Mary led group in worship…

Pastor Ray prayed…

We yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit. It’s something we have to do every day, all throughout the day. He’ll show us how to pray and what to pray. Holy Spirit, we ask You to fall fresh upon us. Thank You for a refreshing by Your precious Holy Spirit today. We pray that over the body of Christ, that there would be a great refreshing and restoration and wellness and joyfulness.

Mary led group to sing in the spirit…

Pastor Ray shared…

It’s never a waste of time to spend time lifting Him up, magnifying who He is and reminding ourselves what He’s done for us. Time spent in His presence brings change in us. There’s a way that it works and the Holy Spirit works within us to bring us to places where we’ve never been before and show us where to go and how to do it.

Thank You for Your presence, Lord.

You know the phrase, “just one touch.” One touch from Him changes everything. We’ve all experienced change in our lives or we wouldn’t be here. We’ve experienced His change, first of all, by being born again and then, secondly, by being baptized in the Holy Spirit. Speaking to one another, singing psalms and hymns and lifting up our voices to Him. When we sing about how good the Lord is, I think about how careful Jesus was to take His time with everyone. He never avoided confrontations. And He didn’t avoid opportunities to bring about change in people’s lives. No matter how much He had ministered that particular day when the crowd followed Him wherever He went, He took time with them. Laid hands on the sick. He went about doing good. And that brought change.

Speaking of doing good, I read this about a young lady. She always had it on her heart to be a ballerina dancer. She went to Washington DC and joined a group and worked in that area but she couldn’t make enough money to support herself. So she took a job at a restaurant as a server. The restaurant she worked at was extremely liberal. She’s black. Three white young men come in and they had red hats on. You can guess what the hats said. “Make America Great Again.” She thinks, “Oh no…” She’s supposed to wait on them. She sees things in a different way than they do. They’re young men. She decided to do good. She served them in every right way with the right kind of heart and went all out. They were very responsive to her and treated her really well. After the meal, three young men, I mean, how big can the bill be for lunch? One man paid for all three of them and gave her the card. When she picked it up after they left, her tip was $450. That was way over and above! They wrote on the receipt how beautiful and how great she was and how awesome the service was and that if people would just walk in love and do good, it would bring about great change all across our country. In the article, they printed out the receipt so you could see the $450 tip. That made so much difference in her life. I was thinking about that with Jesus. He’s so good, He went about spending time with people who had needs. Naturally it brought change and also spiritually brought change in people’s lives.

I wanted to read something to you today. This is from F.F. Bosworth. We had sister Billye Brim here last week. I suggest you go online and view Saturday evening’s message. She had more time to share with us at that service. She talked about revival and an awakening. She downloaded into our hearts, that we have to keep up and calling for it. We get gung ho on something and we cover it and pray about and then something else comes up and we take our attention off of it. Since I was baptized in the Holy Ghost, I’ve always had something about revival in my heart. I saw this article from F.F. Bosworth. He said, “Nothing can hinder a revival in the church that prays.” Pastor Mac tells us if you don’t quit, you win.

How to Have a Revival

Nothing can hinder a revival in the church that prays “according to the power that worketh in us.” (Eph. 3:20)

Jesus taught “that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” Luke 18:1. Two things remember: “First, always to pray,” and second, “Not to faint,” or as Weymouth translates it, “Never lose heart.”

Have you ever been around someone that lost their heart? Not naturally. They just lost their heart for the things of God and they just didn’t go on. We don’t want to do that.

This means that Christians should never be without a definite petition before the throne of God, with their minds fully made up to get the answer.

So every time we come here to pray, I never ever come corporately or individually without expecting an answer. Do you? What kind of prayer would that be?

The chief ingredient in real prayer is the purpose to get the answer. Jesus said, “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19) The main thing that we are to agree on is that we will not stop praying until we know we have the answer.

I like that. That’s a different twist, a different way of looking at agreement. We’re agreeing that we’re going to keep on praying until we see the answer.

The mere asking without importunity, without a purpose to get the answer is not what the Bible means by prayer. Some people do not believe God will answer prayer at all; others think He will do so once in a great while, but let me say, friends, He always answers real prayer, for Jesus said, “Everyone that asketh receiveth.” (Matt. 7:8)

When men and women are yielded to God so that they can pray acceptably, they always receive the answer unless they “faint” or “lose heart.” There is only one thing that hinders anyone from praying acceptably to God, and that is his own stubborn will; so I repeat, everyone who really asks receives. There are comparatively few in our day who have learned to “pray through.”

Pray through is an “old school” term. Praying through. You don’t even hear it that much anymore. To pray through until you have the answer. And it’s not about it being manifested. It’s about that you know that you know you’ve prayed it through to victory.

Nearly everyone goes through a daily routine of prayer, but there is just one here and there who asks with his mind made up to prevail with God for the answer, and it is not real prayer until he is thus determined. We are to “ask in faith, nothing wavering.” (James 1:6)

If it is right to pray for a revival, then it is wrong to stop praying until we know we are heard. If we undertake to pray for a thing, then we ought to either follow it up until we got the answer or withdraw the petition.

There are thousands of God’s children who have had their sins forgiven, their hearts purified through the blood of Christ, and who would not do wrong for anything, but out of this multitude there is only one here and there that is definitely by prayer undertaking any project for God and the salvation of souls. They hope for it; they want it; they go through the form of asking for it in family prayer, but do not stir themselves up to take hold of God, Isa. 64:7, and see the thing brought to pass. Elijah did, Jacob did, Daniel did, the one hundred and twenty did, some today do, and we all should. Among the one hundred and twenty there wasn’t even one that was not of “one accord” in importunity. Without exception they prayed until they were perfectly adjusted and in tune with God, and when that is done, the devil has to take a back seat. When God’s people unite in prayer with perfect hearts it matters not how strongly the devil may entrench himself, his strongholds can be pulled down. We are living in a day when to us the manifestations of God’s power seem wonderful, but the revivals and the power of God we see are small compared to what God wants them to be. [end excerpt]

He has a different plan. What is that? Absolute manifestation of the Spirit, His glory all over the earth. Don’t you agree? Up here on our stage, we have a picture of the city of Minneapolis. It’s pretty. But a lot of the city is lost and going to hell. So if we had a picture of our nation, or a picture of the earth… Sandy and I go every year to France where less than one percent of the people are born again in the whole nation! Thank God for America and for the move of the Holy Ghost that’s already moved from one coast to the other. We need another outpouring. We need it. Desperately! We’re not going to quit and give up to just the status quo in the United States. All the controversies going on right now, I mean, there are so many other things that are so much more important than what is dominating the news these days. We’re praying for our country and confessing this confession over our President and Vice President and leaders. Why do we do it? First of all, we’re commanded to do it. First pray for kings and those in positions in authority that it will go well with us. We want a fresh awakening to move from one side of the country to the other, state after state after state, city after city after city… the glory of God. That’s what we’re calling for and we’re not going to quit or give up. If we don’t quit, we win.

Prayed confession for the United States and President Trump…

Father, in the name of Jesus and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff, and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them, and let them not depart from Your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by Your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies, and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame. We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our congress, our supreme court, our military leaders, and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority You have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival, and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders, and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual, and devilish to depart and vanish until Your mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy, and prosperity in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pastor Ray continued…

Let’s now all pray in the Spirit. There are many things that need to happen so we lift up every leader. But there are things we don’t have a clue about. God does. And by His Spirit we can pray it out.

Group prays in the Spirit…

We send the supply of the Holy Spirit to them
Not just to the unsaved but to the saved too… all over the earth
The ministry and power of the Holy Spirit… that voice that says “come unto me…”
Today… today!
Thank You, Father, for the authority You put on each of us through the blood of Jesus
We apply it all over America
We ask for direction from heaven for wisdom, right decisions, right plans that our nation will be one under God
Undivided and brought together again… a miracle
It’s supernatural
