Prayer Summary for December 19

Prayed…

Father, we lift up and pray over each and every electoral vote that will be cast today
We plead the blood of Jesus over each Electoral College member that will vote
No weapon formed against them shall or will prosper in any way!
We take authority over every evil plan of the enemy
No, those evil powers of darkness will not misrepresent, turn, or change the vote in the wrong way!
Father, we pray a hedge of protection over each member of the Electoral College
We declare that they will vote in the way their people voted in their states
No, not in a different way, not in some other way, but in the right way!
Pleading the blood of Jesus over these votes
Thank You, Father, for the right outcome, we watch over it with our eyes of faith!
Praying out ahead and praying over Inauguration Day, on January 20
We pray and we agree in faith that the presence of Your Holy Spirit would be in the midst of that day, Lord
When President Elect Trump takes his oath, we ask that Your Spirit would be around and about him
Father, we pray a hedge of protection around that event in Jesus’ name!
Pleading the blood of Jesus around President Elect and over every member of his cabinet
Change on the 20th of January!
It will begin a demonstration of Your change for the United States of America!
We cover every aspect with the blood of Jesus from now until Inauguration Day
Then we declare for the blood of Jesus to be around and about him that day going forward!
What must be done, we declare it shall be done!
Praying for wisdom, understanding, revelation, ministry of Your Spirit and a covering of Your blood to be around President Elect Trump
We thank You for it, Father, thank You, Lord
Enemy, be still and move out of the way; you were defeated at Calvary by the blood that was shed!
You have been defeated and you will remain defeated, a defeated foe!
Every plan of the enemy be disrupted and shut down in Jesus’ name!

Scripture Focus…

“I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. (2) He brought me up out of a horrible pit [of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path. (3) He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear [with great reverence] And will trust confidently in the Lord.” (Psalms 40:1–3 Amp.)

The following commentary to Psalm 40 is taken from The Revival Study Bible:

I Waited Patiently
Psalm 40

The first words of Psalm 40 are the key to the first three verses of this same Psalm.

I

The first word of Psalm 40 is “I.” I, not my pastor, not my father, not my mother, not my brother, not my sister, not my friend, I! You cannot pass this first word off on to another. If revival is going to come to your heart, it will begin with the word I. Revival is personal.

Waited

The second word of the Psalm is “waited.” Waiting implies dependence. Waiting implies trust. Waiting says, “I’m listening.” Waiting says, “I need help!” Waiting says, “I have a plan, and my plan is to wait, in full trust upon the Lord.” Revival is planned.

Patiently

The third word is “patiently.” Revival is personal, it requires a plan but most importantly it implies a posture—the posture of a patient disposition. Patiently says, “I’m in no hurry.” Patiently says, “I’m here as long as it takes.” Patiently says, “In your time, Lord, not mine.”

Look what happens after those first three words:
• He inclined to me
• He heard my cry
• He brought me up out of a horrible pit
• He brought me out of the miry clay
• He set my feet on a rock
• He established my steps
• He put a new song in my mouth

Look who gets in on the blessing:
• Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord (SH)

Psalm 40:1–3, The new song

“The new or fresh song, one type of the songs of the Lord, can be one of the most powerful evangelistic tools available to the believer. This new song, inspired by heartfelt relationship and grateful thanksgiving, expresses the only type of praise God actually inhabits or builds His presence on. Tehillah, translated as praise is a hymn or laudation of God, often experienced in the latter stages of revival just prior to the ingathering harvest of souls. The new song makes a tangible impact on the saved and unsaved soul, opening their spiritual eyes to godly fear and eventual trust in God.”
