Prayer Summary for Friday, March 27, 2015

Pastor Ray shared…

We’ve come here today. We brought our supply. Let’s make a decision right now to be changed in this hour, right now. From 8:30 to 9:30, we come in one way and we leave another. I’m not talking about going out a different door physically. We go out in a different way, changed. Changed in some way. It’s Bible. It’s the Bible way. What you sow, you’re going to reap. And why not now, Lord? How about right now in this time. We’re open to every time, but we’re just gathered together corporately right now in Your name and we don’t want to stay the same. Thank You, Father.

I like songs of worship that are confessions of faith and that are based on what the Word says, so that the worship and the songs are prayers. You sing confessions of the Word which are prayers. I don’t know when I stuck this note in my Bible, but it says “Be cheerful no matter what.” Oh boy! Oh come on now. What about if I get up on the wrong side of the bed? “Be cheerful no matter what. Pray all the time. Thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.” Alright, so let’s see if the Word really says that. 1st Thess. 5:15 says, “See that none of you repays another with evil for evil, but always aim to show kindness and seek to do good to one another and to everybody. 16 Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always); 17 Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]; 18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. 19 Do not quench (suppress or subdue) the [Holy] Spirit…” People that live like this, stick out… like a blessed thumb. No matter what, they’re just happy. Verse 20 “Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets [do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning].” I felt brother Barkley, under the anointing, declared an anointing concerning the tithe and how the Devil would be rebuked. That was not just a little exhortation, but it was a warning for the times we’re living in. Verse 21 says, “But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast. 22 Abstain from evil [shrink from it and keep aloof from it] in whatever form or whatever kind it may be.”

[At this point, there is lots of joy and laughter…]

Pastor Ray continued…

I was thinking about the word “quenching,” how the Word says “Do not quench or suppress the Holy Spirit.” I liken that to my garden hose. Sometimes I don’t want to go all the way back around the house to change the nozzle so I’ll bend the hose and “quench” the flow of the water. To me, that’s how it is if we’re quenching the Holy Spirit. We’re cutting off some of the supply, or our passion for the Lord. If that’s happening, we will not be as effective as we can be for others. Isn’t that what we’re called to be? It’s not all about us. It’s about others. Sometimes we need an adjustment in our brains cuz it’s so easy just to stay the same and see things in a more narrow way. “How do I feel today?” Wasn’t it Smith Wigglesworth that said he would get out of bed and declare how he felt. He didn’t give his body a chance to say what his body felt like. He declared it. I like that. Taking authority over our own bodies and declaring how it is and how it will be in Jesus’ name. We can say that for the body of Christ. Taking authority, declaring the body of Christ up, over, and through whereunto it’s been called. Revelation knowledge, hearing from heaven, doing what the Father said to do. Full of His glory!

Jerre sings…

I’ve got love, joy, and peace in the Holy Ghost. You won’t find me whining cuz at God’s table I’ve been dining and drinking of the new wine and I am filled with the Holy Ghost.

Pastor Ray gives invitation…

If there is any kind of ailment in your body, believe God by faith right now that it’ll stay here when you leave. Get it? It is not going out the door with you.

Jerre sings…

Throw it on the altar, throw it on the altar right now… Don’t take it back cuz it’s not yours. Lord, we throw it on the altar right now. For the battle is the Lord’s, and all you’ve got to do is believe. The battle is the Lord’s, all you’ve got to do is rest and believe. Because He did it all, He did it all, He did it all for me. By His stripes, we are healed. We throw it on the altar right now.

Jerre said…

I keep seeing people coming up and putting your rod in the water, making a step of faith. If you have something, just go throw it on the altar. I saw this one time in the spirit. I saw a prayer line where people came up to receive healing. When they turned around to go back after getting the anointing on them, every face was lit up, every face was shining with the glory of God. So as you’re going back to your seats after throwing it on the altar, tell your face. Receive it, that it’s done and then rejoice on the way back to your seats. That’s faith, you see. [Continues singing] I think we need to do a victory shout! [They shout the victory]

Pastor Ray prayed…

Thank You for Your peace that passes all understanding, for the revelation of Your love cuz we can rest in You. Your power from heaven above, Your glory, Your rain, the oil and fire, the power of Your precious Holy Spirit. Refreshed, strengthened in You. Thank You, Lord, that we can come in one way and leave another. We can come in on one level and leave on another one. Lifted because it’s Your will and Your plan for the Church to rise up now, be lifted up. We give You glory, honor, and thanksgiving.
