Last evening on the drive home from church, I was praying in other tongues. I was watching over what I was praying, listening. I heard “the call.” That kept coming up. I just went with praying about that until I got home. Then I forgot about it. I forgot about it until I was back driving on the same road this morning. “The call.” We all have a call. He calls us. We know about all that. But this morning I heard this—that the call doesn’t adjust to us. We adjust to the call. And it’s not just a one-time adjustment. It’s all along the way—the way that we walk, the call that we have, the path that He’s given us to walk out. All along the way, we make adjustments. And it can be every day. The adjustments are to help us to stay in what we personally have been called into and then, of course, corporately together. Sometimes we’d like to have the call to adjust to us, to what we’ve been doing or what we’d like to do. An example would be Saul being changed on the road to Damascus and then having his name changed to Paul (Acts 9). There’s an adjustment that was made immediately and then he walked into it further as he was compelled by the Holy Spirit.

Acts 9:3, “Now as he traveled on, he came near to Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him, 4 And he fell to the ground. Then he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me [harassing, troubling, and molesting Me]? 5 And Saul said, Who are You, Lord? And He said, I am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting. It is dangerous and it will turn out badly for you to keep kicking against the goad [to offer vain and perilous resistance]. 6 Trembling and astonished he asked, Lord, what do You desire me to do? The Lord said to him, But arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” After he went through all that, Ananias had a vision.

Then verse 17, “So Ananias left and went into the house. And he laid his hands on Saul and said, Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, Who appeared to you along the way by which you came here, has sent me that you may recover your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit. 18 And instantly something like scales fell from [Saul’s] eyes, and he recovered his sight. Then he arose and was baptized, 19 And after he took some food, he was strengthened. For several days [afterward] he remained with the disciples at Damascus. 20 And immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, saying, He is the Son of God!”

You talk about an absolute total turnaround, a paradigm shift. First of all, when we receive Him and are born again, we’re changed. Second of all, when we’re filled with the Holy Spirit, we’re totally changed. But then we hear—it could come through a sign, a wonder, or just the still soft voice—a knowing inside our hearts. When we know that we know that we know we’ve heard from heaven, then we’ll stay I believe like Saul when his name was changed to Paul, he stayed with what he became when his name was changed, when he was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Let me read that again: “Immediately…” So it didn’t take that long. He just got himself built up a little bit but immediately he’s in the synagogues proclaiming Jesus is the son of God.

“And all who heard him were amazed and said, Is not this the very man who harassed and overthrew and destroyed in Jerusalem those who called upon this Name? And he has come here for the express purpose of arresting them and bringing them in chains before the chief priests. 22 But Saul increased all the more in strength, and continued to confound and put to confusion the Jews who lived in Damascus by comparing and examining evidence and proving that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah).”

Paul didn’t back off. He lived out his call. I thought it was a good example of a call changing a life into another life and getting it going on another pathway. I believe we’ve all experienced that in one way or another in the course of our lives, otherwise we wouldn’t be here in a prayer meeting.

Your call impacts the whole work of the Church of the living God. The Bible says by one man’s sin death entered into the world, but by one man’s obedience, Jesus Christ, overcame that. So think about the power of change in one man’s life—you are not insignificant. You have within you the power and ability to bring about tremendous change. God does not think of that lightly. One of the first things is to recognize the vital necessity of the call individually and collectively and that our obedience as we respond to that call will have a continuing domino effect in the Church of God—much more so now in this day and hour. Think about what was going on in Paul’s time and what is going on in our time—the importance of every person to receive the first call unto Jesus to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to be dramatically changed from one way to another into His image and likeness so that the world would see and know.

Brother Mike, I need you to come up here. He’s operating the camera but I want him to come and stand right here. All the things that Erika has been praying, I had them in my heart to pray over you. You kept coming up in my spirit. This is out of the norm but we’ve always said to be faithful and do what the Holy Spirit is telling you to do. So He kept speaking to me about laying hands on you this morning.

There are some things about the adjustments that Erika was praying. What I heard is that there will be… there already has been other voices calling you this way, calling you that way. But the position you stand in as the head of your family, this is what the Holy Spirit is saying. I’m just reminding you that the call that you’ve been given has not been finished. You’re just at the very beginning of what you’ve been called into. The voice of the Holy Spirit has been speaking and speaking and speaking into and through you. You have not known the influence that the words you speak have on others that hear. So watch over what you speak and what you say. Listen with the ears of your heart more and more each day. And speak the words… just keep speaking it and speaking it. And there will be other doors after that door—for I have called you and I’m calling you into the new. It’s wider. It’s more influential than it ever has been before. So take it, in Jesus’ name. Take it. Take hold of what the Spirit is saying to you this day. As Erika said, “This is the day, this is the time, this is the hour” for the power of the Holy Spirit to operate in and operate through you like never before. Don’t question it. Don’t listen to other voices that are calling you to the left and to the right, telling you to stop and telling you to go. But listen unto Me. And I know you’ve already heard but I know you will hear more clearly than ever before.

I pray for a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit today. A refreshing! It’s the spirit of seeing and knowing in Jesus’ name. Thank You, Father.

When Erika was talking about the orchestration from heaven and the great orchestrator, in my spirit there was a cry for the songs from heaven. And the songs from heaven are deeper and wider and higher. I’m not just talking about words and melodies but it was an infusion. And the words that came forth from heaven were different than earthly words. There was such a power in those songs from heaven, such an infusion of power and such a note and a tone and a thrust of victory. Higher than what we’ve known here. So I don’t know what else to do but to ask for the songs from heaven and to pray in the Holy Ghost about it.

Prayed…

Father, we’re asking You as the Great Orchestrator as the Great Creator of the realm of “be being filled, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melodies in your heart.” You are the Creator of every song and hymn written on the face of the earth. Father, we’re asking You for the deep. For those songs from heaven that carry forth power and anointing, that carry forth delivering power. New, new, new… You said to sing unto the Lord a new song. Father, we’re asking You for the new and for the fresh birthed in Your people. Deep… deep calleth unto deep. Prepare the vessels, Lord, to receive it. Stir it within them. And as the songs come forth from heaven, there is a lifting in them. There is supernatural power encapsulated in them. Lifting, lifting, lifting the heads of Your people to a new place.

The glory, Lord!
Deeper and thicker
The vessels have ears to hear what the Spirit is singing over the Church
You orchestrate through the prophets! Fill them
You orchestrate through the pastors, through the teachers… and the new song, higher praise…
Through the evangelists
Visitations of Your Spirit
Your Spirit is singing over the Church
Songs of power, songs of deliverance, visitation
Assignments all along that way
Heaven-sent assignments—clear, real clear
To move on in
Greater cooperation in these days
Walking in the Spirit
Brushing ourselves off and cleansed by the blood of the Lamb
Miracles, miracles, they’re new every day
Not bowing to the pressure
But continuing into that which we’ve been called to
Cooperation in the saints of God
A defined resonance of the Spirit, a resounding sound of the Spirit, waves of the Spirit to bring about a change this day
Resounding with the divine presence of God
To go beyond man’s scrutiny, to bring about a change that must be
For surely I have declared that My hand is upon thee

I have this about sons and daughters, little ones: the responsibility for the parents to enable them to answer the call on their hearts even as little children—to enable that by the power of the Holy Spirit within.

We pray in Jesus’ name to know how important it is for words to be spoken that will lift them and propel them into what they’ve been called before they ever were born. The call was made. The call was sent. They were created in the image of God almighty. So we pray over these little children, sons and daughters, boys and girls all over the earth while we’re singing “Be glorified Lord all over the earth.” We pray for these children all over the earth. Whatever nation they are in, whatever tongue they speak in, there is no limit or boundary that will hold back the power of the Holy Spirit to operate in and through them. We pray for the parents, first of all, if they’ve not received You, that they would receive You. We pray for the laborers, for the evangelists, to enter into and bring forth Your Word that they might be saved. We pray for the direction of Your Holy Spirit within them to do the things, say the things or to hold back from saying things that would hold them back. Hold back from saying things that would stop them and derail them and get them off the track. But words of faith and life and encouragement spoken over them will assist these little ones to come up and grow into young adults, that they would fulfill the fullness of the call within each one of them. So in a way today, we’re sending out the call. Calls are calling.
