Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Brother DJ…

A quick story! One year ago on Labor Day weekend, we were coming back from Wisconsin. We stopped at the gas station. And then when I was leaving, I felt that God was so nice to us… good service. When somebody does good service, you might want to bless them. So I took some money and gave it to two cashiers that were there on last Labor Day.

Now, this 4th of July weekend, I forgot about this. We stopped at the same gas station again, but different people this time. So I was stepping out of my car to go inside. And next to me was another car. And he had a cast on his arm. You remember, that was a year ago, Labor Day weekend. Now, this is the 4th of July weekend.

So this man had cast and then the eternal Spirit of God quickened me. Pray for this man. I asked him, “Do you have a lot of pain?” Yeah. He was Asian. He said, “Yes, I have a lot of pain.” I said, “Let’s pray for you.”

He never heard about the prayer of a righteous man that availeth much. So I laid my hand on him and prayed, “Father, in the name of Jesus. You were wounded for his transgression. By the stripes of Jesus, he is healed. I command the pain to be gone, be healed, be made whole.” He doesn’t know me. I don’t know him. So I’m not embarrassed because he doesn’t know me! So then, we put our hands on him and prayed over him. We spoke in the name of Jesus, “Be healed, be made whole, pain be gone.” It took maybe two minutes. Okay. “Oh, thank you so much. Thank you so much.”

Now I’m walking in the gas station and I saw a van. They’re taking grandma out of the van in a wheelchair. The Lord has stirred up in me the anointing. So they go in. And we’re waiting. I go to the grandma and the Father. I asked, “Do you want me to pray for your grandma?” Yes. I said, “Father, in the name of Jesus, we lay hands on grandma. Restore her bones, Father, restore her feet, Lord God. In the name of Jesus, we pray to whom much is given much be required.”

The joy filled her soul. The grandma. Hallelujah. The joy fell on her soul, and energy came in the legs. Why? In the name of Jesus! “Be healed in the name of Jesus.” He said Jesus went around doing good healing all and delivering them who are oppressed of that devil.

Now remember the last Labor Day. We blessed two cashiers. This 4th of July weekend, same gas station, we pray for two people. How did that happen? Sowing seed a year before.

This one thing…

In Philippians 3:12, the Apostle Paul said “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

He said, “one thing I do…” He said, “one thing I do, I forget the former thing, I forget.” One thing I do, I look forward.

We’re talking about the one thing. And he said, “I focus on one thing, going to finish it.” God gave a call. One thing and leave it all behind. I focus on one thing.

Then the blind man… Jesus put spit on his eyes and healed his eyes. And then they ask him, “How did you get healed?” He told them that this man “put some spit on my eyes and I got healed.” They asked him who was that man. He said he didn’t know. The man said, “One thing I know: I was blind but now I see.”

One thing… one thing. One thing I do, I forget the past, the former thing and I press toward the high calling of God.

We have to forget the past. One more thing.

Jesus was invited for supper with sisters Mary and Martha. Martha complained to Jesus that “I’m cooking everything. Look at my sister, Mary.” Mary was sitting there with Jesus, listening to Him teach the Word of God. Martha said, “She’s not doing anything.”

But Jesus said, “Martha, Mary has chosen…” one thing. What was the one thing Mary chose? To sit and listen to Jesus. He said, “I will not take this away from Mary.”

You know what? It could be anything. One thing I do… One thing I do—I go to church. One thing I do—I read the Bible. We’re talking about one thing. One thing I do—I pray in tongues. One thing I do—I bring my offering to the storehouse. One thing I do—I sit at His feet and spend time with Him.

Paul say “One thing I do, I forget the past and I’m focusing on the purpose and the plan the Lord gave me so I can finish the race.”

Jesus had a purpose. Paul had a purpose. We have a purpose.
Jesus’ purpose was to destroy the works of the devil.
We’re talking about purpose. One thing He does…
We were born with a purpose. Today, let’s forget the former things, for the Lord is doing a new thing in us and through us. We have a divine purpose.

Sister Cindy…

Thank you, Lord, for your purpose, your prevailing purpose. Lord, you said that your purpose prevails. Nothing can stop your purpose. I’ve got a verse. Ecclesiastes 3:11. “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for them than to be glad and to get and do good as long as they live.”

What is our purpose?

What’s your purpose for us, Lord? Yeah, we have the purpose that we are here to worship you and adore you and to give thanks always, to be your divine-image bearer. Thank you, Lord, that you fitted us out to display your glory.

And I heard somebody say this once, it’s like, what does that mean that we’re fitted in the image of God. It’s like if somebody was to fit you with a glove. So we’re fitted in His image so that He can put us on to display everything. And it takes us all.

Father, we just thank you that through the church, the many sided, variated, faceted glory of God is on display. The wisdom of God today, His good ways of doing and being right… for the world to see… for them to turn to and be healed. For whenever a man turns to the Lord veils are taken off. Wrong ways of doing and thinking are exposed and the light of His glorious grace.

When DJ was talking about that rich young ruler and he ran to Jesus and he said, “Good teacher, what must I do…” He knelt down. He did everything right. He knelt down and said, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit the kingdom?” He was ambitious. And humble in some ways. God put it down to one thing: “Sell everything, give it to the poor and follow Me.” And that’s the call. We are to lose our lives.

We’re to lose our lives and trade it for His life, which is the best deal. Because His ways are higher. He is life. He’s the resurrection and the life. We have a terminal condition, and we have been given the opportunity to choose life, His life. No longer do I live, but Christ… His life. I am His.

O was saying that this morning as I was coming to work because He was visiting me with this. I would say, “Lord, who am I?” And I heard the answer. “I am yours. I’m yours. I’ve been bought with life so precious. My life is not my own. I live for you. I live for the glory of your good name.”

My mom, when I was younger, she would pray with me, “Now I lay me down to sleep.” She’d tell me about Jesus. But the one thing she told me is “In Jesus’ name, all fear has to go.” And when you’re little, you got little fears. So that’s the one thing I did. I would just say “In Jesus’ name.” And I didn’t know, like you were saying that some people don’t know about the name, but in the name you are healed. In the name of Jesus, be healed. Just receive strength. In the name of Jesus, rise up and be healed. No other name under heaven by which man might be saved.

And it’s not a question of you must be saved, you must be born again. And that is life stepping out of the kingdom of sin and death. That law that was our taskmaster into the perfect law of liberty in Christ Jesus. For freedom’s sake, He has set us free.

So we hold on to that freedom. We don’t return to a bondage of slavery to the law. All condemnation, fear went out the back door. Because we are invested in Christ, His life… and His life is flowing through us. His life has set us free. Self reverent-iality is gone out. And now we are God reverential.

We reverence you, Father, in everything. Everything is, “But, God, what do you think? What do you have for me today, which is a prevailing purpose?
