Morning Chapel Prayer Playlist
Morning Chapel Prayer Today

Worship leader Melanie…

Well, good morning, everybody. Welcome to our Friday morning prayer. Thank you so much for joining us. We’re just going to open with prayer and then just worship for a little bit. So however you want to just posture your hearts this morning just in a place of being open to the Holy Spirit, hearing the words of the Father, whatever He wants to say or speak this morning. We want to have eyes to see and ears to hear.

So, Lord, we thank you for another beautiful day with breath in our lungs, with health in our bodies, with vision and with a promise that you work all things together for our good.

And we just ask today, Father, that you so connect our hearts with yours. We want to know your heart. We want to know your thoughts. We want to know your words that speak life and that never return void.

But I pray for even my own heart.

A reminder to reconnect with the Lord…

But Lord, all of us, whoever needs this, that you would just reconnect our hearts this morning if there’s been a disconnect, if there’s been busyness, if there’s been distractions. And I just pray that you refocus us this morning on what truly matters, which is your heart. And we just repent for getting distracted and for choosing other things that we, right now, in this moment, we just say that we turn back to you. We set our gaze upon you. We choose to turn the eyes of our hearts upon Jesus, upon His ways.

And we just thank you for what you’re going to do this morning. And we just honor you. We honor your presence, Holy Spirit. We thank you that you’re here in this room. We thank you that wherever we are, everyone online, we thank you that you are in homes, you’re in cars, you’re in workplaces right now. We just thank you, Holy Spirit, that you dwell on the inside of us.

Brother DJ…

I’m going to give her one scripture before Pastor Mel leads us in worship. I heard earlier before I came over here—rest! Jesus said in Mark 6:31, “Come with Me into private place.” Like we are here. Then Jesus said, “Let’s go out by ourselves to the quiet place and rest a little while.” Then Jesus said… when? When they’re so busy running around, He said, because there are so many people coming in and going out. We are so busy. Even Jesus wants to get some rest! So this morning He’s saying, let’s go to the quiet place. Let’s go to the restful place so we can find rest.

Worship leader Mel…

Thank you for reminding us to rest, Jesus. We just choose to rest in your presence this morning.

[Worship]

Brother DJ…

No stress, but rest, rest. Leave all. Let’s rest in His presence today. Hallelujah. Jesus said, Come unto me…” Scripture comes to me always. Come unto me, all your very burden, tired, bored, don’t know which way to go. Come unto me. Sit by Me. Learn from Me. My yoke is easy. My burden is light. You’ll find rest to your soul.

Be anxious for nothing but with all things, pray, supplicating, giving thanks to the Lord and the peace of God, which passes all understanding…Guard your heart. And your mind in Christ Jesus.

We just read the scripture earlier. Jesus said, “Let’s go out of here and rest a little while.” Because we are so busy in our minds and our hearts. Even Jesus wanted to have a rest because they’re going in and out. There’s so many people… praying going on, feeding going on, healing going on. But now Jesus say, “We need rest. Let’s go away a little while.”

Maybe it could be a vacation. Like Pastor Melanie said. Take a vacation. Empty yourself. Vacate your mind from worries and concern.

He said to enter into My rest. Let’s enter into His rest this morning. Hallelujah. We enter in the holy of holies. We enter by the blood of the lamb. Let’s enter through the blood of Jesus. He says it’s hard for me to rest. I have so many problems. Let the blood of Jesus Christ drive you into His rest this morning.

We enter in the holy of holies, we enter by the blood of the lamb.

You know what Jesus said about the prayer? He said, “When you pray…” Not “if” you pray. When you pray… That tells me what time. What time you pray. You say, “I pray anytime I want to.” Yeah, you can. How about your job? Can you say, “I can go to work anytime I want to.” No. You’ll be fired. No, you start at nine o’clock and you go home at five. Right?

“Oh, I pray anytime.” Yes. Jesus said men should pray always and not faint. But then He teaches us, “When you pray…” What time you pray?

And then He says, “Go to your room.” That will be location. Where do you pray? What time you pray? Where do you pray?

Then He said, “Shut the door.” Shut the door privately and pray. He said, “And when the Lord God, our Father, see you praying in secret, you know what He’ll do? He’ll reward you openly.” He will reward us openly.

He said, “Pray like this. Our Father…” He said, “How do I pray? Our Father, who is in heaven, holy is your name. Powerful is your name. Wonderful is your name. Mighty is your name. Healer is your name. Provider is your name.”

What is His name? Jehovah Rafah!

El Shaddai, our Father who’s in heaven, holy is your name. Wonderful is your praise. Hallelujah.

Let your kingdom come, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. So that means if we pray the will of God come from heaven. Your will be done on earth. When we pray, His will is done on earth as it is in heaven in our life and others we are praying for.

Forgive is a key word…

Give us today our daily bread. Forgive! Forgive is the key word. Forgive others as we are forgiven.

He said when you start praying, if you at ought against anyone, forgive them. Forgive them quickly. So our Father will forgive us. Pray like this…

When Jesus prayed at the Mount of Olives…

I was reading this morning, Jesus goes to pray. He goes to the Mount of Olives. He said to His disciples, “I’m going to go pray. Please pray.” The Son of God asked them to pray. And He start going to prayer. He said, “Lord, if it’s your will, please take this cup away. Oh, please help.” And then He prayed. “But nevertheless, your will be done.”

And you know what happened? Angels came, ministering spirits came and the Bible said they strengthened Him.

So when we pray, the Spirit of God strengthens us.

When He got back to His disciples, what were they doing? Sleeping! What happened? When the time come to pray, the enemy put sleep on us.

Sister Cindy…

The Lord wakes us up. The Lord alures us. He taps us on the shoulder. Father, you show us how things really look. Everything. I will just say everything. Father, we give to you. Just right from the beginning you said times of prayer.

It’s good to start the day with our Father on our heart and mind and just give an offering to Him. Say, “Father, I offer to you today in all its fullness, Lord.”

And He said to pray always. How do we do that in the natural? We can’t do that. Our attention gets distracted.

But, Father, we give you the reigns of our heart and mind. You’re alluring us. You allure us with your presence. And you show us things. Allure us with your grace and you delight us.

And so, Father, every time we breathe in and out, we just declare and decree this from the very beginning of the day, “our breath is yours.” Every day we breathe in and breathe out. It’s a prayer to you. We offer it to you. And we thank you, Lord.

Just little things in the morning that set the whole day right. And that we give our attention to you. And we set ourselves as a seal upon your heart that you, Father, have full power and vested authority, power of attorney to steer and direct us and allure us into your presence of mind, to know and grow and to be living, breathing prayers.

Word came forth…

Before we close, I felt to share a word from the Lord. I don’t know if it’s someone online or someone here, but I hear the Lord say that He is always speaking, whether logos or rhema. Whether in His written word or in our hearts.

I feel like there’s someone, maybe some of you that have been asking the Lord for answers and just waiting patiently. And I feel like His encouragement to us this morning is what we started with to rest and be rested and be still. And in that place of connection, in that place of intimacy with the Lord and rest in His presence, that’s when you can hear.

And I’ve done this myself, so this is not a correction. But sometimes we’re not listening and He’s actually speaking. And we’re blaming God for not speaking. We’re like, “Why aren’t you talking, Jesus?” And He’s like, “I am. I need you to come away with Me and rest.” So that we can listen to what the Father is saying.

And so He just wants to encourage us with that this morning, whoever that’s for. Get with the Lord and ask Him to open up your ears. Ask Him to open up your ears to hear what He’s saying.

So we just thank you, Jesus.
