Prayer Summary for May 6

The following excerpt was taken from How You Can Pray in the End of Days by Billye Brim:

A BODY PREPARED TO DO GOD’S WILL IN THE EARTH

God has a will for the earth and its peoples. In our dispensation, we are to be His body, His channel through which He can get His will into the earth.

Christ, the Anointed One, is the Head; we are the Body.

Eph. 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Eph, 1:23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

“The church which is His body …. ” That settles it. The Church is His body. The Greek word translated church is ecclesia. It means assembly, or a gathering of called-out ones. We are a body of called-out ones from every tongue, nation, tribe, assembled into a body of which He is the Head. John Wesley said, “It seems God is limited by our prayer life—that He can do nothing for humanity unless someone asks Him.” Why? It has to do with authority on the earth. God needs a body through which to work on the earth. A man I saw recently was wearing a T-shirt which said, “God doesn’t need me. I need God.” Sounds so religious, so humble. But it is untrue. God needs a body through which to get His will into the earth. Many scriptures attest to the fact that the ecclesia is that body. We are a body prepared, and being prepared, for Him. And He has given to those who are called believer’s authority! The Authority of the Believer!

AUTHORITY OF THE BELIEVER

Through my years at Hagin Ministries, I kept track of how many copies of each book title was published. By far, The Believer’s Authority, outsold every other book. In 1980, through very supernatural happenings, I began to go to Soviet Russia with Rhema Bible Training Center graduate, Jim Kaseman and his wife, Kathleen. We continued regular travel there to minister to the underground church through the days of Communism and even after its fall. Our amazing adventures are the stuff of another book I have long intended to write.

What is relevant here, happened because of the Lord’s direction to Jim to get 3.3 million copies of Kenneth E. Hagin’s books behind the Iron Curtain. I am witness to the fact that the Kasemans got the job done—3.3 million books printed and distributed, in KGB days! Accomplishing that feat, from translation, to delivery through every carrier imaginable, is worthy of inclusion in the Book of Acts, if it is still being written in Heaven. One of those books, and the most important, was The Believer’s Authority.

After Communism fell, Jim was watching a Network Newscast in which a high ranking Communist Chinese military officer was being interviewed. The newsman asked him, “What was the cause of the fall of Communism in Russia, as you see it?” He answered, “I know what happened in Russia. It was the Christians. And it is not going to happen in China.” East German Christians, testified at a Kenneth Hagin meeting in Broken Arrow, how they had received a German translation of The Believer’s Authority. They told how they banded together and used the truths they learned to believe for a bloodless fall of the Berlin Wall. We received this testimony just after the fall of that wall, which was really the fall of Communism. Understanding the authority of the believer is of top importance in working with God in prayer in the end of days. For one thing, believers who understand it are not afraid. They humbly operate in authoritative power.

I had had little glimpses of spiritual authority once in a while. Like others, I had stumbled upon it and had exercised it without knowing what I was doing. I wondered, “Is the Spirit of God trying to show me something?” so I began to study along this line, think along this line, feed along this line—and I began to see more and more light.

An article in The Pentecostal Evangel prompted my study on the words “power” and “authority.” Then I came across a wonderful pamphlet entitled The Authority of a/the Believer by John A. MacMillan, a missionary to China [and the Philippines] who later edited The Alliance Weekly …

As a result of my studies, I concluded that we as a Church have authority on the earth that we’ve never yet realized—authority that we’re not using. A few of us have barely gotten to the edge of that authority, but before Jesus comes again, there’s going to be a whole company of believers who will rise up with the authority that is theirs. They will know what is theirs, and they will do the work that God intended they should do.

In the last paragraph of his Foreword, Kenneth Hagin, I believe, prophesied the time in which we live—the end of the end of days. I believe we are that company, a prayer force, that is rising up with the authority that is ours.

Prayed…

Holy Spirit, we welcome Your presence today
Thank You for all You have done for us
For the anointing that is resident in each one of us
We rise up and ask to see You move on this earth
Thank You for that authority, Lord
We take authority over pain in bodies today – leave now in Jesus’ name
You have no right or authority to stay – Jesus already sent healing
We receive a greater impartation of the love, mercy, and grace of God
Thank You, Father, for transforming us internally to keep on moving in the press
Calling those things that be not as though they were in Jesus’ name
IN JESUS’ NAME, IN JESUS’ NAME – shaking off the old and being free
Line upon line, precept upon precept – every limitation out of the way
There is protection in the blood – we apply the blood this morning
No limits to that protection!
Seeing, declaring, cooperating, and believing the power in the blood
Marching ahead, covered in the blood
It’s not over, there are still things that need to be carried out for a completion
Lifting up the supernatural timings
Answers – permanently changed in Jesus’ name

About the authority and the connection to the blood. By the blood and what was done on the cross where that blood was shed then the words that were spoken, we have the authority. And that authority is not just taking our authority and calling those things out and that kind of thing. That certainly is authority but standing in the position we have been given.

I want to give you this testimony. I just received a letter from a younger man that is in the Swiss army. Before he went into the military, he came to Minneapolis. He came because he had heard about this church and Morning Prayer. I had never met him. He just came on in for prayer and stayed after to ask for prayer. So I laid hands on him in the authority that God had given me. I didn’t take authority over anything in his life but just standing in the authority God has given me. It’s like each one of us has been given the authority and just yielded to the Holy Spirit and prayed over him. I couldn’t remember one thing that I prayed.

In the letter he said after he left Minnesota he went back home and then he decided to go to Bible college in another country. And one of the things the Holy Spirit had me to pray over him was to watch over the balance between the Spirit and the Word. To keep it in balance and not get so far over into just spirit, spirit, spirit and forget about the Word or the other way around. This is what he told me in the letter. He said when he got to the college it was a disaster and the reason why it was a disaster is because they had no Word. They were not using the Word. It was all spirit ministry which we know what can happen. It can be a wide ditch that you can step over into. And that’s what they were doing.

So he had to separate himself because he was there for a year. And so he separated himself and actually got more into the Word then he ever had gotten into before. This letter was a thank you letter for prayer that was prayed over him a few years ago. Words that I didn’t know about. I am not lifting myself up. I am lifting the Holy Spirit up. When we stand in the authority or the office that He has placed us in, He has called us to and yield all the way, yield to Him and pray what He wants us to pray, those words will have an effect out the further in someone else’s life. And guess what, they will bounce right back to you. What we sow we will reap.

Continued praying…

Father, thank You for the body rising up and taking its position
By faith, we declare the Church will never be the same in Jesus’ name, Amen.
