Prayer Summary for Wednesday, July 12, 2017

Prayed…

Thank You, Lord, for the power of Your Holy Spirit
Again, today, we welcome Your presence
We know You are in us but we also know that there is a manifestation of Your presence
A precious increase of Your presence when we yield for more
And we want more
We will tell You again today, Lord
We want more
We need more
We are hungry for more of that presence to be manifested in our lives
So we yield to it, we trust You for it
Thank You for Your presence here this morning
Hallelujah

The following is a prayer for our nation by Pastor Lynne Hammond:

Father, in the name of Jesus, and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them and let them not depart from your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way. Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame.

We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Military leaders and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority you have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual and devilish to depart and vanish until Your, mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy and prosperity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

So we expect to see it
We expect to witness it
That voice of rejoicing, a sound of rejoicing in America once again
Thank You, Father – the joy of the Lord ringing, moving, rolling out across the United States
We come before You once again, Lord
Loving on You
Not only do we lift up our leaders but we magnify and lift up Your precious holy name
High above every situation
Jesus be glorified – get glory!
We give You honor, we give You glory this morning
You are worthy of all the praise and all of the worship
Thank You, Father

Ms. Annie led us singing “Send Your Fire, the Oil, the Wind and the Rain”

Pastor Ray shared…

There were many songs that were new songs during the outpouring that took place in Canada. It was a Vineyard Church, a different kind of music maybe then what we heard up unto that point. But David Ruis was one of the worship leaders. He had a song he would sing and the whole thing was that there has got to be more. And we know there is more. There is more than what we had. There is more than yesterday. We need Him more today than we needed Him yesterday but there is more today than there was yesterday because if we keep opening ourselves up to the more, we are going to get it.

And more is in the change. So when we say, “Well, Lord, we want a change. We want change in us. We want change in our churches. We are asking for change in our cities. We are asking for change in our nation.” There is change when we ask for change, while we are asking, change is happening. Hallelujah.

And we don’t know internally what we need but we just know we need it. So, we just open up and yield ourselves to the change. We are so grateful that we get to join together every morning like this. I am so thankful that just while Ms. Annie lifts up in worship, right in that place, right there, we are changed. That’s a prayer. Prayer maybe a lot of times is something we maybe didn’t even think it was. But we are praying, lifting our voices in one accord.

I love that song about the wind. Because when the wind blows, things change. Sandy and I were sitting on our deck. It’s pretty sticky outside and we were eating. We just thought we have to be outside. And so all of sudden there would be like a little breeze and the trees would start moving. We just would go “awh…” A breeze, wind and you know how that is, you don’t know where it comes from. All of sudden it just blows. But you know there are suddenlies that will take place in our lives. I am sure that we have all experience it. I know I have. One day it was one way and then next day it was a different way. Because the wind blew and it wasn’t natural wind, it was supernatural wind from heaven, the wind of the Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord.

The following excerpt was taken from Herald of His Coming:

In the Hebrides Revival some of that agony was recovered, the lost agony for the souls. And people gathered for whole nights of prayer but it was no ordinary prayer meeting. [I like extra ordinary supernatural prayer meetings that He’s leading, not us, not me.] The leader said that in those prayer meetings, they moved out of the realms of the common and the natural into the sphere of the supernatural.

In one of their services the preacher stopped in the midst of His message and he asked the little lad by the name of Donald to lead them in prayer. The little boy stands. He’s not praying for more than 5 minutes when God’s sweeps into the Church. [That’s the wind. The wind blew in.] The remarkable thing about that great meeting is this. That while that was happening in the Church, fisherman out in their fishing boat, men behind their lumes, men at the pit bank, a merchant out with his van, and school teachers examining their papers all where gripped by God. [From just a 3 or 4 minute prayer and the wind blew into the Church but the power of the Holy Spirit was sensed way out.]

One man said he walked along that country road and found in one place three men lying on their faces so distressed about their souls that they could not talk. Yet they were never near the meeting. This is revival. Agonized, wrestling means to get down before God and stay down before Him until You get ahold of the horns of the altar and prevail. This kind of wrestling involves pleading, arguing, agony, sweat, persevering, persistent seeking, asking and knocking until something drops from the laden skies. Are mothers and fathers doing this today for their children who are lost?

The sooner we confess that we have lost our agony for souls, the better it will be for the cause of Christ. Let us face the grim, startling fact that we are becoming used to the thud of lost souls as they tramp the road to a Christless eternity. It appears that we have lost the power to weep, to wrestle, to plead, and to agonize over lost souls. The multitudes out of Christ have no conviction regarding their lost condition, simply because we lack deep conviction about their iniquitous condition and eternal woe.

Crusades, Conferences and Man’s Machinery Won’t Bring Revival

Indeed, it is true that we have a multiplicity of evangelistic campaigns, crusades, and what we call revival meetings. These campaigns come and go, but the cities, towns and villages are seemingly as lost as ever. We have become too professional, mechanical and cold in our effort to reach souls. Those we try to win recognize no warmth, no passion, no agony, no real alarm, and no tears over their lost condition. They see no evidence of conflict on our part to warn them of the errors of their way. All they see in our personal witness is a fitful, languid, listlessness, so they continue their godless ways.

God pity us if we are content with forming crusades, convening conferences, going through revival efforts, enlisting men and money for so-called gospel efforts and missionary machinery!

We try to persuade without passion, to win without conquest. It is impossible to win souls with cold hearts and dry eyes.

Instead of mourning, fasting, and intercession, it is eating and drinking; fun, frolic, and rousing hilarity today, and then we wonder why folk are not saved. Deep humility of soul and prayer in the upper room prepare the way for God to come.

The reason there is no intercession, no agonizing, no weeping “between the porch and altar” is that God’s people are not awake to the condition of the day. The majority feel that in every direction there is abundant proof of church is not awake.

Ms. Annie led in singing “Have Mercy on Us, Our Redeemer”

Continued praying…

Eyes to see opportunities
Opportunities that are all around us, Father
To speak Your Words into the hearts
For truth, move upon the hearts, Father
Let us be open, God, to be moved out of our comfort
To be moved out of what is familiar, what is convenient
To be open, to be yielded
To reach out to those that need to know You
Oh, Father, they are all around us
I pray that we would embrace opportunities
Divine connections, God
We are the solution, we are the answer
We carry the hope that would anchor the souls
For the souls, God
We call them in, we call them in by the droves
Come in! Come in!
Feet! Blessed are those feet that bring the good news
We bless those feet
We order those steps – ordered of the Lord
It’s easy, it’s easy
Lord, I just thank You that we each have a piece of bread that can be broken to feed the multitudes
To feed the hungry, God
A move on the hearts
Not life as usual – shifting
There is a light, a light, a shining light
Rising, arising, arising
A light over our city!
The name above every name – Jesus!
Look to that name! Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!
There is no other way – Jesus!

We thank You for helping us to realign our hearts with Yours, Father
We have a desire to bring all the souls into the kingdom
Praying that You would use us Lord, help us, Father
Open our eyes and our ears
That we would walk in Your ways Father
Not by power or might but by Your Spirit
Yielding to Your Spirit and Your way
That You would order our steps every single day
So as we stand praying we forgive, we let go, Father
That You would help us and lead us and guide us
It is the season for change, Father
Change is already here – we see it, we know it
And we want to walk in Your ways, Father
Awaken us, Father, awake to Your Spirit!
Awake! Awake! Awake!
It’s our desire, Father!
That Your Holy Spirit would remove anything in us that would cause us not to walk in Your ways, to not to hear – remove!
We yield to Your way, Father, Yes, Lord! Yes, Lord!
Use us for revival in these days
Being at the right place doing the right thing
Thank You, Father
Nothing is impossible with You, God
So use us for Your will and for Your glory
Use us, Father, and many souls will come to You
As You direct us, lead us, and guide us
And we will rejoice in that day!
And we will leave knowing that we have done all and everything that You have called us to do
And we thank You, Father, and give You all the glory

Let’s get that picture before our hearts, the lost coming in by the droves
Not just hundreds but thousands coming in as we do our part and yield from our hearts and pray
Thank You, Father
You have given us the strength and authority and the anointing
To do the things You have called us to do in You
We give You all the praise, honor, and thanksgiving today
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
