Prayer Summary for January 10

The following excerpt is taken from The Smith Wigglesworth Prophecy and the Greatest Revival of All Time by Wilmington Group Publishers:

All I remember of it was that I was sitting quietly working at my desk when suddenly the door flew open. I hadn’t even heard any footsteps! All I knew was that all of a sudden that door flew open almost with a bang, and there stood Brother Wigglesworth. He walked forward, stood up straight, and commanded me, “Get up from there! Come out here!”

I stood up and immediately came over to him. He put his hands on my shoulders and pushed me up against the wall, looked straight in my eyes and began to prophesy. I’ll never forget the first words of what he said, “The Lord says, ‘You have been in your Jerusalem long enough. You have to go to the uttermost parts of the earth, and He is going to send you.”

There are a lot of things the Lord will say to you now, as if it has already happened or already exists, but from our time frame it is only that He intends to make it so. Brother Wïgglesworth began to prophesy to me some things I knew, some that I didn’t believe, some that I didn’t want, and some I didn’t expect to get or thought was completely out of my reach and out of my field—things that were outside of my own personal vision for my future. I had a vision that the Pentecostal Movement would sweep the earth, but I thought it would pull people out of the old mainline churches, or at least that it would be a movement separate from those churches forming a new church. But that is not what Brother Smith was telling me.

He began to prophesy that I would travel more than most men traveled in their lives. He said, “And you will have the privilege to see and to participate in the most glorious and mightiest sweeping revival that has ever been known in Christian history. It will come through the old-line denominations”—that’s what he called them; we call them now the traditional denominations or historic churches; they call us classic Pentecostals. We are classic already, we’re so old. We need renewal as well.

He continued to prophesy, “It is coming in a remarkable way, ministers will accept the truth and accept the baptism, and the churches will begin to accept this glorious endument (or gift).” As he prophesied he made no distinctions between any of the churches, and I thought, “Well, we haven’t even got anything like what he is talking about even among the Pentecostals. This is a totally new level of revival. We been praying for something like this, but we want it for ourselves to show everyone else how special we are—we don’t really want it for everyone as he is describing now.”

In fact, he actually said that it would come through the other groups, not our own, and that I would have a part in it. He went on describing it until he finally said, “It’s no use, I can’t tell you anymore, because there are some things that even I don’t understand, and I don’t know how to explain them to you, I am telling you these.” Later I learned that he had seen visions of this revival that God was sending between 2 o’clock to 4 that morning.

This account of Wigglesworth’s vision comes from Lester Sumrall’s book (pgs. 168-169), “Pioneers of Faith”:

“… Shutting his eyes again, he said, ‘I see the greatest revival in the history of mankind coming to Planet earth, maybe as never before. And I see every form of disease healed. I see whole hospitals emptied with no one there. Even the doctors are running down the streets shouting.’

“He told me that there would be untold numbers of uncountable multitudes that would be saved. No man will say ‘so many, so many,’ because nobody will be able to count those who come to Jesus. No disease will be able to stand before God’s people… ‘It will be a worldwide situation, not local,’ he said, ‘a worldwide thrust of God’s power and God’s anointing upon mankind.’

“Then he opened his eyes and looked at me and said, ‘I will not see it, but you shall see it. The Lord says that I must go on to my reward, but that you will see the mighty works that He will do upon the earth in the last days.’

“… The idea that I would get to see this revival was almost overwhelming. And in the last decade or so, I believe we have seen this revival begin to sweep the earth. We have seen amazing moves of God in Africa…

Recently, I was in China and met with the underground church. I was told there are at least forty-five million Full Gospel Christians in China.

I discovered a depth of prayer and integrity there that I have not felt anywhere else in the world…

So I believe we are seeing Wigglesworth’s prophecy begin to be fulfilled. We are seeing the first stages of it.”

Prayed…

Thank you for the move and the operation of Your Spirit, Lord
We thank You that revival will sweep through every denomination
Father, we believe for greater things to come
Increase and enlarge our capacity!
This year will be known as a year of greater!
Stepping over into greater expectation about what You are doing
No disease, poverty, lack, or hindrance can hold the body of Christ down!
We are seeking after You!
Each one of us has been given the authority to declaring things that are not as though they were
Words of prophecy coming forth!
The body of Christ working together as one
Division, get out of the body of Christ—we bind you in Jesus’ name!
Resisting any inaccuracies attempting to get into the body of Christ!
Coming against lies that have been spoken and written against Your Word!
Calling for Your truth!
We lift up the economy and call everything to line up with the will of God
Resisting lack of any kind
Father, we ask that the Spirit of truth would permeate every gathering creating unity!
The old days are over!
Pastors suddenly moving in a new way
We must continually step out of what we know with our minds and step into the rivers of the Spirit
