Scriptural Focus…

Psalm 130:4 –8, Passion Translation: “Lord, your forgiving love is what makes you so wonderful. That’s why I wait upon you expecting your breakthrough. For your word brings me hope. I long for you more than any watchman would long for the morning light. I will watch and wait for you, God, throughout the night. I will keep hoping, keep trusting, and keep waiting for You, Lord. For you are tenderhearted and forgiving and you have a thousand ways to set me free.”

Comment…

I like that picture. We long for the Lord more than any watchman would long for the morning light. “You have a thousand ways to set me free.” He doesn’t just have a couple ways. Wherever there is something holding us back, whatever it might be, He has a thousand ways to get us through, to get us through the plan that He’s put inside each one of us individually, but corporately, too.

Prayed…

Even where there is no road, no path, no way, You make a way
You made the Way!
We yield to You and give you glory, honor, and praise.
We’re thankful to You and Your name
We’re thankful for the power and authority that’s been given unto each one of us when we, by faith, use Your name
Thank You for the presence of Your precious Holy Spirit
We are hungry and thirsty for more of Your presence
We expect Your presence

Scriptural Focus…

(22) “But Jesus said to him, Follow Me, and leave the dead [in sin] to bury their own dead. (23) And after He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. (24) And suddenly, behold, there arose a violent storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered up by the waves; but He was sleeping. (25) And they went and awakened Him, saying, Lord, rescue and preserve us! We are perishing! (26) And He said to them, Why are you timid and afraid, O you of little faith? Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great and wonderful calm (a perfect peaceableness).” Matthew 8:22–26 (Amp.)

Comments…

Jesus was speaking to a natural storm, but we can apply it to any storm in our lives today. Maybe you’ve seen Christians in horrendous situations, perhaps a hospital where it’s a 911 kind of deal and you’ve seen them pray in fear. Fear was the motivation of their prayer, not faith. It can be a natural progression when everything is going wrong. But it’s not how loud we are in praying that will take care of the devil and his ways—sickness, disease, whatever. It’s praying a prayer in faith; that sets the devil on the run. Praying prayers of fear, it seems to me, will attract him and the situation gets worse. We must speak or pray from a place of rest.

Picture Jesus in the boat; you know that boat was shaking, but He’s sleeping. He’s in a place of rest. I’ll use John 15:4–8 as an example. “Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. 6 If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. 8 When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.

So faith and dwelling in Him is so important. We’re to abide in Him continually. It can be a press. There are so many other things going on, other voices. But spending time in His presence has to become more important in the body of Christ. Abiding in Him means you’re connected to Him in your heart and mind. It’s His presence. And His presence brings His promises. His promises are in His presence. The peace and rest of God really, we could say, are the atmosphere of heaven.

It’s easy to step away from His presence and not spend as much time as before. Brother Copeland said that when you walk out your pathway of life, things will begin to not work right and fear will come up. He said to go back to the place when the peace of God filled you and you walked in it. I believe it’s time for us to spend more time in His presence than ever before. We are changed in His presence. It’s supernatural. When it comes to prayer, faith in His name calms every fear and brings His peace that passes all understanding.

Continued praying…

Saturate us in Your presence
Thank You for the oil of the precious Holy Spirit
Thank You for the wind that’s blowing and the fire that’s burning
Thank You for the rain and thank You for increase
We believe for an increase of fire, for rain, increase of the oil of the Holy Spirit

Shared word in demonstration about turnaround…

I cannot get away from this. Miss Jerry, would you come and stand over here and face outward. I’m going to do this the way I saw it in my spirit. I kept seeing it and seeing it. What I’m supposed to do is put my finger on your head and you [Jerry] are going to turn around and keep turning around, and turn around some more. Now stop and face the front. This is what I have to say over you but also over the whole body of Christ:

“Things have begun to change completely around, and you will not have to leave town to have it turnaround. But things are changing, and it’ll turn some frowns absolutely upside down. For the joy of the Lord is the strength for the body in these hours and these days. And for you, too, individually, the turnaround has already begun. But the turnaround has not finished! For the turnaround will turn around and around and around until the fullness, until the completeness, until everything that was preplanned for you and the Church has been called to do. So in these days, watch for the turnaround; and these days, the turnaround is already been sent and is coming to a town near you. And it’s you,” saith the Lord. “Your turnaround has come. So receive it by faith. Accept every part of it and you will walk in the freedom that you were predestined to walk in. It’s supernatural! It’s not natural. It’s a supernatural turnaround. So as you, body of Christ, as you spend time with Me in My presence, you will not just see the situation stay status quo or get worse. You’ll see the turnaround begin, and the things that you have been believing for will be revealed in you. You’ll know it. You’ll hear it. And you’ll walk in it. For these days are the days for the Church to rise up and take its place of authority in Me and use My name. The body of Christ is turning around in Jesus’ name. Some things were blocked up, stopped up, and couldn’t be turned but now they are turning in the name of Jesus! So in faith and by faith, we’ll keep turning and turning and turning. For the fire is coming up, and the rain is coming down, and the wind is blowing through, and the oil of My Spirit has anointed you to carry it through in victory! In Jesus’ name!”

Continued praying…

We receive it, Lord, right here, right now in Jesus’ name
Prosperity, we receive it and take hold of it by faith
We expect it—change, change, change, change
We receive turnarounds

Comment…

Let me read this scripture again that we read at the beginning. “Lord, your forgiving love is what makes you so wonderful.” That’s why we can experience turnaround. That’s the reason why we wait upon Him. His forgiving love. While we’re turning around, let’s step out of the past and step over and into, by faith, the new. Days, weeks, months, years too… let’s step by faith every step we take and walk in that love. We are to be givers of His love.

Continued praying…

We wait upon You, Lord, expecting Your breakthrough.
We add to that the increase, turning our lives maybe some ways, maybe upside down.
Moving more and more and more into that expectation for breakthrough
For Your Word, Father, brings us such hope—faith-filled hope
We long for You, Lord
Thank You for it, Lord
And we’ll watch and we’ll wait for You all throughout the night
We will keep hoping and trusting and waiting on You
For You are tenderhearted, forgiving and You have a thousand ways to set us free
You have a thousand ways to turn it around
It’s a set up from the enemy to derail, distract, and take the Church back
But that set up has been revealed by the blood of the Lamb
For things that were set up, blockages from the enemy have been uncovered by the Spirit of the Lord
The body of Christ has been made more than able to go through by the blood of the Lamb.
We testify how strong it is, how powerful it is, and our overcoming in and through that precious blood.
Lord, we lift up every broken heart in the body
And restoration for those broken hearts
You pour in the oil and the wine through the power of the Holy Ghost and lift and lift and lift
We put the blood of the Lamb against you, Satan
You spirit of suicide, you stop and desist in Jesus’ name
Every broken heart healed and made whole
Not one feeble heart among us in Jesus’ name because of the blood
Your blood compels us to forgive every part of the body of Christ
We forgive
Bring to their remembrance the power of the Holy Ghost, the power of forgiveness
Cause them to see and to drop that one and drop that one at the foot of Jesus
Your blood transforms our minds, right now
Father, for every soul, those that are locked up because their minds have been corrupted by the enemy
We lift them up with the name of Jesus and speak peace to their minds
By the blood of the Lamb and the name of Jesus, every demon has to tremble and flee
Get out of them, in Jesus’ name
Their minds have been redeemed and the chastisement of their peace was upon You
So we speak to those minds—“Be redeemed in Jesus’ name”
“Be restored and be made whole”
“Be strengthened in Jesus’ name”
Father, for all those that feel dead inside, those that are in cold dead religion, we’re asking for revelation to come to them
Light a fire within them again
Open their eyes to the light of the glorious Gospel
You deceiving devil, I put the blood of the Lamb against you
The dead will live and rise again
Father, because you promised that even the dead bones would rise

Shared…

Miss Jerry, when you sang about forgiveness, it reminded me of Bishop Keith Butler’s message this past weekend. He shared how the Lord spoke to him about forgiving someone, as associate pastor in his church. This associate told Bishop Butler that he was going to start his own church, and he ended up taking more than half the church with him. The Lord questioned him about forgiveness and he said, “I’ve forgiven him.” But really he hadn’t. The Lord told him what to do about his old associate. He was to take up an offering for him and go to him, give him the offering, forgive him, hug him and tell him “I love you.” He said in his flesh, he just wanted to punch him out. But he was obedient to do what the Holy Spirit told him to do. Then later down the road, he needed finances and on the last day that he needed the money, a phone call came in which resulted in the money coming forth. And the Lord reminded Bishop Butler about forgiving that brother and doing what the Lord told him to do. The Lord said “You wouldn’t have received what you received today if you hadn’t done what I told you to do back then.” Forgiveness is a big deal for the body of Christ. We have to walk in it.
