Jerre led in worship about the fire of God and then shared…

He said He would make His ministers as flames of fire… So if you’ve let your flame go out, there are still embers underneath the fire and God can stir that up and make it burn again. For His glory…

Continued to worship…

Jerre interjected…

I keep seeing different ways that God can burn in us… so many different ways… His love and mercy and grace… a hunger in us for His Word… hunger in us for the secret place… just face to face with Him… His hunger in us to see souls brought into the kingdom and discipled in the way of life… thank You, Lord, that You burn in us…

Sometimes we don’t even know the fire is burning low. Sometimes it takes someone else to help identify that. I’m reminded of a time when Vicki Jamison Peterson ministered here one time. After the service, she said to Sandy and me, “You people are dry.” What? Umm, we’re dry? Really? What she meant was we weren’t very stirred. Put it like that. Our flame had gone down a little from the last time she ministered here. She measured our fire by the last time she ministered here.

When you have an outside minister that moves in the Holy Ghost say, “You’re dry.” What do you do about that? You begin to believe God to stir yourself up. It’s a wake-up call. We want the flame, the fire. We’re baptized in the Holy Spirit. We should be on fire, right? All the time. We stir up the fire. We do. We have that responsibility.

We must put more attention on what the Word says and keep the flame burning, keep the desire and yearning, the hunger and thirst going. We know if we’re not hungry. We know if we’re not thirsty. All the on-fire people that I’ve been studying up on, for them it was the Word, the Word, the Word… they were Word people.

Last week, I heard it in my spirit, “Stay on the country… stay full-bore ahead in your prayers concerning your nation and President, the leadership.” As pray-ers, you know it’s so easy to start out praying enthusiastically at first and then a week later, not so much. It’s easy to back off in our prayers.

I want to read Ephesians 6:10, “In conclusion, be strong in the Lord…” A good confession is “I’m strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” It goes on to say, “[be empowered through your union with Him] draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].” Then it goes through the armor. “Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies].” Why do that? Because we’re in a battle. There is a battle today for our country that is bigger than it’s ever been before. “…that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. 12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents].” We’re not wrestling against any person in the media. We’re wrestling against the devil. “…but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. 13 Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].” What is our place? It’s a place of prayer! A connection to heaven in declaring things forth that need to come forth. That sounds simple but it’s true. If we don’t stand, we’re backing off and letting the enemy have his way. We’re standing. We have a strong foundation. We’re filled to the full with the Word because we’ve had awesome teaching, the move of the Holy Spirit and are able to stand. “Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, 15 And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability…” It’s standing firm. “…the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. 16 Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].” We stand together as a church as members of the body of Christ, this company, we’ve been trained to stand. We’re trained. We’ve been through the camp. “And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God. 18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).”

Erika led in prayer for President and nation…

Thank You for the fire, Father… Fire that is on our words. For the fire that is in our hearts, delivering Your Word. Your Word to Your nation, Father, in the name of Jesus… We thank you for the honor of declaring and calling things that are not as though they were… declaring the end from the beginning. Speaking the things of the Father…

Father, in the name of Jesus, and according to your Word, we pray for those in authority in our nation. We lift up President Donald Trump, his family, his staff, and cabinet members. Let Your Word cling to them and let them not depart from your plan. Strengthen them with mighty power by your Spirit to stand against wickedness, lies, and deception. Guide President Trump’s decisions; let Your light shine upon his path and show him the path of reversal for every evil way.

For the complete reversal of every evil way in this nation… that means right back to the root cause of the evil way… we call and declare the reversal of every evil way in Jesus’ name… we hold the blood against it and speak to it and say, “You come to nothing. You be reversed. Be gone and removed at the very root core.” Father, we know there are going to be changes on every level… on the political scene… on the social scene… changes in the educational scene… changes in the family scene… changes in every part of the fabric of our society and our nation, in Jesus’ name.

Continually surround him with godly men and women who impart wise counsel to him. Cause the way of the wicked to be set to confusion and come to nothing. Deliver us from the traps and snares the enemy has laid for us, and let the wicked be caught in their own devises and be brought to shame. We take authority over the plots and plans of the enemy against this nation. Let prideful and lying lips be silenced in Jesus’ name. Slanderers will not be established in America. We pray for our Congress, our Supreme Court, our Military leaders and our intelligence agencies. Let the wisdom that is from above reign in this nation and be constantly speaking to our leaders. We exercise the authority you have given us to tread down all the power of the enemy. We cast down and demolish imaginations and arguments that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, and we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. We bind spirits of strife and division, civil wars and tumults, spirits of hostility, lawlessness and blasphemy, and fires from hell that have burned in our cities.

We speak grace and peace over America. We pray and believe for the voice of truth, salvation, revival and restoration to be proclaimed and heard across our land. Grant unto your servants everywhere that with all boldness we may speak your Word. We pray for a mighty outpouring of your Spirit with signs, wonders, and miracles. We expect the wisdom of this world that is earthly, sensual, and devilish to depart and vanish until Your, mighty work in America becomes a beacon of hope for all people everywhere. We expect the voice of rejoicing to be heard in our nation for your goodness, mercy, and prosperity, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

We see ourselves that way, Lord… as flames of fire for Your glory… we see ourselves that way… we see the flames coming out…

I saw something in my spirit about the church. Years ago, Charles Capps said that the time would come when everything would be black or white and there would be no grey areas of our lives. This is the way I saw the church. All the different parts of the body of Christ all stepping up together, stepping up above all the junk. We have prayed for the body of Christ, for years, to take its place. To stand strong in the Word. The church will rise up above all the junk. The church will see from a higher place. We’re not down under. In Him, we’re the head and not the tail. We can do all things through Christ.
