We’re going to sing that again. Let’s stand as we do. We’re not going to just think about our group here or the group that’s on the Internet, we’re going to think about the Church of the living God. We’re going to allow our hearts and our faith to be released and extended to them, that those robes would be white, white, white. Amen? Because we’re all blood-bought, redeemed children of the most high God. That means in the highest village in the mountains, that means in the lowest valley, that means wherever His blood has gone, our faith and prayers are going to them for these last days, for the great arising of the Church and the living God. Let’s stand…

Thank You, Father, that we could even cross over to the heavenly side, that by the precious blood of Jesus, we can stand on the heavenly side. Robes of pure white… we’re so thankful, Father. We’re grateful people. We trust You with all our hearts. We trust that You who began a good work in us, You will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Today we gather in the name above all names, the matchless name of Jesus, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We gather for a purpose and for a plan—to have Your will and way, to be used by You in the great work of prayer in this last day. So Father, we’re thanking You for hearts joined in faith for the precious blood and Your presence in us, operating through us. Thank You, Father.

I don’t know about you, but as every day goes by, I am more consciously aware of the precious body of Christ, its members and parts of Jesus. If you love Jesus, you have to love His body. Isn’t that right? So especially now in this day and hour, we have been praying concerning the great awakening of the Church of the living God. We don’t have to look too far to know that the Church has got to awaken. That we have to arise. That we have to be the glorious Church. Isn’t that right?

I was just reading some headlines in Herald of His Coming.  Many of you have that publication. It’s awesome. If you don’t have it, I encourage you to get it. One of the articles was entitled, “Shining Lights for a Sin-Darkened World.” Why are we going to shine? Just so we can say we did? Shining lights for a sin-darkened world. That’s why we have to shine. Let your light shine for the Lord. He made us new creatures in Christ to shine with the very light and life of God Himself. One of the articles was “The Approaching Darkness.” One was “Prayer in the Darkness.” God’s Word shines as a bright light in a darkening hour. The Word itself is light.

But there needs to be a little dusting going on, don’t you think? So today we’re going to continue along the lines that we have been. What else is there to pray about? What needs to happen now? An awakening. Amen? So we’re joining our hearts and prayers today. I’m going to read a little from the book, In the Day of Thy Power by Arthur Wallis. We want to get a picture imbedded in our hearts and minds so that we can know the will of God, the Word of God, the plan of God, so we can line ourselves up with it and pray in agreement and put Him in remembrance.

[begin quote] Clearly it’s the saints, not the sinners, who are primarily involved in revival. You wouldn’t need revival if the saints were revived. The quickening of the saints is the root while the saving of the sinners is the fruit. Therefore to see the primary effects of revival, we must look at the Church. Isaiah sounded a call to the people of God in familiar words: “Awake, awake! Put on thy strength, O Zion. Put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city.” Revival marks the awakening of the Church indeed. Such a time is commonly termed “an awakening.” When asleep, one is out of touch with the world of reality. The Church asleep is out of touch with the world of spiritual reality and needs to be awakened. The argument in favor of an awakening grows stronger as the end of the age approaches. For Paul himself said, “Knowing of the season that not it is high time for you to awake out of sleep, for now is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed. The night is far spent and the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light.” Here is the primary effect of revival. The Church awakens, casts off works of darkness that have blanketed her in her slumber and puts on the armor of light. The ascertain that we cannot have an awakening in these days is but the Devil’s lullaby to hush the Church to sleep. Awake, awake, put on strength, O Zion. Asleep, the church of Christ is impotent. Awakened, she clothes herself with spiritual strength. The power that began to flow at Pentecost is inexhaustible and is as much available now as then. But only an awakened Church can claim her birthright and go forth clothed with power from on high. No one can deny that the people of God today are largely denuded of power. It is a characteristic effect of revival that Zion puts on strength. If doubtful if the powers ever renewed in the widespread manner save in times of revival. Awake, awake, put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem. The Church asleep is not only denuded of power but of holiness. Only when the people of God are awakened are they clothed with the beautiful garments of practical righteousness. Is there not a need today? Is there not a downward tendency on the part of individual believers seen in lukewarmness toward the Lord compromised with the world and complacency as to themselves. Then therefore is undoubted need of an awakening. Holiness is not optional but obligatory. God demands it. Without it, no man shall see the Lord. But revival is a time when God comes and rains righteousness upon us. If there is no revival of righteousness, there is no revival at all. [end of quote]

We’re looking for that. What do we do about it? We’re doing what we know to do. But what if He had a preacher on every street corner in every city and he preached. Does that mean everybody would get saved? Does that mean all the believers are going to run out of their houses and go, “Glory to God!” Not unless they have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God waking them up to the rights and privileges that are theirs in Christ Jesus. So according to scripture, we pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God.

I like what Mark Hankins said in his book Revolutionary Revelation. He said, “I like to think of the story of the four blind men that were each holding onto a different part of an elephant. One held the tail and said an elephant was like a rope. One held the leg and said an elephant was like a tree. One held the trunk and said an elephant was like a snake. One felt the side of an elephant and said it was like a wall. Each man’s revelation was limited to the part of the elephant he experienced. Many of us are like that today with our relationship with God. God wants to open our eyes to see the whole elephant. There is more that God has for us. Revelation opens God’s goodness and power to us and through us. Albert Einstein said the important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when one contemplates the mysteries of eternity of life of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend the little of the mystery every day. Mystery is defined as a profound secret kept cautiously concealed, hidden for generations. Something that excites curiosity and wonder. Ephesians 3:9–11, “To make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God who created all things by Jesus Christ, to the intent that now to the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be made known by the Church the manifold wisdom of God according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17–23 is for the church to advance and influence every generation through the power of revelation. The mystery of our redemption is now revealed in Christ. Today God wants the Church to enjoy and display the light and revelation of Jesus Christ to all men as well as to the unseen powers in heavenly places. The Church is displaying the many sided wisdom of God to men, angels, and devils. The Church is experiencing a breakthrough in revelation that is bringing a revolution in this generation. We contend for exponential increase in revelation. We contend for the glory of God in the Church today. [end quote]

So we’re going to pray about that today. One of the first things I want to pray about is the spirit of wisdom and revelation has to come to you by revelation. We know God gave five-fold ministry gifts for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry. So we’ll first pray for those in authority operating in the ministry gifts, that each and every pastor, teacher, apostle, prophet, evangelist, each one of them, we need to pray that they would have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God, that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened that they would know the hope of the calling that is theirs in Christ Jesus. And the inheritance that is theirs according to the power that raised Jesus from the dead and set us at His own right hand in heavenly places. We need to pray that they would have utterance to speak and to declare and to impart God’s Word.

Prayed…

Father, grant utterance to the five-fold ministry gifts
We need them to do and to say everything that you intended for them
That they walk in the fullness of Him who fills all in all
For them to come up and through those things that have held them back
We apply the blood over their eyes, ears, hands
That You would speak a word fitly spoken to them
Greater release, an unabated flow of the Holy Spirit
That the Word would have free course in their hearts
Causing a supernatural change in the Church
Arising and shaking off the slumber
Shake off the comfort
Revelation knowledge—light and more light
Take and receive that which God has given, that they would see and know the plan of God
Feeding the flocks of God
The flocks will be healthy and strong and be able to give forth
Five-fold ministry gifts to be lit up
Giving them access to high places
To deliver the Word on fire
The Word in power and in demonstration
Resources from heaven—greater direction and greater dispensing of those resources
Quickenings from the Father
Christ in You—the hope of glory
Illuminate our inner vision, the eyes of our hearts
The full nature of His calling—its aim and expectation
