I want to read something from the Revival Study Bible. It’s something about revival. Sister Billye is coming this weekend. About America and the elections, she said, “There is only one thing that’s going to work for America. It’s not the election. It’s revival for America.” This excerpt is from Duncan Campbell and it’s a commentary about a couple different moves of God, revivals.

[begin quote]
Duncan Campbell on the 1949 Isle of Lewis Revival
“When God Comes Down”

What do you mean by revival? There are a great many views held by people. We say, “Are you going out to the Revival?” or “We’re having a revival crusade.” There is a world of difference between a crusade and special efforts to bring Christ to people. But, dear people, that is not revival. I thank God for every soul brought to Christ through our special seasons of blessing, conferences, and conventions. But in revival, the community suddenly becomes conscious of the presence of God in a matter of hours—not days. Something is happening that draws men and women to the house of God. You find within hours, scores of men and women crying to God for mercy.

You’ve heard the history of the revival of Jonathan Edwards in America, the Welsh Revival, or the more recent Lewis Revival. That is what happened when God came down. Suddenly men and women all over the town were gripped by the fear of God. How did it happen? One evening an old woman, eighty-four years of age and blind, had a vision. Don’t ask me to explain this vision because I cannot—but strange things happen when God begins to move. This dear old lady saw in the vision the church of our fathers crowded with young people and saw a strange minister in the pulpit. She was so impressed by this revelation she sent for the minister.

The parish minister was a God-fearing man, a man that longed to see God work. He had tried ever so many things to get youth of the parish interested, but not one single teenager attended the church. So what did this dear old lady say to him? “I’m sure, Mr. McKay, you are longing to see God work. What about calling your office bearers together and suggest to them that you spend two nights a week waiting upon Him? You’ve tried missions; you’ve tried special evangelists. But, Mr. McKay, have you tried God?” (DC) [end quote]

Obviously that took root and he got it. That’s describing how this last move of God took place where everyone in the community could sense His presence. We don’t have that yet. We need it. We’re open to it and we want it. I want Brooklyn Park to be so saturated with His presence that people are on their knees. Not just so they can come to this church… but to come to Him! It’s not for church growth. It’s for His move for the souls to come in and then we’re out of here.

Duncan Campbell based this on Psalm 42. In this Bible, the headline is “Yearning for God in the Midst of Distress.” I’ll read five verses. “As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually say to me, “Where is your God?” 4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude;
I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast. 5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.” (Ps 42:1–5 NKJV)

David is speaking to himself. “Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.” What’s that like? Overcoming, supernatural, holy, healthy, wealthy, prosperous, encouraging, joyful, peaceful, restful… It goes on and on. For our God, the King of Kings, has already provided these things through His Son on the cross. So we need to do what we need to do, do what we’ve been given to do, be responsible for what God has called us personally to do. Just do it. Do it to the best that we can do it. We know it’s not by works. It’s yielding to Him. That’s why I’ve always loved that the presence of God would saturate and move on the people. I believe once you’ve experienced that, you can’t really be totally satisfied without it. It causes that yearning, that thirst. Verse two, My soul thirst for the living God. Thank You, Lord.

Prayed…

A turning, a turning
Open that up, open that up
It is the day, it is the time, it is the hour to shake that off, to shake loose from that and to arise to that place
Anew, anew, greater, furtherance
Operations of Your Spirit, to operate in the Spirit, by the Spirit, and through the Spirit
Manifestations of the Holy Spirit through your vessels
There is a mandate from God
We plead the blood of Jesus over that mandate—there will be a fulfilling of that mandate
Your man, Father, will fulfill the mandate—every jot and tittle
We undergird it, lifting, lifting, lifting it, lifting him
It is a divine operation from You, Lord
It’s a mandate, a way to follow, a call
Open the eyes, Lord
All the words from heaven
Standing in the place with You, Lord
No disruption, the mandate will be fulfilled ha, ha, ha, ha
We believe it and we hold to it, Lord
Wisdom from heaven—standing power, standing power
Hearing the voice of the Good Shepherd—no other voice in the name of Jesus
The other ones, the other mandates—the blood, the blood

I got a mandate to delete some things. You know how you do that on your computer, you just click it and delete it. It’s time to delete some activity that’s holding the Church out of the plan and purpose that God has called the Church to walk in. Delete. I just heard it in the prayers being prayed. As members of the body of Christ, we need to take the Devil’s mandate and delete the activity, delete the words, delete the activities and influence of the enemy.

Continued praying…

We take authority over it, over that influence
We charge you in the name of Jesus to stop, cease, desist your demonic influence in the Church
Lying, deceiving, religious spirits—get out!
Be removed, be stopped in your tracks
The blood of Jesus is against you
We declare the blood over it
Freedom and liberty in the name of Jesus

Some things are set up to look right, but they’ve been set up by the enemy to move the eyes of the body in another way. It’s a set up. We put a stop to that.

Continued praying…

We override you in the name of Jesus
We delete you!
Deception, blinding spirits, we take authority over you in Jesus’ name
We hold the blood against you
We take authority over those activities
We stop that too
There’s a supply there—there’s more than enough
It’s heaven sent—power from heaven
Power that raised Jesus from the dead
Limitations—Get out so the revelations can come forth
Seducing, lying spirits in the name of Jesus, we take authority over you
That is a lie, a deception—no more!
Redemption, redemption
Eyes, be opened up
Miracles, supernatural signs and wonders
They’re good—they’re assignments for the Church right now!
We grab hold by faith and we see it with the eyes of our faith
Leaders rising up in their places
No boundaries, an abundance now
