts.
We pray that everything the enemy has attempted to do to take out pastors and Christians and pray-ers, that it would all backfire in the enemy’s face.
And with the loss of those beautiful souls and martyrs may either come forth an even greater harvest of followers of Jesus who rise up, refusing to be quieted.
We pray they rise up and to step into the fray and plant churches and preach the Gospel and pray like there is no tomorrow.
We stand with those in Mozambique, those in Nigeria, and some other nations who’ve experienced great persecution and even martyrdom in the loss of church buildings that have been burned to the ground.
And we unite and say, “No, this cannot stand and this cannot go without a response from heaven.
So we pray, Lord, for a swift and profound response of goodness and glory in that region.
We pray for a supernatural, almost overnight rebuilding of churches.
We pray for the raising up of multitudes who come to know you and follow you and are so on fire for you that it cannot be stopped in the coming days, weeks, and months that lie ahead.
We pray for Heidi and Roland. May the Spirit of God rest on them in a great profoundness.
We stand with them and loose angels and ministering spirits and apply the blood of Jesus over them.
Lord, may they be surrounded by a great encampment of forces from on high from heaven.
We pray you fill them with a fresh supply of the Spirit.
May you strengthen them, body, soul, and spirit for the work that lies ahead.
May you bring into their lives reinforcements and additional soldiers in the army of the Lord.
Prayer for new arenas…
I hear this in my spirit: “new arenas.” We lift up new arenas that you long to reach, Lord, that you have in mind to reach.
Arenas! Maybe it’s arenas in society, arenas in our population, or in commerce or entertainment.
We pray that there would be a way into new arenas, even today in Jesus’ name.
Arenas of technology. Oh yes. Even literally arenas.
Oh, yes, Father, make way, make way, make way.
Begin to prepare for the arenas in Jesus’ name.
Prophetic word came forth…
Prophetic word: Arenas, Recalibration, New Level, Reshape
Ken Olson
10/20/25
“Arenas! It’s part of a recalibration. Level up, level up, Church! It’s time to level up. It’s time to come up. You can’t stay down there. Come up into what I see,” the Spirit of God would say, “into what I know, into what I have for you to function in, as you proceed and go in Jesus’ name.
“Calibrate! There must come a great recalibration. Yes. And it must begin today.
“Recalibrate.
“Recalibrate in your thinking.
“Recalibrate in your perspective.
“Recalibrate in your prayers.
“Come up to another level you didn’t even know was possible. And begin to declare what makes you uncomfortable in your natural understanding because you don’t think it’s possible or you’ve not seen it before or experienced it before. But that’s not a measurement and that’s not a limitation for what the Spirit of God would say I can do. Because I’m doing something new in you and through you and on a level you cannot comprehend. For didn’t My Word say I’m able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond what you can ask, think, hope, imagine, or dream within your natural reality.
“So let My Spirit reshape you. Let My Spirit stretch you in your thinking and lead you in your praying and begin to prophesy in you and through you the wonderful, expansive, next-level works of God that must surely come to pass and must surely come into the experience of humanity in this time.
“Let nothing be held back and nothing be left in reserve.” The Spirit of God would say, “Join Me in My fullness. Join Me in My great work to wrap up this present age and bring it to a certain and flourishing finish, in Jesus’ name.”
