Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Pastor Ken…

Good morning, everyone. Happy Monday. Welcome. Thank you for joining us. Good to have you with us. My name is Ken, and I’m one of the pastors here at Living Word.

Psalm 23…

I want to read through Psalm 23. I love Psalm 23. Psalm 23 says…

“The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.” One translation says, “I have all that I need. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His namesake. Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. Your rod and your staff…” That means your Word and your Spirit. “They comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

What a great promise. Huh?

I love what Jesus stated in John 17:3…

“And this is eternal life.” In other words, you can sum up or distill it into this one concept, truth, or idea. He said, “And this is eternal life, that they might know you…” That we might know you. “The only true God and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

That’s a good point of reset right there. When life gets complicated and off the rails and things are crazy and chaotic, it’s good to be recalibrated and reminded that this is all about Him, knowing Him in relationship with Jesus.

And then one last thing…

I love the short version of the Westminster Catechism, which essentially says “The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” That always sticks with me because that’s what it’s all about it. In the midst of challenges and unknowns and when life gets multiple levels complicated, the Lord always reminds me that I need to come back to the simplicity of what it means to just simply follow and know Jesus.

And so let’s do that this morning…

Father, we just start out today with that reminder.
We start out off with the knowledge that it’s all about you, Lord, and about growing and discovering and connecting with you in and through our lives each and every day.
And so we just humble our hearts before you.
We thank you for this opportunity to surrender our lives, to make ourselves available in worship, to make ourselves available in prayer today.
We lift you up, Lord, and thank you for your faithfulness and for your continual hand of protection and provision and how you supernaturally and graciously guide our lives down the path you have ordained for us.

Dutch Sheets “Give Him 15”…

Now let me read something to you that Dutch Sheets shared on his “Give Him 15” podcast a while ago. And I still find it super relevant and timely. He said…

“My church will now enter a time of acceleration when prophetic words, promises, dreams, and visions intersect their moment. I will activate the assignments I gave them. And as My church engages in prayer, decrees, and corresponding actions functioning in My original intent and purpose for its being, it will connect to a supernatural moment. This is a moment I have planned for revival and reformation. Strength will multiply. Doors will open. Strength’s going to multiply to you today, I prophesy. A fresh supply is going to be deposited within you. Doors are going to open as you go about your way today, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Doors are going to open.”

We declare that in Minnesota! We declare that across this nation. I declare that over you personally.

Doors, it’s time to open. Be thou opened in Jesus’ name. Changes will surge. Transformation of times will come. Crooked paths will be made straight. Realignment to right ways will manifest.”

We declare that over America today.
We declare that over our Minnesota government today.
Realignment to the right ways, to the ways of God’s justice and purposes in Minnesota, in St. Paul.
Restoration of paths of righteousness will be rebuilt.

President Trump has announced…

That we are as a nation, turning ourselves back to God. In May, we’re going to have a national day of prayer to repent and rededicate as a nation. I would add that the old profane, false-god alters are being torn down.
We declare it. We pray it over Minnesota, over America.
Just like it was in ancient times as we see in scripture, the old altars had to be torn down and a fresh altar dedicated to the one and only and true God was erected. And we are seeing that before our eyes. I declare it in Minnesota, in America.

So Dutch goes on to say…

“Move forward into My moment. Move forward into your moment. My move. Your move. My word. Your word. My victory. Your victory.”

That’s the essence of the Gospel right there is His victory is our victory. We step into Christ and we take on His victory. He’s already done the hard work for us. We just have to step into it and take it as our own today.

He says…

“Engage with My purpose into this moment. Engage the battle, says the Lord.”

Now let me read a little bit more. He goes on to say…

“We must now be bold and fearless, not passive onlookers. We must live in the fear of the Lord.” Or you could say the reverential, awe, and respect and worship of Him. “…not the fear of man. Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and countless heroes of faith, we must shake off all passivity and stand strong, not bowing or bending to Baal, no bowing to wickedness, perversion, mutilators of children, demon doctrines, government intimidation, insane ideas, lies or Antichrist agendas. We must embrace a true kingdom-of-God mindset and a remnant warrior’s mentality. We must remove all cowardice and passivity that acts as leaven and spreads. We cannot yield to an inappropriate acceptance of evil, calling it love. Evil breeds loathsome oppression, cruelty, the destruction of families and children and the annihilation of destinies. Sin never brings peaceful solution. It kills, steals, and destroys.”

That’s why we want to root out and repent of sin. Even as representatives of America, we repent for our sin, in Jesus’ name.

“King Jesus says it’s time to engage battle and stand strong. Ephesians 6:10–18 speaks of putting on the armor of God in order to stand against the wiles of the Devil. This passage is timely for this current season in which we have been called to fight for the cause of Christ. The word against in Ephesians 6:12 is the Greek word ‘pros.’ It actually means to step forward. Our word for a professional pro comes from this Greek word. A pro is someone that steps forward from others. The church, or Ecclesia, is being called to advance for the kingdom of God.”

Isn’t that what I said yesterday, that I perceived from what I know in my heart, what the prophets are saying, this is to be a year of movement, momentum, advancement, and taking ground for God’s kingdom.

So he says…

“The church is called to advance for the kingdom. When you see principalities step forward, when you see the powers of darkness step forward, when you see the rulers of the darkness of this age step forward, when you see spiritual wickedness in high places step forward, the Holy Spirit is calling His church: Engage, step forward in Jesus’ name.”

That’s good. Engage. Step forward.

So let’s pray this…

Father, in Jesus’ name, we thank you for breathing truth on us today.
We thank you for revelation and strategy that you are sending toward us and depositing within us even in the spirit, where maybe at times we can’t discern it in our understanding.
But yet, you are deploying and unfolding a strategy in us and through us today.
We pray that the season we have been contending, crying, and believing for would begin to unfold.
Today, we pray for a divine outpouring and an infusion of heaven’s power, a power that can change everything.
We ask for strength and for great boldness upon us individually and upon the church, our leaders.
We pray for strong leaders.
We know that weak leaders leave open the door to the enemy in a nation.
But strong leaders stand up and step forward against forces of evil and doctrines of the Devil and what the enemy would have to trip us up and bind us and hinder us.
So, Father, in this moment, we pray for the coming election in 2026, right here in the States.
We pray, Father, let the cogs of heaven be set in motion right now today to thrust forward strong, God ordained, heaven-sent leaders that are needful for the time ahead.
Lord, we thank you for President Trump.
We thank you for his administration.
We thank you that while he’s not perfect, you are endeavoring to work through him where he’s open and where he’s willing to collaborate with you.
But, Lord, beyond President Trump, beyond this year, even as into the midterm elections, we pray, Lord, make a way where we may not see a way.
Let there come an arising of a new generation of leaders that have hearts that seek your will, that have hearts that are humble and respectful and honorable to the name of Jesus that have a desire, Lord, to do what is just, to do what is holy, to keep their eye on you, even while they legislate and make decisions and do what they do in their positions of authority.
And so we pray, Lord, grant us strong men and women, in whatever position is needed.
Lord, grant them not only in our state capital, but also in our national capital in the House of Representatives, in the Senate, right here in Minnesota, locally in our state government.
