Jerre led worship and then shared…

The Lord has been showing me something very precious about being filled with God. Jonathan Edwards wrote this: “My sense of divine things gradually increased and became more and more lively and had more of that inward sweetness. The appearance of everything was altered. There seemed to be as it were a calm, sweet cast or appearance of divine glory in almost everything.”

Jonathan was so filled with God that everything he looked at and saw, God was in it. It reminds me of the scripture where it says He fills all things. He goes on to say, “God’s excellency, His wisdom, His purity and love seemed to appear in everything. In the sun, in the moon, in the stars…” Remember Abraham, looking up. He had this same experience with God. “…in the clouds, in the blue sky, in the grass, in the flowers, in the trees, in the water, in all nature, all these were used greatly to fix my mind. What does revival look like? I think it looks like this. I often used to sit and view the moon for a long time and in the day spent much time in viewing the clouds and sky to behold the sweet glory of God in these things. In the meantime, singing forth with a low voice my contemplation of the Creator and redeemer.”

When I read this, I was thrilled in my heart. I wrote in my Bible, “When all of creation, all creatures of God looked to the creation and are pointed toward heaven and think on God, that’s how it will be again like in the Garden of Eden.” I had that same sense, twice in my life.

Once when we went to Canada for fishing. We were out in the wilderness area. It was refreshing. From that refreshing time of being there, I got this song from the Lord. It aligns with Jonathan Edwards’ statement. This is what came to me when I got back from Canada being refreshed.

I feel Your love… flowing through the breezes… I see Your smile… dance upon the sun… Your joy burst forth bright… and the colors of Your creation… I’ll forever worship You… Your grace sings through the birds that You have set on high… Your power thunders like the heavens… Your mercy shines in the beauty of Your rainbows… I’ll forever worship You…

Prayer…

We are thankful for Your creation, Father
You created it for our pleasure
That it would forever lift us… lift us to You
Every sunset, that we would see You in it
Every beautiful created thing… I see the Monarch butterfly… No one but You, Lord, could paint the beauty of that
What a Creator, You are

This morning as I was coming to prayer, the Lord brought something to me. He said, “You’ve heard of the ‘show me’ state.” Anyone from Missouri in here? They put on the license plates “The show me State.” I said, “Yes, I’ve heard of that.” I looked up where that saying came from. It’s accredited to a Missouri congressman, William Duncan Vandiver, who served in the United States House of Representatives, 1897 to 1903. While a member of the U.S. house committee on naval affairs, Vandiver attended a naval banquet in Philadelphia. In a speech, he declared, “I come from a state that raises corn and cotton and cockleburs and Democrats. Frothy eloquence neither convinces nor satisfies me. I’m from Missouri. You have got to show me.” So now people from the State of Missouri, say “you got to show me.”

Well, that’s what God did! He showed us. He displayed Himself throughout creation. “Is there a God? Show me!” Well, look all around. He proved Himself to us. He displayed Himself. He showed Himself strong on your behalf. Isn’t He the God who shows? So when you say, “Show me,” He says, “I’m already doing that. Open your eyes and look around and see the show and expect the show.” He’s wanting to do that all the time. Every day. To show and display that You will see His glory and power. Every day in your own life. He’s the God who shows. When a message is preached, He says signs and wonders will follow. Because He shows! He shows and reveals Himself all the time.

We need to recognize those things around us. If you’re a person that wants to see more of God and to see Him move… He’s moving all the time. You just don’t see it. Today, you have breath. Today, He gave you a new day. He’s given you health. There are so many things we could be grateful for. I remember brother Keith said, “It’s impossible to bless somebody who is ungrateful.” Because they refuse to recognize the blessings they have in their lives. If they have a meal, they don’t pray over their meal because they’re not truly grateful they have a meal. They don’t recognize that He provided their need for that moment in time. The more we lift our voices in praise thanking Him for the things around us, the more we will see Him. So if you’re a person who wants to see Him more, be a person of praise and gratefulness.

The Lord said to me once, “The more grateful you are, the more you will see Me manifest before you.” “Thank You, Lord, that I have breath today. Thank You, Lord, that I’m walking today. Thank You for my car. I have a home and heat in my home.”

How many have something to be grateful for today? Raise your hand? How many has had something the Lord has done for you in the past? Gratefulness is, to me, one of the things that will set your faith on fire. It will get you excited. It will get you expectant.

Like Barb said, He wants to show Himself. That’s the thing about God. He loves to impress. He does. That is a character of God. The Bible says, “Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can imagine or think.” He says I’m so thrilled about you personally; today I want to show you something you’ve never seen. And for everyone here, that’s what the Holy Ghost is saying. Today I want to show you something you haven’t seen before.

Thank You for Your grace today. Thank You that today is the day of my salvation. I thank You, Lord, that the deliverance that you delivered me from the paths of unrighteousness. Thank You for delivering me out of the bed of affliction. (Thanksgiving, etc… )

Every one of us has something we can be grateful for. Let’s stand up, lift your hands to heaven, and thank Him.

Group stood up and began to exuberantly thank God…

Word came forth…

I hear the Holy Ghost saying this for somebody here. “It’s not what you think in your head. It’s what you believe in your heart. For your head will take you to places where you don’t want to go. Your thoughts will get captivated by natural things and they are the things that will keep you bound. But salvation is made with your heart. Just as you have become born again and you believe with the heart and with your mouth you confess, this is how those natural things change. So the head is the thing that is getting in the way. It’s slowing you down. It’s keeping you sick. It’s causing you to stay where you’re at when you want to be in a different place. I have said all things are possible for those who believe. If I said it’s so then it’s so. Now you can believe My Word or you can believe what you see. You have a choice. Choose life and watch Me show you what I can do. I am who I say I am. And I can do what I say I can do. So take hold of this word and know in your heart, start pressing with your heart, not your mind. Let the peace of God garrison your heart. Follow your heart and your mind will come into line. You’ll no longer believe the natural things. You’ll hold fast to the things that are just, pure, and praiseworthy. Labor to enter into that rest, that peace. Let that peace guard your heart and mind. Watch as I perform that which I said I would do. Hold fast to those things that I said to you in the past. It shall be as I said it would be. No more waiting. No more lack. No more sickness.

His All-Sufficient Presence

“Thus saith Jehovah, the Maker of it, Jehovah that formed it, to establish it, Jehovah is His name. Call unto Me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knewest not.” This is a very glorious and inspiring promise but the most glorious part of it is the preface and the name by which God introduces Himself to the prophet. “Thus saith Jehovah, the Maker of it.” That is, not the Creator of the universe but the Creator of the thing which Jeremiah is about to ask for. It is something which does not now exist and for which the very materials do not yet appear. It is something which, naturally speaking, is impossible. It is something which God has to cut, not out of whole cloth, but out of no cloth. It is something which must be created in order to become a reality and of which he says, “I am the Maker of it, I will create it … I will form it and then I will establish it.”

Just as the Lord has shown Himself and continues to show, we need to show Him that we believe. Show Him that you believe! Your words, your actions, everything you do, show Him that you agree with Him, that you’re on the same page. How Him that you believe!

Group continues to praise the Lord…
