I printed this off this morning from brother Hagin’s book on tongues, “Beyond the Upper Room.”
[begin excerpt] There is a moving out beyond time and beyond space into the realm of the Spirit that is beyond my ability to describe. Some have walked out into that realm of prayer only far enough to get their feet wet. Like children wading in the water, they talk about what they experienced, saying, “That was so wonderful! It was the ultimate in praying in the Spirit!” But in reality, their experience in prayer was barely the beginning! These people have only touched the realm of the Spirit. They need to wade on out into the deep waters of the Spirit until it isn’t only knee deep or loin deep, but so deep they can’t possibly touch the ocean bottom! Then they can swim on out and enjoy the fullness of what God has for them in prayer (see Ezekiel 47). However, it is important to understand that these things will not always come easy. For one thing, the flesh will do everything possible to hold us back. That’s the reason the Word of God teaches us to crucify the flesh. The mind will also hold us back, trying to make us focus on the realm of the physical senses and what can be seen. That’s one reason God tells us to get our minds renewed with His Word (Rom. 12:1-2). Once our minds are renewed, we’ll be able to move further into the realm of His Spirit through prayer. But as more and more of us respond to God’s call to pray, there will begin to be greater and greater manifestations of His power and glory on this earth. The manifestation and demonstration of God’s Spirit will become as common and as real as everyday: natural things are to us. This is what our hearts have longed for and what intercessors have prayed for so many years.
I’m going to be honest and make a confession about this: I’ve been so far out there a few times, I got scared! I don’t mean I got scared the way you are scared of a tornado or a rattlesnake. I’m talking about a holy fear. For one thing, I was afraid I couldn’t get back. I believe that may be what happened to Enoch. He got so far out in the realm of the Spirit that he couldn’t get back!

Pastor Ray continues…
That’s what we want. I believe we can get to the deep waters where we can pray out of our spirits and our brains will be “detached” in our thoughts of what we need to do and all the things on the news. We’ll pray out of our spirits and let the Spirit direct our prayers.

I keep seeing this in my spirit. When we come to the deep place with the Lord, and pray from that place, we grab onto the deep substance of heaven. We apprehend those deep places and then as pray-ers, we distribute that tangible power and depth of heaven to the earth. It’s a spiritual realm. Let’s yield with the purpose and high calling of God to go into the realm of the spirit and to apprehend that realm and then distribute it on the earth. I don’t know how to explain it better than that.

Manifestations, Father
Signs and wonders, a revealing… reveal, reveal, reveal… this is a tangible place
The church is moving over
We put the blood right there in Jesus’ name
It will be manifest
We are forever changed when we enter these realms…these secret deep places
We are carriers of that realm
The Gentiles come to the light of the rising
It is evident upon Your people that come to the secret place
There is evidence… so we come, Father, and we encourage others to come
Be changed upon the mountain of God
It’s calling us deeper and further
Pastor Ray interjected…
I remember once in here the Holy Spirit said to me, “Don’t get out there and begin to move by My Spirit and get so amazed, like a tourist who had never been to this place before. They’re so in awe by what they see that they just stay there and not move forward. But by the Spirit, keep on because there is much, much greater out ahead. Don’t act so surprised and stay where you are, but move out because there are greater supplies, moves, plans, destinies… If you think the United States of America has moved all the way toward God that it will move, that’s not true. This nation is still moving and it will move one way or another way. So as members of the body, we must continually contend and pray over our leaders and pray that this country will move more and more and more God’s way. The shift has begun, but the shift has not been finished.
Is that too big to believe? No!

Turn the hearts of kings
Turn the hearts of those in authority … this very day… to Your glory
We hold fast with that blood and declare changes are moving in the right way
Things are shifting… turning in Jesus’ name
Can denominations move? Yes! Can the power of the Holy Spirit come into a city and change it? Yes!
Has He done it before? Yes! Will He do it again? Yes!
Change… changes… maybe some in leadership in different cities will have to go… get out… for others to get in
It’s God’s plan… for the former and the latter rain to be poured out

By Your Spirit, the cleansing rain from heaven… heaven’s rain washing this nation
As watchers on the wall, we watch
We call and expect and yield and watch with eyes of faith
Word…
Different ministries, the whole ministry will be changed. It won’t be year after year of a little change here a little change there… it’ll be a sudden turn, but it won’t be one place. It’ll be there… over there… here… out there… in that nation… the other nation… the nations of the earth… the power of the Holy Spirit … the rain… Remember at Azauza there was a mist that would come in… the children would play in it… by faith we receive more rain… the rain of the Spirit…
