Prayer Summary for February 11

The following excerpt was taken from Devotions for the Praying Heart: Prayer Notes by Lynne Hammond:

II Thessalonians 2:7 states “For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until he who restrains is taken out of the way.”

God is marshaling His forces just as a nation would marshal its military forces to prepare for a possible war, He is assembling His spiritual army on the earth. He is reminding everyone of us as saints of the Lord we are called to be soldiers for Him. He’s commanding us in the body of Christ to be strong in His might to put on the whole armor of God and take our stand the whiles of the devil not only in our own lives and families but in our cities and in our nations and in the world. The Lord of Hosts has more for us to do than to sit comfortably in His spiritual pastures feeding on His goodness. He needs for us to rise up now and fight His foes; to use the strength and revelation we’ve been given, to take our spiritual territory and expand the Kingdom of God. But we have a much higher calling as members of the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. You and I are called to resist the powers of darkness in the earth. We are equipped by God to restrain what the New Testament refers to as the mystery of lawlessness that is at work in the world. It’s our job to hold back Satan’s forces until the time of the rapture comes and Jesus returns.

Scripture Reference…

(1)“But relative to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and our gathering together to [meet] Him, we beg you, brethren, (2) Not to allow your minds to be quickly unsettled or disturbed or kept excited or alarmed, whether it be by some [pretended] revelation of [the] Spirit or by word or by letter [alleged to be] from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has [already] arrived and is here. (3)Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition), (4)Who opposes and exalts himself so proudly and insolently against and over all that is called God or that is worshiped, [even to his actually] taking his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God. (5) Do you not recollect that when I was still with you, I told you these things? (6) And now you know what is restraining him [from being revealed at this time]; it is so that he may be manifested (revealed) in his own [appointed] time. (7) For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until he who restrains is taken out of the way.” II Thessalonians 2:1–7 (Amp.)

The following commentary was taken from the Revival Study Bible:

The ancient mystery of lawlessness or iniquity has so gradually unfolded it’s hideous scheme over the process of thousands of years, subtly and gradually moving all boundaries of truth, morality, doctrine, conscience and definition for sin that it is difficult to pinpoint and expose. Right and wrong become relative theory individualistic and subject to the whims and feelings of those who are influenced by the mystery. Revival exposes the broken places the gaps and the boundaries and demands that the individual take responsibility for the exposed breeches and repair them in society, church, relationships, personal lifestyle and more. This ancient mystery is purposed to establish a stage for an upcoming enemy, the antichrist whose subtle seduction will woo the simple boundary-less person into deception. Until the boundaries are restored this foe is able to accomplish his purpose. Revival forces the issue and requires the restoration of these truths.

Prayed…

Thank You, Father, for the anointing
For God-given connections within the body of Christ bringing information from Heaven
Connections that lift, inform, renew, and re-strengthen in Jesus’ name
Declaring the Church is on the increase—there are more with us than with them
Thank You, Father, for a great healing move by Your Spirit
It’s the dinner bell for the lost—healing in Jesus’ name!
Stirring ourselves up, knowing what You told us in Your Word
Enabling us to see and know what others do not see or know
Staying in the flow of Your Spirit, filling us more and more every day
You are the healer of the broken hearted—scars being healed now in Jesus’ name
Let the rivers of healing waters flow
Removing obstacles of every kind—tumors and growths of every kind washed away by Your healing blood
Such LIFE is in Your blood—we let it flow!
Removing every memory that would obscure us from seeing the richness of Your love
Your scars are removed now in the river of love
Pure water from heaven, reaching and touching lives everywhere

Pastor Ray shared…

I saw this picture while Mary was singing. Where the rivers would flow… really I heard it like this. Where He said “My rivers are flowing and the more you ask for Me to come in My presence, the more your heart opens for those rivers, heaven-sent water, to come in.” And It was like pools as it would come out and the scars, some 10 years, some 20 years, some 30 years, maybe more… Every time that there would be a settling down and quietness that scar would come up again, the memory of it, the taste of it, just the thoughts about it. But in these waters, heaven sent fountains of living water, I saw that there was like a pool filled with living water and the debris and the memory and the taste of those scars were washed out, washed away. And on the other side of it, absolute freedom and peace that passes all understanding. It’s over, saith the Lord. It’s been done for I have won. The victory has been sent so receive it by faith and let it go. Let go and see in you healing and wholeness of every kind.

I don’t mean to just focus on scars but that seemed to be something that came up as soon as Mary sang that. I felt somewhere, somebody, somehow… that needs to happen right now. It could be things that happened in other people, relative or other ones that you know. It’s like a gnawing, a continual negativity but today, freedom and victory in those waters. I saw how important it is to keep on asking, opening up our hearts more and more to be being filled. It pushes out and cleanses us from all that debris, washed away, absolutely totally free. What does that do? It allows us to walk up and all the way through with a new bounce in our steps; a new joy in our hearts which brings about absolute total strength from heaven. Then it’s not us, it’s Him. It’s You, Lord. It’s Your strength. It’s heaven sent.

Continued Praying…

Thank You, Father, for helping us to get up and to go all the way through
For healing all our scars, individually and corporately
Entering into new rooms, new territories—unchained and totally free
It’s over and beyond—greater!
So much is at stake today—contending for the new and overcoming through the blood
A sustained way, covered in the blood!
Thank You, Father, that we can use the blood today and every day
It’s not impossible or even improbable—we just shake it off in the name of Jesus!
Leaders on the front line, we speak strength to You—increasing in the Spirit of Seeing and Knowing
Sounds of change!
There is freedom in the house—there is victory in the plan, hallelujah!
The wind of the Spirit is blowing, bringing change
Fire is there, wind is there, rain is there
It’s a happy, happy day—turning in a new, right way!
Overcoming in this day—refreshed as we flow
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah!
It’s a joy ride full of strength—it’s a glory way, it’s a glory day
Thank You, Father, for the increase and for all the breakthroughs—for the more!
We give You all the praise, honor, and glory in the precious name of Jesus
