Jerre led in worship and prayer…

♪ In this open heaven, we’re lifting our hands, praising Your name in the falling rain… ♪

Let’s lift up holy hands today. Father, thank You for making these hands holy hands. Father, we don’t lift them up for anybody else, but we lift up the holy hands that You have created in and through the blood of the Lamb. And, Lord, today we honor You. We reverence You. We glorify You. We lift up Your name today with holy hands in the sanctuary. Holy hands that You have given us to bless and in those holy hands, through those holy hands, they are a conduit of Your power. Hallelujah!

We’re here, Father, to do Your will. Holy Spirit, we’re trusting You today to give us the words from the throne, specifically for this time. All things the Father sees. There’s no cell hidden that He doesn’t know about. So Lord, we’re leaning in to the Holy Ghost today. We thank You and praise You that You use us and we’re so willing to say anything, declare anything that You want declared this day in Jesus’ name. We cast all our cares upon You.

Even though it was just last Friday evening when a lot of things burst on the scene in France, it almost seems like it’s more than just last Friday because of the continuing events. Just before I came in, I heard two Israeli’s were stabbed to death. Now. It’s ongoing. And we know that the enemy is trying to derail, number one, the Church, get the Church on its knees and not in a spiritual way.

For those of you who are tuning in, I want to make you aware of the prayers that were prayed this week, especially Tuesday. The GPAN report was long, maybe five pages, but we recorded some things that Pastor Mac said on Sunday about unity in the body, about not letting the enemy derail our plans. “I’m not going to do that because I’m afraid.” Well, what’s that? Fear. Then isn’t it true that he’s already won in a way?

Then also Annie who plays keyboards on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday has a lot of insight into Islam, Arabs, Muslims from way back. We recorded things that she said on that day. If you don’t know how to get that GPAN report, just go on the Living Word website and click on Ministries, Prayer, and then you’ll see GPAN, click that. Then you can go back through the archives.

Sandy and I have a salon that we go to. We go to the same younger lady that we’re connected to. She’s open to the things of the Lord. She’s been here once, but her husband came up another way in another denomination. So she’s in and then she’s kind of out. This week, one of the first things she said was, “I’m really sorry and disturbed by all the things that have happened. I know that you and Sandy are very connected to France.” Which we are. And she said, “I’m definitely praying for them.” Then she said, “I don’t really know how to say this…” It’s interesting to hear somebody that’s not in the same “river” that we’re in. She said, “The only thing I can think of to pray for them is enlightenment for the people that are doing all these nasty things.” I was so impressed with that.

We have a big sign on the freeway that has the church name and then there’s a screen that announces upcoming events and cute little sayings. This morning it said, “It’s not how you start. It’s how you finish.” That’s so true. Then I saw it in another way. It is actually kind of, it can be how you start and that will affect how you finish. I remember Pastor Lynne did this whole message on the Minnesota Vikings. One year they won every game except the last game. So if you win all the games but you lose the last game, you lose. Isn’t that right? She did a message on that. So I saw this, “start well and end well.”

I was thinking about the people in France and I’m so glad when you started praying about hidden cells uncovered. We’ve been praying things like that this week. I was so glad that they quickly uncovered the “cell” so to speak, the mastermind of the events that took place Friday. Then this morning, the TV reported him to be dead. There was no remorse from him. I was thinking about how they started out wrong and they really ended up wrong. They were deceived.

Matthew 21:28–32 says, “But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. 29 He answered and said, I will not…” That’s not the reply you want to hear. But then afterwards, he changed his mind. And he went. The verse 30, “And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. 31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.” Is He saying you have to be a tax collector or a harlot? No. He’s saying they’ll be there. Why? Because they finished right. They changed. There were problems with the tax collectors and harlots in that day. He’s talking about sinners. So then verse 32, “For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him…” That’s the key. They did believe Him. “…and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.”

Erika and I were talking about it. This is a prayer group. We believe to be led and directed by the Holy Spirit. But we were talking about something that Patsy Cameneti brought out in her book, Praying in the Last Days. She said some things about who we pray for and not that one person is more important than the other. I want to be focused on the best way, God’s way. I thought of that yesterday. We were praying for the President, the head of France, that he not back down or slack off, but then the people that he is shepherding them, that they would not back off either. That they would not get in a place of complacency and think things are going to be the way they were before. Things are not the same. So our eyes and ears, we have to be alert and it’s not just in the spirit, it’s in the natural too. When we see something and something comes up, we say something. We’re not going to be put down because we said something.

Just while we were right in that place, it came up again to me, the scripture about missing your day of visitation in Luke… Okay, now we can have a good visitation, a visitation from God. He’s speaking to His people. He’s doing miraculous things among His people. We don’t want to miss that. I don’t want to miss it because God is working. Just going along with what Ray shared, the prayer for the people in authority, after 9/11, there was a time when the Church and the world had an opportunity to continue down a road, the tragic events turned many hearts to the Lord. But what happened? They kind of missed the day of visitation. They started to live their lives like before. We can’t do that. That is one prayer that I’m praying now that the Church not miss her day of visitation. Opportunity to seize the opportunity. The Devil has created some circumstances but the Church should be wise enough and anointed enough to jump and take hold of the situation and turn it to the glory of God. We’re praying about that.

My heart has been drawn to Patsy’s book, For Such a Time as This: Praying in the Last Days.

“Unless you are certain that you are authorized to pray in a broader circumference, which includes kings, presidents, and other people of authority and influence, you may never be bold enough to extend your prayers to those wider arenas. Your authorization and responsibility to pray for the kinds of people required to prepare the way of the Lord must be settled.”

So the Church is settling some things now. The Church isn’t back in a corner wondering, “I don’t know… should I…” No! We’re going to settle it through the inerrant Word of God. So we know God created man in His image and His likeness and He said to be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth.

“Subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Did you get that? “God created man to have dominion over the earth and over everything He had made in it. He also gave man the authority and the glory and power to do the job He had commanded him to do.” He gave them the authority, the glory, the power to do the job. Amen?

“Genesis 2:15, ‘Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and to keep it.’ When God created man and crowned him with glory and honor and give him dominion, he gave man a job. God did not intend for man to work in a toiling sense, but as a steward and keeper. He was put in the garden to guard it. But the extent of his dominion went beyond the garden; it included the whole earth.”

The garden was the starting point.

“Psalm 115:16 ‘The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; but the earth He has given to the children of men.’ Psalm 115:16 says that Heaven belongs to God… We could say heaven is the way it is because in Heaven God always gets His way. … Psalm 116 goes on to say that God has given the earth to the children of men, which also explains many things. The earth is in the condition it’s in because it belongs to man. Crime, suffering, war, and poverty are not the way God intended for things to be on the earth. It certainly is not the way He created it, nor was it in that state when He delegated it to man. How did it get in the shape it is now? The dominion that God gave man was not just a blessing: dominion is a vocation.”

Did you get that? It’s a vocation of the Church of the living God. That means it’s a job. It’s what we’re supposed to do.

“You not only have a right in Christ, but you also have a responsibility to simply say ‘No!’ when the devil tries to attack you in any way! … First of all, the devil hopes you don’t find out that you do have authority. Second, if you know you have authority and dominion, he just hopes you won’t use it. Having authority but not using it will yield the same results as not having any authority at all. The devil will be able to take territory from you regardless.”

“An outlined directive to pray for all men is given to us in First Timothy 2:1 –4, Therefore, all men are included in our garden as part of our responsibility for prayer. ‘Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.’ Paul’s urgent instruction to his spiritual son, Timothy, listed various kinds of prayers to be made for all men.” So we know we can use those kinds of prayer, amen?

“Notice that in verse one we are instructed to pray for all men. And verse four explains why, stating that God wants all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. He paid the price by the blood of His own Son for all men to be saved. If our desire, however, is for just a family member or a few friends to come into our church, then the strategy placed in this scripture may be overlooked. It may be obeyed and performed dutifully, as I did, but it will not be done form the heart.”

Patsy went on to say that she was at Rhema and she heard brother Hagin say we’re to pray for all nations. And she goes, “Yeah, that’s good. Pray for those in authority,” but her heart wasn’t in it. But when you understand the scripture that we pray for all men, that all would be saved that we would live a godly and peaceful life. And this is the part we really want to get to here. This is what Pastor Ray was talking about.

“…by targeting kings and people in positions of authority, the ‘all men’ under the influence of those persons will be affected. You can actually affect more people in prayer when you pray for those in authority over them.”

The Holy Spirit as we said, we’re looking for His leading and guidance. Every time we get together, He inspires us to go one way or the other. But when we pray for all men, we’re assuring it’ll go down the chair and the line.

Pastor Ray shared…

We started out this week by praying Psalm 91. While Erika was praying, my heart went out to Israel too, for those things that have been planned against the people of Israel. I was reminded how after 9/11 we went to Israel. Every day, we’d start out by praying Psalm 91. We went wherever Billye was led to go. We didn’t shrink back in fear but we went where we were meant to go. We used Psalm 91 for the protection and believed by faith when we spoke it. I asked Mary is she would sing that for us now.

Mary sang Psalm 91…
